Endless Night

After my long run in the forest, I plopped down on my bed, groaning. Claude soon came after. "When did you get here," I asked confused. I though I was the only one in the whole camp. "Lunch, you were the only one running all day." He smirked. I glared at him and was about to throw straw in his face, when I heard an eerie howl. It sounded so mournful and sad. A few more voices answered. "What is that," I asked. "Well, when you were out running all day, I had to sit here and learn." I rolled my eyes internally. "We live by the Thorny Rose wolf pack." "Thorny Rose sounds like a pup made it up," I commented. "It was," he said seriously. "Oh, by the way everyone is at dinner." I told him,"after dinner, we will talk."

We strolled into dinner, and I saw our instructor glare at us behind a raw piece of chicken. I hate him so much. I looked at the table, and all there was, was nasty raw meats. I sat down and waited for my friend to get back. Our instructor came to me when Claude had just sat down. "Why aren't you eating? Is the food not to your liking?" I was silent, knowing if I say anything against him, I might get smacked,or worse. The muttering in the kitchen died down, and dozens of eyes turned to look at us. He yelled. "Are you deaf, I asked you a question! If you won't eat our delicious meat, you will get something a lot worse! I have almost had it with you!" He then stalked up to a thin blond woman, and told her to get the punishment. She slowly blinked her large, blue eyes, and scurried to the kitchen. He looked pleased with himself, as he slammed a bowl of oats and nuts with a tan pumpkin sauce over it. It looked delicious. "You have to eat all of this by quarter to nine" I looked at the clock, and it was eight forty."And if you don't, you will be kicked out of here. I expect you to have the bowl clean and leave it on the table the whole time." He looked so happy with himself, and was grinning from ear to ear. He clasped his hands, and left the table. The lady heaped some more in my bowl, and left with him. I smirked, and started eating.

After dinner, Claude asked me what was wrong with me. "What do you mean?" He said, "you ate that slop like it was good." "It was," I answered back truthfully. He frowned and said, "I will take raw meat any day, builds muscle." I shrugged and walked to the entrance of my hut, and sat. "Did you learn anything while I was out?" He sat down beside me and thought. "Only one cool thing." "Which is," I prompted. "How to turn back human." "Show me," I stood up. He said close your eyes, which I did instantly. "Think of nothing at all, and then feel your legs and hands. The rest will come after. Though, it doesn't matter about the order" I opened my eyes, and stood up. The suit I was wearing stretched to my full height and fit perfectly. He looked at me shocked. "What." I asked confused. "I thought your eyes would be different." "What makes you say that," I asked as I looked in the lake, my eyes the same chocolate brown rimmed with dark grey. I even had the black specks around in my eyes that I had before I was experimented on. He said," it doesn't matter, night," and walked into his hut. I decided that I needed to run in my human body, so I went onto the winding trail.

In the middle of the trail, I heard light footsteps. I stood very still, looking in the direction where I heard the footsteps. A few moments later. A curly red haired girl skipped up to me. She looked about twelve, and her striking green eyes looked so innocent. She looked so out of place in these eerie woods. She asked, "have you seen a witch?" I was confused, "No?" She has black eyes and a tiny mouth she told me with a grin. I don't think that was a witch, so I asked,"do you know her?" No, but she told me she would tell me my future if I meet her in the woods." I told her,"never meet someone in the woods at night." "how about you?" I told her, "We did not agree to meet, so I am sure you are safe. Just then, a whole group of people with black eyes swung out of the trees to us.

"What are you," I asked. One snickered and showed huge, glistening fangs filling her small mouth. She whipped her black hair over her shoulder and said," You are interrupting, if you value your life, leave." "Never," I said." You deal with me." I was both scared and angry that they would do this to a girl. I will protect her until the end. I fluffed up my fur to make them think that I wasn't scared. "Ohh she wants a piece of us,"A greasy haired male said. I then heard the howling. Something clicked in my mind, and I mustered all the fear in me into one long howl. I didn't sound remotely like a werewolf, but it was the only thing I could think of. They mocked me thinking that I was dumb and wanted to act like a short wolf. At least they weren't attacking. Once the laughter died down, the leader gave the signal to attack. I jumped into defense mode facing them head on as they tried to get to the girl. I felt teeth sinking into my shoulder, and I bit his face, tearing a part off, as I kicked a vampire away from the girl. "Run!" I yelled as claws raked down my back. I tried one last time to get help with a bark, before sinking under teeth and claws. I heard panting and felt weight getting thrown off of me. I smelled cinnamon blueberries, what an oddly nice scent, before hearing a whisper of sleep, and then everything went black.
