CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE DECEMBER 18, 1960 School let out for Christmas on Friday. Of course, I wasn’t there. Today is Sunday, and I haven’t done much since last Monday except walk around trying real hard not to sleep so the dreams don’t come. I check the post office every day to see if the insurance company sent my parents’ beneficiary check. Still no sign of it, which is frustrating. This is an exceptionally boring town to be killing time in. Another monument ramming is long overdue if you ask me. I did go to Greencastle Hospital a few times to see Denise, but she was sleeping.
