CHAPTER SEVEN The ferry remained at anchor for several hours as the crew fished a succession of people in life jackets from the sea. At one point, an announcement nearly deafened Eva as the ship’s captain asked for anybody with any sort of medical experience to come to the deck where they were holding their catch.
