Avery Summer has always been my best season and this year I wasn't planning on wasting it by drowning myself with work and watching movies at my apartment. "I think it's time for a change ,"I said as I turned to my secretary giving her instructions. She gave a cheeky grin and I knew there was something more. "spill!" She turned crimson red as she fiddled with her fingers.One thing I've realized about her she always acts like a romance struck teenager whenever she is in love.So definitely there was a new guy in her life. "Okay...there is this guy... actually it's my boss,"she said as she blushed more. Jennifer has been having a huge crush on her boss ever since she started working as his P.A one year ago. "We've been hanging out for sometime now and yesterday he asked me to be his girlfriend," "and you never told me anything? since when did we start Keeping secrets?"I exclaimed as I threw her a pillow. "Sorry...I accept the blame ,I was just scared you know he is my boss,I don't want people to start saying I earned myself the position of a P.A by sleeping around with my boss," I rolled my eyes,"Who are you and what have you done to my best friend?" "Am serious Avery," "and so am I, the Jennifer I know doesn't give a f**k about what everyone says,people will forever talk and hate as long as he loves you and you do,then block everyone out of your relationship,"I said. "I love you A,"she said as she gave me a bear hug. *** The two days had flown by miraculously and it was time to start off our summer in style.I finished my packing and I scrolled through the social media as I waited for Jennifer to come pick me up.We will be using her car. Ramon, Jennifer's boyfriend and boss wanted to join us but Jennifer insisted it's a girl's trip and the poor guy was too whipped to resist. "Summer bitches here we come!"Jennifer screamed as she parked in front of my apartment.I smiled at her as we pilled my suitcase in her booth.It was an eight hour drive so to kill time we sang along to Ariana's hits.Life couldn't be any sweeter. My parents passed away in a car crash when I was eighteen so it has always been me alone till college when I bumped into Jennifer and we clicked. She's french ,so her parents live in France ,she visits them once after every two months and sometimes she drags me along. *** I might have dozed off since the next thing I felt was cold water splashing on my face. "You are so dead!"I screamed as I quickly took off my seatbelt and ran after a screaming Jennifer but I was immediately stopped by my sorroundings.The beach house was located at walking distance from the ocean and there were several beach houses around us.It was at night so the view of the moon illuminating it's light on the ocean was a sight to die for. Abondinng my mission I ran to the ocean and smiled when I felt the warm water on my feet. "It's beautiful ,right?"Jennifer said joining me making me remember my revenge. "Yeah,true,"I said as I grabbed her and pushed her into the ocean.She fell screaming and that's when we started our water fight. we fought for almost thirty minutes till we both gave up and sat by the shore our clothes literally soaking.It was then that I felt it...the intense gaze of someone not the gaze that will make you freak out but the type that makes chills run down your spine,the type that makes you lust for something ,the type that makes you wet... "Did you even hear me,"Jennifer nudged me pulling me out of my reverie. "Huh," She facepalmed herself before repeating her words,"I said we should get back to our house and unpack." "oh, yeah,"I said as I stood up...my eyes scanned the visinity but there was no one else around apart from the two of us.I guess it was just my imaginations.
