Katie pov: He beat me again am currently sprawled out on the floor. Little whimpers leave my mouth as I try to stand up. " you useless brat I want this floor cleaned up before I beat you again!!" he demanded I just nodded my head too weak and scared to reply as I hung my head too frightened to look up in fear of a slap. It has not always been this way when I was little and mum was around we use to go camping and roast marshmallows and tell scary stories around the campfire. Me and dad use to be inseparable ' thick as thieves ' mum use to say. I miss those carefree days.. Now at 19 I work as a part time maid to earn enough money to support me and dad but I only get half of the money as am forced to give the rest to Glen my dad for his " expenses " . I look at the time and realise am half an hour late to my job because of glen beating me up ughh I hate life as I rush to the bus stop and get on the bus. By the time I get there am already an hour late so I go around the back. Just as I enter through the back door Kevin sees me and grabs me by the upper arm and drags me to our bosses office. I scurry out of there like the place was on fire and ran out the front door and down to the little park I don't stop till I reach my secluded little area in the wooded parts. I sunk down against the tree as I cried and cried about what just happened.
