CHAPTER 8 I groaned and rubbed my eyes as warm sun rays fell on my face. When I opened them, I realized I was in a different bedroom. I sat up slowly and looked around. The room was massive and luxurious — every piece of furniture expensive and carefully placed. A large balcony overflowed with flower pots, the sweet scent of blooms carried in by a gentle breeze through the wide-open window.
