My Royal Dilemma

My name is Savanna Porter, I'm seventeen years old but ill be eighteen in five months. I consider myself a normal teenage girl although nothing about my life is normal. See I'm a shifter, of the werewolf kind and amongst werewolves, there is a hierarchy. In my pack the "Clair de Lune" which translates to moonlight in French, We have at the top our Alpha and Luna, The Beta, The gamma, and then everyone else. This is the basic structure for every pack. although every pack is led by the Alpha, We answer to the Royal pack and the council. Now that that's out of the way. I seriously hate mornings, I thought to myself as I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom only to find it dirty, wet, and messy. That's what I get for being the only girl in the house out of four kids . My looks are pretty average although I have Jet black hair with two strands of silver hair, 5'4 , bright emerald eyes, and fairly pale skin. puffy lips and eyes, I'm pretty curvey for someone my age. Academically I'm a nerd, I love school, I reach and I'm taking AP courses at my school, I can speak 7 different languages. Physically and strong, I mean being the Beta's daughter comes with its perks. "le petit déjeuner est prêt" ( breakfast is ready) i heard my mom shout. My mom is a petit french woman 4'1 black hair and hazel eyes, she and my dad found each other when my dad went to visit a pack in Europe. . My school is not far from my house only about twenty minutes plus-minus depending on my mood that day. I had never been so relieved in my life The school day went on as normal but I could not shake the feeling that something was going to happen, déesse my wolf kept pacing and it was so unlike her to be anxious. instantly I thought it might be my mate, and that thought terrified me cause I did not want a mate. werewolf shifter terminology and anatomy are complicated, Higher ranking wolves usually don't have mates so they take chosen mates but normal wolves have fated mates. Óff-spring from a pair of higher wolves who are mates are naturally stronger and smarter. It's not just the kids but the pair themselves become stronger. having an equally qualified mate has similar benefits but not to the extent a mate bond has. When I got to the pack, Alpha Damien called for a Pack meeting with all the young wolves, Alpha Damien was Matt's older, hotter, and sexier brother, a whole 6'7 snack of wet dreams and desire, It's a pity he had already found his mate right when he turned 18, on average wolves go two years searching for their mates. Ana looked at me with her bright smile and puppy eyes " I cant believe that your going to the Royal pack , only 3 people were chosen and your one of them, you will be leaving in 6t months so we still have time together" Looking at my bestfriend who kept on babbling on and on about me being chosen and everything that i had to prepare for, i could not help but get this strange feeling of longing and desire, but for what. I cant help but feel that this opportunity will be more than i can handle.
