Dead by Your Hands

313 Words
I got up sore, hitting my head on sand. Fragments of sand were packed together, making a dome around me. The brothers were sprawled on the stomachs, sliced palms on my stomach. They looked okay, but were not moving. It looked as if they were sleeping. I got up, gently sliding them to the floor. Pressing my ear against the sand, I heard muffled crying. Then there was silence. I then heard whistling in the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb. I scraped the sand, peeking through a hole. There was an old janitor cleaning up the mess like nothing happened. "Hi?" He glanced at the huge sand dome in shock, before cautiously approaching. "Who's there." I decided he was harmless, but just to make sure, I kicked the sand dome, making him jump. A dent was on my end. "Please let me out." He frowned "Who put you in here?" "It was two people." Both of them were still lying on the ground. He looked a little panicked. "Where are they?" "In here." He asked,"Who are you?" "Clara" "Never heard of you." You must be a trespasser." He left. I yelled at him to let me out, nothing happened. I grabbed both of the brother's hands, and slammed it on the sand, nothing. I was trapped without food or water for who knows how long, and the best I could do was a little peek-hole. I sensed Shadow stirring. He barely had any energy left, but he managed to yank me down, I noticed for the first time that all the bullet holes in my body were gone. He whispered sorry and another word that I could not hear, and he stabbed me in the chest. My limp body hung between them, our blood pooling together, as we took our last breath. I wish they didn't include me in their group-suicide.
