CHAPTER 16 Reaching his place, Salvatore immediately called for extra security and doubled the defenses. After a few phone calls, he left the house that night. Two days passed with no sign of him or his friends. The image of that violent attack haunted me. The guard said they wanted Salvatore, but killing him was nearly impossible.
