Chapter 6

Pulling up outside the house the kids rush out and eagerly wait for me to unlock the door. Once it was unlocked they rush inside and to the back.

Following them I walk past Josiahs room and he was cleaning up and then I looked in Alyssas room and she was doing the same thing.

"Oh so when I ask y'all ass to clean up I get so much back talk and then soon as y'all mama come y'all try to straighten up". I said causing them to laugh.

"We want to show her our room". They said just as the door bell rang.

"f**k y'all mama". I mumbled to myself before walking to the door unlocking it.

Moving to the side I let her come in before closing the door.

"They in the back". I said as I locked the door.

Following behind her she walks in Josiahs room first.

"Mama look at my medals I won". He said pointing to the shelf where he kept all his medals.

"And look I made a box for all the letters you sent us". He said pulling the box from under the bed and she looked over and gave me a confused look causing me to give her a look back.

"That's really sweet of you". She said giving him a smile.

"Thanks for the game controller you got me I've been begging dad to get it for weeks". He said hugging her just as Alyssa came in.

"Okay mama come look at my room I have your letters all on my wall". She said grabbing her hand dragging her to her room with Josiah behind them.

Walking off to the living room I cut the tv on and take off my shoes and get comfortable.

~3 hours later~

Maranda comes walking to the front taking a seat on the other couch looking at me as I looked at the tv.

"They're sleep". She said as I nod but don't say anything.

"Thank you". She said causing me to look over and mug her.

"Don't thank me I didn't do this s**t for you I did it for them". I said before looking over at the tv.

"I really needed this for my peace of mind". She said making me look over at her.

"So you only did this for your peace of mind you didn't do this cause you really wanted to meet them". I ask and she looks down letting me know that what I was saying was true.

"You really blowing me right now". I said rubbing my hand down my face.

"I couldn't take care of them". She said looking at me with sad eyes.

"Maranda you made more than enough money you just didn't try". I said staring at her as she looked at the ground.

"And then you only left them with one diaper and some pacifiers that was selfish Maranda cause you had the money you just didn't want to spend it on them". I said trying to keep my voice down cause I felt myself about to explode.

"I get it okay I'm here now". She said causing me to shake my head.

"Look you can come see them whenever you want but I want you out of my crib right now". I said standing up and she was still sitting there.

"You can't hear get the f**k out". I said looking at her like she was crazy.

She got up walking out and once she was standing outside the door she turned to talk to me before I closed the door in her face.

Had it not been for my kids I would have cussed her ass out...
