It was shocking for us to have a visitor past midnight. Especially when we don’t get visitors at all. But it was more shocking for us to see who was on the other side of the door.
“Cora!”
As soon as we opened the door, a tired and huffing Cora, who was barely supporting herself on the door frame, fell down on us. We caught her before she can hit the floor and picked her up. Then we took her to our bedroom and laid her down on our bed. At that moment, we noticed the condition she is in.
Her face has become all pale and dull. She has become thinner than before. There are dark circles under her eyes, along with a cut on her forehead and on lips. Her hand and legs are swollen and there’s blood coming out of those multiple wounds und
