"Julien…" I mutter to myself. His face is so perfect, in my dreams I don't know if it's the overall attraction I feel for this man or the terror that comes later, all of the blood and gore. I shudder. He's frightening but yet astounding, his bright blue eyes bore right through me, brown shaggy hair, and chiseled body that looks like a Greek statue. The scars that cover his body tell his tale. Blood that covers his body tells me to run but I'm implanted, rooted to the ground. My mind links with his, "Come to me." A deep husky voice calls to me. My feet follow, my head keeps screaming, 'RUN!' The man bellows a deep feral growl and his body starts to morph, I hear bones breaking, changing into something I've never seen before. The noise petrifies me and I stop, not wanting to move any closer. This agitates the beast and he starts to come closer, step after step. Every step he takes I match his in reverse. My mind tells me to not look away but my body wants to flee from this nightmare, to run until I can't anymore. I see this beast that was a beautiful man, blood dripping out of his canine mouth, deep blue eyes, eyes of a wolf, blood covers his entire body as I peel my eyes from his appearance. He lurches forward ready to attack and I scream! I scream a name of a man I never knew, a name I've always known. Julien.

chapter 1 -Octavia
Jul.. Julien… JULIEN!! My eyes thrust open as I shoot out of bed. My breathing now labored as I remember the dream. The nightmare is what I should call it, but I can't. His face haunts me, the creature disturbing. I try to shake the dream away, the one I've had almost every night for the past two months. I shift in my bed trying to fall back asleep as the moonlight streams in through my curtains. The clock on my wall tells my secrets, it's only 2:30 in the morning. I sigh and sit up knowing that I won't be able to fall back to sleep. I get out of bed and take a shower, my heart is still beating ferociously as it takes hours to calm it. The dreams are sometimes different but yet always the same. "Julien…" I muttered to myself. His face is so perfect, in my dreams I don't know if it's the overall attraction I feel for this man or the terror that comes later, all of the blood and gore. I shudder. I shudder as I come back to reality, stepping out of the shower I take a deep sigh. I wipe the condensation off the mirror. I glimpse at the bags under my full brown eyes, they are starting to become a daily fashion statement, my pasty white pale skin being a deep comparison. My mother is starting to get worried, wanting me to go to a therapist. My overall anxiety is starting to get worse even though I don't want to go to one, I might need to. as I get ready for the day I kill some time doing some much needed homework. My birthday is in a month's time, March 26. It's also my last year of highschool, and I couldn't be more excited. My alarm starts to buzz on my phone, it's five am. I would usually take a shower and get ready but since I'm already ready I decide to go downstairs and make breakfast for the family. I'm downstairs cooking some eggs and bacon and my little sister comes in the kitchen ready for school. She grabs the fridge door and pours some orange juice in two cups and hands me one. "Good morning Octavia," my baby sister Lydia says. My sister and I look nothing alike, deep brown curly hair, with beautiful mixed skin and aquamarine eyes. Every boy in her first grade class is in love with her. I smile at her and gladly take the cup of orange juice. "Sit down sissy, breakfast should be done soon." Almost on que mom and dad come down the steps. "Ah Octavia, thank you honey for making us breakfast that's very sweet of you." My mother is a reincarnated goddess, I swear, beautiful onyx skin, buzzed hair and big silver hoops accentuating her deep neckline. My father on the other hand looks like your average Joe. Brown hair, brown eyes, nothing to pick himself out of the crowd. His heart is what makes him special, he is the nicest person I have ever met. I remember the day that they took me from the orphanage. I was five years old and I was sitting in a large white room with a table and three chairs. They both came in and introduced themselves. A beautiful lady crouches down next me, "hi honey my name is Cassandra, and this man," she points over at the man next to her, motioning him to crouch next to her, "his name is Tom." I look between both of them and say, "pretty lady." Her eyes go wide and she lets out a small laugh. Tom lets out a low chuckle and crouches on the other side of my chair, "she is a beautiful lady isn't she little dove." He looks over at Cassandra with love pouring out of his eyes. Even at the age of five I could see the clear devotion the two had for each other. I was so happy when they took me in. My life might of bhave been very different if it wasn't for those two. "Cough, cough. Octavia the bacon." Tom lets out a chuckle and my eyes go wide realizing I'm starting to burn the bacon. "Oh s**t!" I say and I'm trying to hurry and get the bacon and eggs off the stove. "Ohhh she said s**t!" My little sister repeated. My mom chimes in, "Lydia, you know better, grown words are for grown ups." I put the food on everyone's plates as my sister and my mom start talking about her assignments, not really paying attention I realize the time. "I got to go because the bus is coming." I give my sister a kiss on the head and grab my bag and say goodbye to everyone.
