Neveah scrolled down to her phone. She was looking at the official website of Casino Royale and searching about the owner of the gambling structure itself. She scrolled through everything she saw. “This Scarlet Yale is sure a beauty.” She commented staring at the photo the casino royale has. “Lemme see. Lucas then leaned into her and peeked through her phone. “Well, yeah she is indeed a beauty. I wonder how old is she?” Both of them squint their eyes as they stared intently at Neveah’s phone. Opposite of them, Damian and Larcade look at them eyes filled with nothing, only emptiness. Both Lucas and Neveah then search for other pictures of Scarlet and can’t get enough of how pretty she was. Damian then twitches his right eye because of annoyance as the two talk loudly about the said woman in Neveah’s phone. “Okay! Enough of that!” He then steals Neveah’s phone that was in the said girl’s hands and hands it to Larcade who gladly accepts it. “No matter how beautiful she can be she’s one of the apostles and she could kill in just one snap of a finger”
Damian’s voice was stern that Neveah and Lucas did not attempt to retort. "What is she, Thanos?" They pouted when Damian gave them a stare. “So how can we steal the elemntia? Casino Royales is far by the largest and most popular in all casinos here. Even tourists themselves come in this country just to visit Royale.” Larcade said to the guy beside him. “And for that reason, we could not steal the elemntia without running with Scarlet,” Larcade showed them Neveah’s phone with the casino in it. “He’s right. We don’t even know where the elemntia is hidden.” Lucas then finishes his statement. All three of them look at Damian who was silent the entire time. “Hello, demon boy? Are you still there?” Neveah lightly kicks Damian’s shin under the table. Damian flinch and glared at the girl. “Shut up I’m thinking.”
“Well, how long is it gonna take?” Neveah then asked with curiosity. Damian can feel his annoyance creeping up on him again. “Well good! now I got two things to think.” Damian replied with a lace of sarcasm. Neveah could not process what he replied but in a matter of seconds, he grabbed Damian’s collar but luckily, Lucas and Larcade were able to stop her. Because of Neveah’s attempt in beating the demon everyone in the restaurant had their eyes on them. Eventually, they were kicked out. All four of them stood in front of the entrance. Suddenly the entrance doorbell made a sound as it open and strut Ashmit. “Oy,” Neveah rolled her eyes and picked out the almost forgotten cat. They went to their parked car. “So, what do we do now? We still have 6 hours until the casino opens.” Lucas said while leaning his elbows on the roof of his car. All of them stop. “Oh!OH!” Neveah then raised her hand that gains everyone’s attention.
“Yes, Neveah?” Larcade said. “How ‘bout we split up and meet…” She paused before spotting a nearby inn. “Meet up there!” Neveah then pointed at it. They follow their eyes in that direction. “ Beelive Inn?” Lucas read the name with confusion. “Is that supposed to read as the words believe in?” Lucas asked his companions while pointing at the inn. Neveah then rolled his eyes at his friend and pushed him. “We have no time to lose. We book a room and meet up exactly an hour before Casino royale’s opening!” She said while pushing Lucas's back to the inn. “Why do you want to split up anyway?” Larcade said following them. “No, This girl is right. We need to observe where are we. Need to learn basic things that would benefit us. We are in Medea City, an unfamiliar environment for us. We need to find something that can gain our plan to steal the elementia, Maybe it could be an exit route or something. “ Damian blurted out. All of them were focusing their attention on the talking guy. “I think it’s okay for us to split up.” He said in a determined voice and all of them nodded.
They successfully get one room with four beds on the inn. They made sure to load their things and parked Lucas’s car safely before splitting up. Lucas went into some shops. Neveah went to the nearby plaza. Damian just wanders around. Larcade who brought Ashmit with him was now walking towards the direction of the casino. If he could just observe and memorize the outside structure of the casino it would be much great help. When Larcade arrived at his expected destination. He stopped with wide eyes on how big the structure was. It was across the road he was in. “Damn, woman’s got money.” He commented while admiring the beautiful designs of the building. ‘It would be more pretty if it was in the nighttime.’ He noticed a cafe not too far from him and decided to visit it. The ambiance in the cafe was in a brown aesthetic. The smell of caffeine hit his nose as both Ashmit and Larcade entered. Suddenly he was stopped by a barista. “Excuse me, sir, I’m sorry but pets aren't allowed here.” She said in a polite manner to Larcade.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” Larcade apologized and chuckled awkwardly. He picked up Ashmit. He was about to go outside when the barista stopped him by touching his shoulders. “But, you could sit down on the table outside.” The barista said with a smile and Larcade returned it. The barista guide them on the way out and picked a nice-looking table for him to sit on. “My guilty pleasure. I just can’t help it your cat is adorable.” She said in a cooing manner while admiring the Maine coon on Larcade’s arms. Larcade chuckled at her reaction. “ He is indeed adorable!” Larcade said while petting the cat after placing him carefully on the chair. “Is he a Maine coon?” The barista said while still admiring Ashmit. “Ah yes,” Larcade said. “Maine coons are truly beautiful. They are the biggest domestic cat breeds in the world!” She said in excitement. “You can pet him if you want,” Larcade offered but the barista pouted. “I wish I could but rules are rules. I can’t have anyone strand of hair visible on me but thanks tho.” She said. “What’s his name?” She said while leaning and crouching down, to admire the Maine coon more.
“Oh, his name is Ashmit,” Larcade said. The barista looked at him weirdly. “That’s a peculiar name.” She commented that made Larcade embarrassed. “I love it! He’s as majestic as he sounds.” Suddenly she stood erect. “I am truly sorry, you are still my customer. Sorry for wasting your time. Can I get your order? Sir? ” The barista said while holding a note and a pen. “Just one cafe latte for me. Grande, please.” Larcade answered in a polite manner. The barista replied to him with a wink and a click of her tongue indicating that she had successfully written it down. Larcade took a seat and look at the casino again.
Suddenly, he saw familiar figures walking outside the main entrance. He quickly took a newspaper that was on the next table and hid himself. He saw Loki with an unfamiliar man with silver hair walking out. The silver-haired man was slinging his arms onto Loki who had an annoyed expression. Larcade wonder why and how he was there. He secretly took a picture but quickly hid his phone when he noticed Loki look in his direction. He sighed in releif that Loki dismissed it. He sent the photo to Lucas and Neveah and hoping that they will bump to Damian to inform him.
“Sir?” A voice called out to him that made him jump. He quickly regained his composure, fearing that Loki and the silver-haired man were still there but sighed in relief when they were already gone. “Sorry.” He said awkwardly. The barista paid it no mind and hand him his order. “I had to deliver it to you personally, I forgot to get your name.” The barista said while having a guilty expression. “No, it’s okay. I do not mind. My name is Larcade.” He said while offering his hand. The barista stared at it before chuckling.
“Natasha.”
