I never imagined that I'll be in this place. I just read it from the books, and watch it from the movies and dramas. But here I am being in the same position as them. "Nat, are you okay? I've been calling you many times?" Went back in my sense when I heard my friend Scarlet snap her fingers in front of me. "You are spacing out, Nat." "I'm sorry, what is it again?" We are currently at the cafe and my friend is telling me something that I didn't understand because I've been spacing out so much. "I've been talking nonstop here, so you're not listening. What happened to you?" I just smiled at her. I'm not yet ready to tell them everything, not now. "I'm just thinking about something, I'm sorry." I tried to use my charm to Scarlet, because I know that she can't resist it. "Alright, I'm telling about this guy that I meet in our office. He look really freaking good!" Scarlet will always be Scarlet. She always get excited when it's about a guy that she just randomly saw somewhere. After having a small conversation with my friends we both bid our goodbye since people in our office is already waiting for us. Mostly to me, since I still have a meeting to attend. Driving from the cafe to my office is already exhausting. As I arrived at the office people there show respect to me by greeting me, and I greeted them back. Went straight to the conference room, and saw them all waiting for me. "Sorry I'm a bit late. Let's start the meeting." At the age of 22 my parents let me handle our company since they all expected a lot from me. I came from a wealthy family, owning almost the half of the place where I live. Graduate with a latin honor, living the best of her of life. But nobody is perfect like what people said. It's not always full of fun, it's not always happy. I sighed as I look on the papers in front of me. Being the only person that your parents trust for the company sucks. "Meeting adjourned." I said as I end the meeting everyone relaxed themselves and I fix my things. "Thank you for today." I stood up and leave the room to go to my office. "We had dinner meeting with the Alfonso tonight for their upcoming wine release." My secretary said as she continue to follow me to my office. "Clear my schedule for the remaining five months." I said as I finally inside my office and sat down on my shiver chair. She look shocked after hearing what I just said. "Ma'am?" My secretary Clarissa is so loyal to in the past two years working in the company she never leave my side, and always accompany me in everything. She help me adjust in the company. "You heard it right. I'll be in vacation for five months, just notes them that maybe Mom or Dad will be here again." She still not moving and still looking straight to me that's why I raised my brows and that made me confused. "What?" "Are you okay?" That makes me smile, aside from being secretary Clarissa is like an older sister that I never had. "I'm okay, I just need vacation. Tho I haven't talk it to Mom and Dad, but I know they will let me." She just nodded and do something in her ipad and look at me. "I'll be in my station, call me if you have something you want." I nodded and watch her leave my office. I sighed and relaxed my back. I looked at the ceiling and contemplate. I don't exactly know what I'm going to do in the five months. I have a lot of things in my mind, but I don't know how am I gonna start. My phone alarm that's why I turned it off and get something from my bag. It's a medication that my doctor gave me. I drink this to avoid severe headache. After drinking it I send message to Mom and Dad and tell them that I wanted to talk to them this dinner. After the office hours I went straight to the house since I promise to have dinner with my family. I immediately saw my younger brother at the living room watching the tv, he glance to me and look so shock to see me. "God! I am not dreaming I am!? Sister!" He run to me and hug me. I never been home for a couple of months because I am too busy. Been going to my condo to sleep. "What's brings you here!? Did you know how much I miss you?" Nerwin is my younger brother. He's in 2nd year college, but still act like a baby to me. "I told Mom and Dad that I'll be having dinner here. I thought they told you." I brush up his hair and saw how beautiful smile is. "I also miss you. How are you?" I stay close with my younger brother as we grow older. "I'm doing fine. Sometimes not, but mostly doing fine. How about you? Are you taking care of yourself?" That makes me laugh. "I am, don't worry about me. Oh! I'll just change my clothes so we can have dinner when Mom and Dad arrive." He nodded that's why I went upstairs to my room. Nerwin and I had 4 years age gap not that huge that's why we still stay close to each other. I never let someone hurt him, and he also did the same to me. Aside from our parents, we only have each other that's why we're protecting each other. After changing my clothes I stayed on my room for a meantime and look at my stuff. I still had almost all my stuff since I just move in my condo when I started working for the company since our parents still want us to live in one house even though we are grown ups. I was busy contemplating when I heard a knock on my door. "Nat, the dinner is ready. Your Mom and Dad are also already here." It's one of the staff here in the house. "I'll be down in a minute." I shouted and fix myself. I look at the mirror and saw that I look fine that's why I went downstairs. In the kitchen I saw my Dad and Mom with Nerwin. I went to my Dad first to give him a kiss in his cheeks and greeted him, and I also did it to my Mom. "How are you doing, Nat?" Dad asked as I sat down with them. I looked at Dad and give him a smile. "Doing good the company is also doing good." I don't know what's up with my parents after they gave me the company. I heard that they are going to some gathering and enjoying their free time. "That's good to hear." We are not as perfect as other people thinks. Tho it's okay to have them as a parents, but they are still strict with some things. "Let's eat first before taking about stuff like that. This is our dinner with Nat after a long time so let just enjoy it." My Mom said that's why we do as what she said. We had a peaceful dinner. No one is really talking while eating, like how they always wanted it to be. Our parents always been teaching us to be prim and perfect even Nerwin is not exempted about it. They always wanted to show the best to everyone. But one thing I adore about them as a parents is behind the strong aura that they had is a soft and caring parents to me and Nerwin. They've been doing what makes the both of us happy. "You said that you have something to say to us, Nat." We are almost done eating that's why Dad start talking again. I looked straight into his eyes. "I want to ask permission for vacation." I said in a serious but in a polite tone. I saw how he stopped and look to me. "Are you having hard times in the company?" This is actually makes me nervous, because this is my first time asking for a vacation that more than a week. "It's not like that, Dad. I just really want to have vacation." Because when I graduate from college they just gave me one week to prepare and have fun with my friends, then since then I never had a proper vacation. "How long?" This is it, Nat. I sighed and look down. I can feel Mom and Nerwin's eyes looking at me. "For five months." I said it in lower tone because I feel really nervous about asking about it. "Why that long, Nat?" I heard Mom ask, but I didn't answer and just waited for Dad to say something. "Where are you going?" Dad asked that made me raise my head and look at him again. "I need to know where are you going." That just mean one thing he's letting me. "Anywhere I go if it's possible. I still haven't decided about it." I saw him nodded his head slowly. He even wiped his lips using the napkin and looked at me. "Just make sure that you're keeping yourself safe. Don't worry about the company, I'll handle it while you're on vacation." My smile grew as I heard what Dad said. "Thank you, Dad!" He gave me a smile and nodded. For the meantime I want to set myself free. I want myself to explore a lot of things.
