Nico
Hahaha!
What a f*****g night!
I hadn’t had that much fun in years.
Last night was such a rush. I heard the wolves growling at me, but the girl had no wolf scent on her.
Just human.
I did catch a whiff of magic, though. So maybe a little witch mixed in.
I know wolves and witches don’t get along, so imagine my surprise when I heard that first growl.
I had to test it.
There was no way those wolves had ever touched her, or I would’ve smelled it. And with the witch I could smell on her, I doubt they knew each other at all.
I flooded her with my pheromones and made her instantly wet.
That’s when I earned another growl from not just one, but two wolves.
Brothers, by the look of it.
I was way too invested.
I was too curious to see what their reaction would be if I took things further.
Then suddenly, the first wolf was on top of me, punching the s**t out of me.
My face is still a bit sore.
I can’t help but chuckle.
That was so much fun.
Teasing those wolves made me feel more than I had in years. Now that it’s over, though, I feel empty.
Like I lost a plaything.
The other wolves who watched everything go down were stunned. They had no clue what was happening either, which tells me this was the first time they had acted like this toward this girl.
Interesting.
A wolf can’t mate with a human or witch. They may be able to fall in love, and a wolf can take on a chosen mate, but fated mates are only between wolves.
So, if they had never met before, what was that reaction about?
I’m too curious.
I want to play more.
I want to test whether that was just a random one-off or if there is something actually happening here.
Those wolves were locals, so they won’t be hard to find. The girl works at the club, so I guess I’ll be going back there to look for her.
The thought makes me excited.
Her blood smelled incredible.
Too bad I didn’t get a chance to taste it.
This time, however, I plan to drink my fill before I take her to the wolves. She was so very receptive to my pheromones, too. I might f**k her real good before that as well.
This next meeting, I want to see how they react to her smelling of my c*m and being damn near drained dry.
Oh, yes.
This will be very fun indeed.
I can’t help the smile that takes over as I imagine it.
Just the thought has me as hard as a diamond. I keep imagining her blood and her wet, virgin p***y.
I unbutton my pants and beat my d**k hard.
It’s not long before I c*m all over the sheets.
Damn.
When was the last time just the thought of a girl made me c*m?
Yes.
This is going to be so much fun.
Let the game begin.
Ellie
I don’t want to go back to work.
That’s the only thought racing through my head this morning.
After the s**t Tony pulled and learning the horrible truth behind most of the girls’ addictions, I never want to set foot in that club again.
I’d rather live in a box on the street.
No job is worth being r***d.
I have to figure something else out.
I have some money saved up from tips, so maybe I can use it for a bus pass or bicycle. Then I could look for work even if it’s a bit farther away.
A bus pass would be really nice.
Then I might be able to find a job in the neighboring town.
I gather a few things and decide to walk around town to see if there is anything close, even though I’ve already looked about a hundred times.
As I lock my door, I feel my wolf go on high alert.
Ever since last night, she’s been on edge.
I can feel her pain and disappointment that she wasn’t able to protect us.
But maybe that was for the best?
If I had unleashed my wolf on Tony or that Nico guy, who knows what would’ve happened?
Still, I don’t think I’m going to take the herbs anymore.
I’ve been looking into them more at the library. I believe I’ve narrowed down which herbs just mask the wolf scent instead of completely suppressing her.
She’s never not been suppressed, and I do wonder what it would be like for her to gain all her strength.
To be able to rely on her for protection would be nice.
I just don’t want to be sniffed out by another shifter. The last thing I need is a pack thinking I’m a rogue, trying to take me in, or worse, finding a mate.
Yeah.
Definitely have to cover her scent.
After we look through town for any job prospects, we can go into the nearby forest to look for the herbs I’ll need.
As we walk through town, I can feel her constantly checking for threats.
She’s already so much stronger than last night, even though it’s only been about ten hours since I took the remedy.
I get to the edge of town and, what do you know?
No one is hiring at the moment.
I start heading toward the bus station. I’ll buy a ticket and go to the next town over to see if there are any places hiring there.
If so, I can hopefully buy an annual bus pass to make it there for work.
It’s a short walk to the station, and the ticket only costs me ten dollars.
I board the bus and sit by a window.
That’s when I feel my wolf tense.
She senses something.
I try not to panic and slowly look around to see what is setting her off.
In the woods a short distance from the station, I can make out a silhouette.
Chills run down my body, and I hear my wolf growl low and threatening.
Finally, the bus starts to pull away.
The figure slowly fades into the distance.
Nate
I’m so tired.
I couldn’t sleep at all last night.
All I could think about was that girl.
I didn’t even catch her name.
Ugh.
What is wrong with me?
Why is a human girl having this kind of effect on me?
I really want to find out more about her.
Starting with her name.
It’s Sunday today, the one day a week that we don’t have any kind of training.
Perfect.
That means I have all day to look for her.
I know she works at that club we were at last night, but other than that, I don’t know a damn thing about her.
Besides the fact that she’s human.
That’s probably the most confusing part for me.
I’ve never shown interest in any woman, human or shifter.
So why is this one any different?
She also has Ash on edge. He wants to get closer to her and sniff her neck.
Hell, if I let him, he may try to claim her.
I can’t have him doing that, though.
I look out the window.
The sun is just starting to peek over the trees.
I grab a clean shirt and pants from my closet and get dressed.
Before I realize it, I’ve put on cologne and brushed my hair.
Since when do we care what we look and smell like? I ask Ash.
He huffs at me in return.
In other words:
Shut the hell up and just do it.
Got it.
I rush downstairs and grab the keys to the motorcycle. It’ll make maneuvering around town much easier and faster.
Before I can make it out the door, Alex appears at the staircase.
“Going out to look for the girl from last night?”
It’s like he read my mind.
“Yeah. You got a problem with it?”
He folds his arms.
“Not at all, actually. In fact, I’d like to help you.”
What?
Why does he have any interest?
“Why? What’s she to you?”
Annoyance coats my words.
I take a deep breath.
I need to calm down.
“I saw how you reacted to her last night. I want to know more just as much as you. So, let me help you find her.”
It makes sense.
Alex is just trying to help.
Then why the f**k does Ash have his hackles up?
Chill, Ash. He just wants to help. It’s not like she’s ours or anything. Just some random human girl.
He finally calms down, but I can still feel his anger toward me for calling him out on being possessive for no damn reason.
“All right. Thanks, Alex.”
With that, I toss him a helmet, and we both get on our bikes.
Guess we should start at the club? Since we literally know nothing else about her, I mind-link Alex.
Sounds good. Let’s go, he replies.
We crank up the bikes and start heading toward the club from last night.
Hopefully, we can figure out a bit more about our mystery girl.
