After two weeks of not coming into the office, I decided to make a surprise visit to Arq Tech. I was, after all, the CEO, and I wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly in my absence.
As I entered the building, I could see the look of panic on everyone's faces. They were clearly not expecting me to show up, and they scrambled to put on a good show. But I could see right through their act. They were nervous, and I was curious to find out why.
I strode down the hall to my office, my head held high, ignoring the greetings of the people I passed. I wasn't here to make friends or small talk. I had work to do.
