Derek’s POV I pushed the weight upwards, my muscles straining beneath my sweat-drenched skin, as Greg stood watchfully beside me. Suddenly, Alfred's booming voice echoed through the gym, making me pause mid-lift. "Why the hell did you let Derek leave the house?" Alfred thundered, his gaze fixed on Greg as if I was invisible. I racked the weight with a clang, sitting up straight and extending a hand in a calming gesture. "Whoa, Alfred, easy does it. What's got you so worked up?" I asked, my tone firm but measured. Alfred's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in disapproval. "You're my problem, Derek. And Greg here cannot seem to do his job right! And babysit you properly."
