There are outdoor activities organized by the company this Friday, this time it is a barbecue. They do this to try and create bonds and friendships between employees. Olivia was the one who ran errands again, and everyone was happy to use her because they knew that she wouldn't say no. It was quite funny to the employees to see her so busy because of them when she should be with everyone enjoying her time there.

“Olivia, try this!” An employee put a golden chicken wing up to her mouth. Olivia was flattered they wanted to share with her. Then she took a careful bite, suddenly her face showed dislike and then had to spit it out twice to get the taste out of her mouth.

“You are too funny!” one employee said to Olivia.

Over the past few days, people have been believing they understand Olivia’s character. Although her work ability is very good, she is a simple girl who has finished college, entered into society and she doesn't get angry after she gets teased by other employees. Anyone could see it was their way of bullying her. After helping everyone by collecting their garbage, Olivia finally sat down and was immediately asked a question by Hannah.

“Can you please come with me to the bathrooms? I do not want to go alone.”

“Of course,” Olivia agreed.

The bathroom was outdoors so naturally it's not so clean. Hannah frowned and had to deal with the strange smell the bathroom had. When she was done in the stall she came out to the sinks to reapply her makeup. She looked at Olivia and couldn't help but ask,

“Olivia, what do you think of him?”

“Who?” Olivia didn't know who she was referring to.

Hannah lifted her chin and motioned towards the area where Matthew was standing.

“Him, you know Mr. Wonderfly good looking.”

Inquisitive, Olivia glanced out of the restrooms in that direction. She looks back at Hannah when she sees that it was Matthew that Hannah was talking about and whispers, “Nothing good.”

Hannah sucked her teeth at Olivia then carefully reapplied her lipstick.

“You're such a Liar, He is such a good man, with a great job. Are you really not interested in him at all?”

“Why should I be interested in him because he is good at his job?” Olivia rarely raised her voice. Remembering that night with Matthew, and all of her emotions that had been suppressed in her heart came rushing back.

Hannah paused, then slowly finished fixing her lipstick and smiled back at Olivia.

“Well I was just kidding, don't be so touchy. Let's go back to the BBQ now.”

Knowing how she just responded to Hannahs question seemed a little excessive to Hannah. Olivia smiled at her, a little sad by her reaction. She apologized and then left the bathroom first.

Hannah looked at Olivia’s back, then left the bathroom and glanced towards Matthew. She smiled coldly and then followed behind Olivia. When they got back to the BBQ, the barbecue sauce was almost gone, and everyone wanted more. Olivia naturally became everyone's runner. However one male employee couldn't stand it this time. He stood up and wanted to go with her, and Olivia agreed. Matthew looked at the backs of Olivia and the male employee leaving together and frowned. The male employee was Logan. He is a senior at the company. He is in his thirties, and is of medium build and is very good looking. Him and Olivia talked and laughed most of the way to get the BBQ sauce.

“Olivia, you are so beautiful. Do you by chance have a boyfriend?” Logan asked tentatively, turning to look at Olivia’s beautiful face.

“Not yet, I don't think about getting a boyfriend. I want to make sure I have a secure job, and that I am good at my job as well. I am just too busy to have a boyfriend right now ya know?”

While speaking Olivia suddenly felt Logan stretch out his arm and put it around her waist. Then he murmured in her ear: “So pure… You're still a virgin right?”

Out of nowhere Logan became very forceful. He grabbed hold of Olivia. She struggled in his arms to get away.

“Let go! Let go of me! If you don't let go I will scream!”

“Go ahead and yell. I worked at IBM for so many years. You yell and others will look this way and see us. Who do you think will lose their job? You or me? Logan gave Olivia an evil smile. He believes that the women who struggle are just trying to refuse. And Logan does not take no for an answer.

Today's women with long legs and good looks, will sleep around with anyone in the company to get promotions. There was a woman a few days ago that acted just the same as Olivia at first. Then finally gave into what Logan wanted from her. s*x. Thinking of this, Logan's hand on Olivia's waist began to get tighter. Despite her struggle, Logan pushed her up against the rocks, blowing in her ear trying to turn her on.

“I have always respected the wishes of women very much. But I can tell that this is what you want. So how about you just say yes to my needs, and I will go and rent us a house to have s*x in.” Logan said to Olivia.

“Absolutely not! I respect you as a predecessor and hope you have a little more self-respect then that! Think about your family for crying out loud!”

Olivia felt sick, her stomach churned, and she pressed her hands against his check to try and push him away.

Hearing her deny him, Logan's facial expression became very mean. His tone also became more mean.

”Don't give me that look! It is a blessing that I have interest in you. I advise you to be obedient otherwise…. Ahhhhhh!”

*BANG*

It was the sound of a punch being thrown and coming in contact with Logan's face. Logan fell down in front of Olivia, lying on the ground and whining loudly. Rose looked up and saw that it was actually… Matthew.

Olivia watched Matthew take off his coat. He placed it around her shoulder. The warmth from his jacket enveloped her and she burst into tears instantly.

Matthew’s hard facial lines softened a little and he walked Olivia to his car. Leaving Logan whining on the ground behind them. Matthew opened the passenger door of his car for Olivia and then closed it after she got in. Then he walked around the car and got in the driver seat.

