Tessa’s POV
As I glanced back, I saw Robert's car fading into the distance. I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief knowing that I could outspeed him. I didn't want to hear another word from him. All I wanted was for him to leave me alone.
I finally found a silent and alone spot on the side of the road, vehicles passing by were not as much and there were literally no one out of a vehicle.
I bent below the steering wheel and cried my hearts out, wondering what I had done to deserve another cheating man, as if William was not enough. God had to punish me with Robert again.
