SINFUL AFFECTION

HEAVEN P.O.V There's a popular quote that says_Life is not a bed of roses and am just starting to realize that at this point of my life. Growing up as a kid, I always got everything I wanted. A good and understanding parents, A loving brother and the prince charming of my life. What more could I possibly ask for? But unfortunately my mom died of cancer devastating us mostly my brother cuz he was Mama's boy and I was the Papa's princess. After a year,I got married to my prince charming. He was the sweet and loving husband every woman wished for_And that was until we found out that we couldn't have babies because am Sterile. I was Torn apart, heartbroken and almost fell into depression if my brother and father weren't always there me and always stood by me. Things changed between I and Connor, He was no longer the sweet and loving husband he was before. He barely speaks to me, Comes home late at night,Hits me sometimes and barely have s*x with me. He only have s"x with me when he's angry and needs someone to vent it on. Each time I talked to him about it, he'll always give an excuse saying he's exhausted from work or wasn't in the mood. According to him,Am now the useless wife who stays at home all day doing nothing other than being a nagging wife and a pain in his neck. "Good morning honey"I said with a smile as he walked into the living room. "Did you make my coffee?"He asked in a bored tone, without responding to me_not even with a smile. "I went out for my morning run, I'll make your coffee immediately"I replied, almost quickly. I didn't want him to get angry again. He waved his hand off annoyingly grabbing his keys and headed towards the door. "Connor"I called out, hurriedly walking after him. "Connor!!!" He didn't turn back at me. I ran towards him but he already got into the car and drove out in speed. Again, I did it again. Why do I always mess things up. Sighing out sadly, I walked back into the house and took my phone wanting to call my best friend. *********** "Katie!!!"I shouted excitedly, pulling her to a tight hug. She chuckled returning my hug. "It's only been four days, Did you miss me that much?" "Of course I do, Didn't you miss me?"I narrowed my eyes, staring at her with a frown. She nodded. "I missed you, Happy now?"She grinned. "Very, How have you been?"I asked as we both sat down together. "Good and you?" I sighed. "Great"I smiled. My cheeks hurt from smiling too much, Pretending like everything was alright when deep down am not. "What did that Asshole of a husband do this time?"Her expression was filled with anger. "Don't call him that"I mumbled, staring at my palms. Her gaze softened and she took my hand in hers in a comforting manner. "Why don't you divorce him?"She said softly. My eyes went wide at what she said. "Of course not, I still love him and I believe he'll change" She rolled her eyes at me and sighed again. "You have too, I mean you're still young and very pretty. You can still find love again heaven"She tried to convince me but I pulled my hand away from hers and stood up abruptly. "You don't understand Katie, I've been with him for three years of my life. I can't just throw that away...I just can't" She shook her head and sighed. "I hope he changes" "He will"I replied confidently with a small smile. ****** I couldn't stop thinking about what Katie said to me earlier_With the way he's been treating me lately, my mind seems to agree with what Katie said about getting a divorce but my heart... I still love Connor very much and I hope everything goes back to the way it was between us. I hope so. Reaching out for my phone,I dialed Connor's number and waited patiently for him to pick up. He wasn't answering and I tried again but still didn't answer. I dropped the phone and walked into the bathroom wanting to take a cold shower before heading to bed. Finally done,I walked out of the bathroom with a towel and a wide smile formed on my face when I heard the familiar sound of a car. Connor is back. I immediately got dressed and walked into the living room where I saw him already walking in with a tired look on his face. Quickly getting a glass of Cold water, I gave It to him and he gladly took it before taking a sit sighing out loudly. "Are you okay?"I asked, hesitantly placing my hands on his shoulder. "Heaven,Am really sorry about the way have been treating badly you lately. I want us back babe believe me I do,We can always adopt a baby or a surrogacy,I don't care anymore I just wanna be happy with you forever"He said softly, holding both my hands. I couldn't believe my ears, Connor was really apologizing and didn't have any problem with us adopting or getting a surrogate anymore. If this is a dream then I don't wanna wake up anymore. "You really mean that?"I asked, I could feel the tears already spilling out of my eyes. He nodded slowly and kissed my forehead before pulling me into a tight hug. God. I've missed this so much. I got a whiff of a female's scent on his shirt and immediately shook my head at the thought that ran through my head. Connor would never cheat on me. "Am also sorry Connor,I couldn't give you what we always wanted"I mumbled, staring down at my hands embarrassedly. "It's not your fault, The only thing is that we love each other and nothing can ever come between us"He replied, kissing me softly on my lips. I smiled into the kiss slowly kissing him back. "My mum called, she wants us to come over to Hawaii tomorrow for a family get-together vacation"He said. I gasped, smiling widely. Have always wanted to go to Hawaii and now it's finally happening. "Really?, When?"I couldn't hide the excitement in my voice. "Tomorrow"he replied. "Wow...I didn't know your parents had a house in Hawaii" "It belongs to my brother, The one I told you about that was released from Prison about a month ago. He's also the reason why mom threw this get together family vacation" I've Never met Connor's brother before but one thing I knew was he committed and offensive crime and spent about eight years in prison. Connor never really talked about him and it was obvious that he didn't really like his brother or was close to him. "While we're in Hawaii heaven, You won't talk to him or try to be friends with him. He's dangerous for everyone around him." "I won't, I promise"I smiled softly. Connor was finally back to me and that's all that matters. If only I knew fate had other plans for me......
