Chapter 4- The Beginning Part 4

A month passed by....

No trace of the Dark Siren yet.

So we focused more on increasing the security of Atlantis. By now, dad has stopped trying to approach me as well.

Luckily it was a quiet day today, with no commotion.

I decided to go to the Woods for a run.

My Wolf, Serafine has also been restless since the Gala and it's high time she gets to vent out her frustration too.

Luckily, she is very understanding, hence she understood my reason to stay underwater to track the Dark Siren and protect my kingdom.

Around 6 pm., I went up to the Woods and shifted.

'Gosh, it feels so good to finally feel the wind', Serafine spoke in my head.

'Yes indeed. I missed feeling this. I'm sorry I didn't let you out for so long Seph, even when you were so restless', I told her.

'It's ok. We had to stay back there. We were needed there more.', Seph reassured me.

'I'm so thankful to the Moon Goddess for such an understanding Wolf.' I smiled mentally.

We ran in the woods for so long and so far that I didn't even realize where I was anymore until I saw light nearby, in that same cabin that I had caught dad.

My inquisitiveness got the best of me and I went ahead to check it out.

Though I wish I hadn't because turns out my dad and some other woman was there this time.

My wolf growled in anger and rammed into the cabin door. As soon as I entered, Dad recognized my wolf and leaped in front of me to make me calm down while that woman in fear, transformed right in front of my eyes, into a woman whom I recognized, the same beautiful woman I had first caught dad cheating with.

I realized that this woman is not just a witch but a changeling (i.e a low level witch or a warlock who only has the magic to change their appearance to anyone they want).

Dad started chanting a calming spell to make me calm down and shift back but I made a mind link to my dad and told him, "Don't you try to calm me down dad. Your a lying cheater. I was a fool to trust you again. I don't even know since how long have you been fooling us and that too with a disgusting changeling!!".

He shouted back, "Whatever I do with my life is my wish Andrea and she is not a changeling. Everyone has a right to decide for themselves. I don't need to owe an explanation to anyone. You should know better to be quiet. I keep you all happy but has anyone cared to see about my happiness or what I want! Do you know how suffocating it is for a warlock to stay underwater for his whole life! Do you know it's normal for a Warlock to have more than one lover! So what have I done wrong here!

I left my whole life behind for your mother and all that everyone cares about is the Kingdom but not their King!

Whatever I do on the surface world is my business and concern alone and you or any other person does not have a right to interfere and try to spoil my life on the surface world or underwater!"

If I hadn't been in my wolf form, I would've fallen to my knees, hearing those words.

But as soon as he was done screaming at me, he started chanting a new spell and I could recognize that spell anywhere. It was a hypnotizing spell. I realized that he was trying to hypnotize me and either me forget everything that happened or control me and do whatever he wanted.

I backed away and ran outside but I knew I wouldn't be able to outrun him myself so I gave control over to Seph and she took us away from that cabin. She ran as far away as she could, while I just sobbed feeling like my heart was being crushed all over again. With only one thing repeating in my head,

*Dad cheated again. If that's how he actually feels then how long has he been fooling us!?*

Seph consoled me but she whimpered beside me as well. I calmed myself and looked around the familiar surrounding.

Turns out that Seph got me to my Grandma's House.

I shifted back and went inside.

It was around 10 p.m. by now. I always loved my grandma's house.

My grandma was the Witch Queen and stayed in the castle but after Grandpa passed away she handed down the throne to her Older Son, my Uncle, Owen, and shifted to a country side house. Which still looks nothing short of a massive mansion with a really huge driveway, swimming pool and probably couple of acres of Backyard.

I looked around searching for her inside but I couldn't find her anywhere.

So I went up to her bedroom, I knocked and once she replied, "Come in", I entered.

I rushed towards her bed and hugged her.

She saw my red puffy eyes and asked me what's wrong.

I told her everything.

After hearing the entire story.

She told me, "Oh my Dearest, I didn't know my son would ever do this. But you are right. Telling your mom and sister will only break their heart."

"I know grandma. That's why I ran away. I don't think I can even go back for some time because if I do I dont know what the hell will I do." I replied, wiping my tears, which started falling down my cheeks.

She brushed my hair and said, "You couldn't even stay there for now. You need some time yourself to calm your self down otherwise you wouldn't be able to control your magic since your mind isn't stable right now."

"But I can't even stay here. You know it Grandma that he will eventually come here. Dad knows that I know his secret Grandma and you know him well. He won't stop until he finds me and erases my memories or some other way to subdue me so that do not disclose his infidelity", I said.

"Then there is only one place for you to go to, that no one knows about and where no one can find you either", grandma spoke in a low voice.

"Where grandma?", I replied.

She got up and walked towards her cupboard, opened a secret cabinet therein and sat back next to me, holding out a box in her hand towards me.

"To Cynthia, Remember your 17th Birthday gift that you gave me back saying you don't need it", grandma continued.

I looked at the box in my hand and said, "Wait! That apartment is in Cynthia????? Of all the places in the world, you purchased an apartment for me at the place under Alpha King's protection and territory???????"

I continued, "Grandma you kept your identity as one of the previous Alpha King's daughter hidden from the world, ever since Alpha King Stephen killed your father and took over along with his pack! And now you want me to go there especially when no one even knows that I'm a tribid and Alpha King Cerebus's great grand daughter!"

Grandma patted my head and said, "Don't worry darling, the new Alpha King is a very benevolent and kind person. He and his father, who was the Alpha King before him, greatly regrets the tragedy that happened with my father and our pack. You will be safe there and your father would never even suspect that you will be in Cynthia."

I sighed. *She's right you know*, Steph chimed in.

*Yeah I do know*, I replied.

I let out a breathe and said, "Fine, then I'll get going now grandma. Though I would need one of your cars."

She handed me a key to Grandpa's favorite car - a Red coloured Land Rover Discovery.

And off I was on my destination. Since I knew dad would send guards to chase me, I left a false trail to lead them astray.
