A Total Stranger

996 Words
I saw him, the stalker. He was only a shadow, dressed in all black. He grabbed me, and flew through the forest at top speed. I did not want to be grabbed like a damsel in distress. I kicked him in the stomach, but he just tightened his hold around me. The scent of cinnamon blueberries was overwhelming. It pushed itself into my head, making my stressed mind dizzy. I kept telling myself that I will not pass out. Abruptly, I was jolted out of his arms. I fell, rolling through the leaf litter, until finally stopping on me face. A masked lady was there. Her mask looked like tin-foil, and was shaped as a crow. She had two long, wicked, knifes in her hands. They gleamed in the moonlight. The shadow stood, hood so low, I couldn't see his face. His gloved hands were raised, ninja style. She spoke, her voice as cool as the purist creek. "I do not appreciate men running off with women." He did not make a sound. "She lunged, one knife pointed at his heart, the other at his face. He effortlessly dodged it, giving her a swift kick to the ribs. This was the best show I have ever watched, as I dangled in a tree, wondering what will happen next. They circled each other, and then her mask changed. It was now a wolf. We looked at her in confusion, who was this person. She lunged, slicing his side with her knife. We were confused, who was this masked lady and where did she come from. My brain started hurting, as if it was trying to tell me something. I just watched the two strangers try to murder each other. They exchanged blow after blow, until the shadow ran away, wounds dripping crimson blood over the forest floor. The strange masked lady took a vile out of her black purse, and took a sample of the blood. She glanced at me, and ran away. I told myself that I need to train a lot more, before being picked up the same as before. It was the shadow. He growled in my ear,"I will never leave my prize behind." I looked under his hood, it was too dark to see anything. I then changed into a fox. He grappled air, and I pressed my paw into one of his deep cuts, tearing it even more. He lunged at me, trying to grab me. I easily dodged. It was a lot easier to move as a fox. I jumped at him, and as he tried to catch me, I sunk my teeth into his hand. The glove was no match for my teeth, and I tasted blood. He grabbed me by the scruff, tearing his hand in the process. Angrily, I latched on to his arm. I saw a glimpse of skin. He was extremely tan for someone who runs around in all black. He slammed me down on the ground, the stars in the night sky prancing around in my vision. He then started to run again. He took me to a boat, where others were waiting. The horn honked, and I looked out the porthole as we made our way out to the deep sea. I was furious that I allowed myself to be captured by these strange people in black. At least they are giving me space, but I felt their staring eyes. This is so freaky. The one that captured me, i'm calling shadow, had come back from some other part of the ship. I smelled water on him and soap. He was dressed in new clothes, these all black as well. He handed me two trays, one had a poster. It was of the masked lady. She was a wanted criminal. The other was some Beef Jerky and a banana. I ate and looked at the poster: This lady has been known to job jewelry stores and museums. If you have any information, please tell the authorities. She is a dangerous criminal, who has killed countless people. She is also known to kill native and non-native wolves living in the wild. Scientists are still working on why strange wolves are appearing in the forest. Again, if you see her, report her. She is always found with a mask on, and it seems that she changes her masks. He spoke,"So what is she to you? An aunt, sister, grandma, mother, friend?" I frowned at him,"I do not know her, and nor do I care about the authorities or you for that matter." I heard him laugh. "You care about me a lot more than you really think." I started to get scared."Where are we going?" He sat down on a black couch,"Somewhere. Answer my question, and I will answer yours." I guess that I will not be getting any answers since I don't know anything. I ate all the jerky. I wondered, If they would kill me, would they feed me. A thought came to my mind. What if they sell me? I need to escape right away, but how? The truth is that I can't. They are too strong for me. I lay on the couch, listening to the quiet mutters of the group, and tried to sleep. Sleep would not take me, and I got up when I heard a series of thumps. Looking through the porthole, I saw land. We must not of had to go far. I saw one get off, and heard people speaking Spanish. Spanish, that is strange. Are we in Spain. Maybe we were in Mexico. I am so impatient. I ran out of the ship. Someone grabbed me, but didn't pull me back inside. There were stores out on the water. I looked in amazement. People walked to and from the stores that were over the water. I was then pulled back to the ship, and someone stuffed a berry in my mouth, and I fell asleep again.
