I woke up to honey brown eyes staring at me. I jumped and whirled around. I was in a room of pillows. The room was colored blue, but you couldn't tell that right away with all the pillows. The pillows were all shapes, colors, and sizes. In the entryway, Shadow stood with his arms crossed. The person staring at me looked odd. His skin was dark brown, and he had make-up around his eyes. He must be an Egyptian Necromancer. I have never seen one up close before. He smiled showing golden teeth. "I welcome you, I hope you are comfortable?" I just nodded, wondering if he is faking being nice."You have the ring, do you not?" I nodded."DO NOT DESTROY IT AT ALL COSTS! I guess he was faking being nice. He continued,"I am honored to meet my son's future mate." This cannot be. I will not be forced into marriage to the person who stole me. "I am not his mate." He frowned."Fate decides young woman, not you. Here, you can do whatever you like." I couldn't help myself, "Even run away?" He grinned,"Even that, want to go outside?"
Inside, I was screaming no, but I made myself look like a four year old being asked if I want some candy."Yes." He led me down a royal red hallway and outside. The frigid wind blew his scent over to me. He smelled like books. "Umm, I thought we were in Mexico." For miles and miles, all you can see is snow. It was lightly snowing, and I heard a roar from the distance. "The dinosaurs are hungry!" He yelled over the roaring wind. He promptly slammed the door shut, but not before I saw a huge clawed foot. That reminded me of my claw. "Where is my claw?" He looked at me strangely, "Under the pillows so you don't stab yourself to death in your sleep." I ran back into the room, yanking the claw out of the immense pile of pillows. "I do have a favor to ask." He c****d his head, "Yes?" "Can you turn this into the most powerful weapon in the world?" He laughed,"Only if my son allows you. You are his after all." I looked at him, he was sulking in the shadows, not saying anything. His father then strolled down the hall with a wave, leaving me alone with the bad-tempered Shadow.
Shadow growled, "You have gave me a wound that will forever scar." "Oh..." He stood there pouting at me. This was so awkward. "You okay?" I slowly asked. "No!" His anger radiated off him in waves. I tried to step past him, but he pushed me to the floor. Under the hood, I could see bright orange eyes glaring at me. He dragged me to the pillow room, and left, locking the door behind him. I was upset that they were treating me like a pet, so I squirmed under the valley of pillows to sleep.
I was woken up as a hand grabbed my shirt, and jolted me on top of the pillows. Shadow dragged me to the kitchen, and left. I guess he isn't going to forgive me for a while. In the kitchen, there was every ingredient a chef could ever ask for. Different herbs hung from the windows, and so many raw ingredients were in each cupboard. The white floors gleamed under the blue lights. The lavender kitchen walls were as clean as ever, and it was so huge! You could fit twenty limos into the kitchen, and still have room to walk around. I spotted a thick cookbook on one of the polished marble counters. Opening it, I decided to try to make my own fried chicken, and an apple tart. Gathering the ingredients was difficult because I couldn't find which fridge had the thawed chicken, but I soon found it. Gathering the herbs was easy, and I soon had a nice meal. I made too much chicken, and didn't eat all of the tart, when Shadow came back. I didn't want the food to go to waste, nor do I like to be treated like a criminal so I offered him food. "Would you like some? I made it myself." He stared at the food. I got down a plate, and filled it up, then sampled each in case he thought I poisoned it. He sat down, and tried a sample. He must of liked it, because he ate it all in minutes. His mood seemed to improve a bit, because I couldn't feel much rage coming off of him.
He took our plates, and put them in the washer, before turning to me. "I expect an apology." If this was all he needed, then I will gladly do it. "I am sorry.""For what." He prompted. "For giving you scars and trying to run away. He looked satisfied, and walked out of the kitchen again. I followed being the stalker that he is. He didn't even notice me. This was actually exciting. I followed him into a tomb, and he shut the door behind me. "You think you can stalk?"Oh no.