“Where do you want to go? I will take you wherever.” Matthew asked her.

Olivia curled up in the seat, still horrified about what just happened, hesitated for a moment and then whispered, “I want to go home.”

Matthew nodded, and Olivia gave him her address. They took off without giving a second thought to any of the employees that were still at the BBQ.

Outside of Olivia’s home, Matthew watched her get out of the car. He rolled his window down and said, “I will help you talk with the supervisor about what happened today, if you would like me to.”

Olivia’s eyes started to tear up again. She looks at Matthew through the window and bites her lip. Then she said “Please don't say anything to anyone about what happened at the BBQ. It wasn't easy for her to find this kind of job. She doesn't want to quit because of Logan, and she also doesn't want to hear the rumors that will arise once everyone knows.

Matthew stared at her and nodded slowly. He didn't want to just let it go. He wanted Logan to pay for his mistakes. But he saw how upset Olivia was and didn't want to upset her any further. So he agreed to what she wanted. After a quick thank you, Olivia ran towards her apartment.

“He…. seems to be different than I thought.” Olivia thought to herself as she went into the apartment building.

The next day at work, Logan's face was bruised and everyone was asking him what happened. He didn't answer them, then when no one was looking, he looked straight at Olive with his best “death stare.” Olivia felt nauseated by Logan, and irritated by the looks he was giving her. She ignored him and carried on the day’s work as usual. Like nothing happened at the BBQ.

“Everything is safe” She thought. However when she submitted the work plan to Logan, he sneered and threw it back at her.

“What the hell is this?You want me to give this crap to the supervisor? You want me to lose my job? Go back and make it better! NOW!”

Olivia proofread that plan many times, and found no mistakes. She also now knew that Logan was doing this to her because of yesterday. She made sure everything was correct, but somehow Logan found fault. Olivia felt wronged and angry. Matthew on the other side of the office also encountered the same situation with Logan. He looked coldly at Matthew with his head held high. Then turned and walked away from him. Logan thought he had won. Later on that day, the supervisor came into Logan's office and yelled at him. He also asked Olivia and Matthew to confront Logan in front of him. After Agreeing and Admitting his mistakes, the supervisor left Logan's office.

Logan walked back up to Matthew and Olivia and warned them in a low voice and a cruel tone: “You told on me? You two remember who I am. I will make your work life here hell now!”

Matthew got closer to Logan almost nose to nose, his eyes were sharp, and his tone was just as cruel as his.

“I dare you to try and do anything.”

Matthews' strong and overbearing aura not only made Logan in front of him, was too stunned to say anything else, but even Olivia turned her head from them.

“What did Matthew mean by what he said to Logan?” Olivia thought. Before Olivia had any chance to say anything at all, Matthew took her by the hand away from Logan’s reach.

Looking at the backs of Olivia and Matthew, Logan felt hatred in his heart.

“Wow, way to go Olivia! Pretending to be a virgin in front of me. But you turn around and have s*x with Matthew right? Because he has money right? Neither of you can do anything to get rid of me. I will stay in the company for many years!” Logan shouted out to Olivia as she walked away.

Feeling the warmth of Matthew’s hand, Olivia blushed a little. When Matthew said he would look out for me, this must be what he meant. Near their office areas, Olivia broke away a little too hard and whispered “Thank you.” When Matthew felt Olivia breakaway he became a little irritable and didn't know why. He looked out at Olivia heading to her office and said under his breath: “Beautiful woman, why are you such a good person? You can't tell good from bad… I will always protect you.”

Originally Matthew wanted to tell everyone that Olivia already had a boyfriend, so that the employees who act on their thoughts and impulses like Logan did wouldn't. But men like him would have the same actions whether she had or didn't have a boyfriend. Olivia, who stayed in her office, looked blankly. She didn't know how she provoked Logan. She sat there for a moment and then returned to doing her work. She didn't notice that Hannah was giving her such a hateful look. Hannah’s red manicure fingers pinched into the meat of Olivia’s arm. She was red with anger and wanted Olivia to feel some sort of pain.

“I don't care what you have to say. Olivia you are really good and lying and playing pretend with me.” Hannah said and then walked away from Olivia. Over the next few days, Olivia found that her popularity at work dwindled. She used to have employees greet her with smiles, but now they all ignore her. Because they don't know what happened. She could only ignore their coldness and continue her work.

When Olivia went to the break room to pick up the water for noon, Hannah was in there spreading more lies about Olivia. She stayed on the outside of the room, to hear what Hannah was saying.

Hannah said with a sharp tongue to another employee “Well isn't it strange? Look at Olivia. She is very eager to please all the men at this company. At first she pretends to be a real darling girl. But favors all the male employees here.”

Another female voice added “ I cant believe Olivia looks so pure, and innocent, but yet her private life is so messy.”

“That is just what she wants everyone to believe. That she is pure. But in this society today, everyone could look at her and see that she really isn't all pure. She is sleeping with whomever she needs to to be promoted now.” Hannah added.

Not being able to listen to Hannah lying about her to other employees, Olivia couldn't help but come out and show herself to them and refute her wrong. Olivia questioned Hannah and she was saying, full of anger.
