Don’t rush things, Carly told herself.
She sat quietly waiting for Jolene to regain her composure. Through the open front door, she could see Lyle and Brian rearranging boxes in the back of the pickup truck. She knew it would be just few moments before her partner finished disposing of the erstwhile boyfriend, but she thought Lyle would probably delay his return to the living room.
