William’s POV The sun beat down on the windshield of my car, the air-conditioning struggling to keep up. I felt like I was melting in my seat, sweat beading on my brow. I could barely see through the glare, and I felt a wave of exhaustion wash over me. It was a hot summer day, and the mall parking lot was packed with cars. I sat there for a moment, wondering if I should turn around and head home. I pulled the crumpled piece of paper out of my pocket, the notes from my Isabella scrawled on it.
