"As I struggled to free myself from the tangled web of wires and tubes, the machines around me erupted into a cacophony of alarms and warnings. The beeping turned to blaring, the lights flashed brighter, and I knew I had to get out - now. With a surge of adrenaline, I yanked out the IV needle and swung my legs over the side of the bed, ignoring the searing pain in my head and spine.
My vision blurred, but I forced myself to focus. I had to get to Derek, I had to ask what's happening . I stumbled out of the hospital room, into the chaos of the ward, and made my way to the nurse's station. The staff was frantic, trying to restrain me, but I brushed them off with a growl.
