Of course, I made it crystal clear that I wasn’t backing down, and soon, I would have everything I’ve ever wanted in the palm of my hands because I never… ever lose.
“Your meeting with the shareholders starts in five minutes, Miss Cauthon,” Samantha, my assistant announced, tearing me away from my thoughts.
“Right, thank you.”
As soon as she smiled politely and left, I made my way out of the office, and towards the meeting venue. The boardroom was already half full when I walked in.
