Chapter 12
Josh Heid Thompson
Adjusting the duvet, Ezerette groaned in annoyance as he kept tugging the duvet around him, but failed to do so as it tangled around his feet. I watched him in amusement as he tried and tried until he grew tired and laid back on the bed. He was using the guest bedroom. Ezerette was pretty pissed about the idea of him sleeping in this house.
One thing I noticed when he got inside the house was, he felt the negative vibe going around the house. He felt it. That was one of the reasons why I had brought him here, to put smiles and rainbows in this place. And so far, he had done a good job about it.
I turned on the A/C for him and when I looked at him, he was sprawled on the bed, snoring lightly as he slept peacefully. I walked slowly, careful not to make a noise. His chest was heaving up and down slightly.
I brushed the bangs off of his face and took my hand back, placing it on my side. I was acting strange.
Grinning as an idea popped up into my mind, I grabbed his cellphone on the nightstand. I opened the camera application and I kissed his forehead and took a photo of it. Smiling, I opened his f*******: application and posted it, tagging myself. I put a caption: my baby is sleeping peacefully. do not want to bother him tho. so a kiss on the forehead would do.
Mere seconds later, the phone kept ringing and I put it on silent mode as the people kept commenting on the recently uploaded photo of I kissing Ezerette's forehead. This was just for a show. I knew Mr. Westborrow was watching my every move, but so far, luck was on my side. Giving him a glance, I smiled at him. Then a yawn escaped my lips, my body getting tired because it had been a full of work day, so I decided to go back in my room. I took off my shirt and also my pants, leaving myself in a boxer and I dived into the soft and bouncy mattress and I felt the unconsciousness got a hold of me and soon, I was falling asleep.

The alarm rang and rang until it was thrown by me. It got broken and I groaned. Now, I needed to replace it again. The sunlight streamed through the window and I much gave a glance to the clock hanging by the wall. Although I had set an alarm, it didn't mean I knew what time I had set it. 6:30 in the morning.
Getting up, I stretched my body and I heard a pop and grinned in satisfaction. This was the first time I had slept fine. Walking inside the bathroom, I turned on the faucet and splashed myself to make me fully awake. Then I brushed my teeth.
As soon as I was done brushing my teeth, I combed my hair with my fingers, making it messier than it had been. I decided that I should callout to Meg, the head cook, and let her prepare the best breakfasts ever.
When I got down, as usual, the smell of breakfasts invaded my nostril. Meg always knew what to cook for breakfast. I headed to the kitchen, where I greeted her. She said good morning to me and I said it back.
Meg was preparing scrambled eggs and some bread, also bacon. I had told Meg that I had a visitor and that she should prepare something extravagant for Ezerette. She obliged and did as what she was told. She began to get the ingredients from every cabinet that could be seen around the kitchen area. Frowning, I heard the doorbell rang and took a look outside.
My eyes widen and my heart beat rapidly against my chest. They were here. Oh f**k.
Mom, Dad, and Yumi were standing on the front porch and I had told Meg to tell Mom, Dad and Yumi that I was still sleeping. She looked up at me in confusion but nodded anyways. I ran to the guest room, where Ezerette had been sleeping. When I got there, I saw Ezerette waking up and aware of my presence. He narrowed his eyes at me. Although he looked adorable because of his hair bed, I pushed him back on the bed.
He groaned in annoyance. He gave me a look of confusion when I laid beside him. Pursing my lips, I took off his white shirt and his eyes widen and tried to protest but I gave him an icy glare, which made him stop immediately. I threw it somewhere on the floor and we both laid back.
"Shut up and pretend to sleep, okay?" I said to him. He nodded hesitantly, and I knew, base from his expression, that he wanted to know what was going on. "I'll tell you later. Now close your eyes." He did what he was told.
Making it more real, I put Ezerette's head on my bare chest and grabbed his leg and draped it over my torso. I put his arm over my stomach. He groaned but did not protest. I took off the duvet and I encircled my arm around his waist, pushing him into me.
Soon enough, I heard footsteps echoing around the room. It was light, and I knew it was Mom. I shut my eyes and enjoyed the warmth of Ezerette's body. He was providing me something I didn't know. Absentmindedly, a smile tugged on my lips. Not because of the situation we were in right now, but because of Ezerette.
There was some unknown feeling tugging at my heart, and it was a positive one. I felt Ezerette snuggled more to me, hugging me tight then I heard his light snores. He was sleeping again. I let out a chuckle and kissed his forehead. Frowning, I shouldn't have done it. When the door was pulled open, I immediately shut my eyes.
I heard a gasp and soon, Yumi was speaking.
"I told you, Mom." Yumi said. "Josh is in love with the guy. No need to be suspicious, Mom."
A pause. Silence.
"God, what's this?" Mom spoke again. She was whispering but her tone was harsh. "Is your brother crazy? Has he lost his mind? You know, marriage has been set for him to a girl. Shana Humthreys, daughter of the owner of Humtrinity Corporation. And he's already married to a guy. Unbelievable."
"Mom," Yumi protested. "Leave him and his husband alone. They are in love with each other and stop meddling. You can't stop him. You know he's stubborn. The way you wanted him to be."
I felt proud of Yumi. She was the goody-two shoes in our family, but her defending me, I felt happy that she was my sister. They left the room, closing the door lightly as to not wake us up. The moment the door closed, I opened my eyes and looked at the sleeping figure of Ezerette. Chuckling, I stayed there, my arm still encircled around his waist, keeping him for awhile.
Ezerette spooned closer to me, burying his face in the crook of my neck and my breath hitched as he fanned my neck with his slow breathing. His skin on mine felt hot as his chest made contact with mine. I watched him sleep, thinking how could someone affect me this way. I had yet to figure it out.
Much to my disappointment, I had to go downstairs and greet Mom and Dad. I took ahold of Ezerette's hand and placed it softly on the bed. I removed his leg from my torso and carefully removed my arm away from his waist. Soon enough, I crept back go my room and chose some clothing to wear.
When I was done, I got downstairs and I was greeted with my mom arching a brow at me. I greeted Mom and Dad by waving a hand at them. Dad frowned at me, probably not liking the idea of I had married a guy. Fake.
"You have a lot of explaining to do, young man." Mom said to me as she motioned for me to go follow her. Yumi watched me helplessly and I just gave her a smile. When we got to the kitchen, Meg placed a couple of foods on the table and my mouth watered at the heavenly sight.
Dad took a seat beside Mom and Yumi beside me. The air was full of tension and one had yet to open a mouth and speak. Ignoring them, I shoved a bread with scrambled egg inside my mouth and I moaned.
Tasty.
"Tell me about him, son." Dad asked me and I stopped eating.
Dad raised his brow at me. I watched him in confusion. "What? I just wanted to know the history of you and the guy you're married with."
"Oh we fell in love in a hopeless place," I said and continued to eat. Yumi snickered. It was one of her favorite songs and I used it just to piss Dad off. But surprisingly, he did not get angry. Or even raise a voice.
"Always knew you'd end up this way," he said.
Yumi choked on her food and Mom asked her if she was okay. And me, I had spewed the bread on my plate and Mom grimaced at me. Yumi, Mom, and I watched Dad, waiting for him to elaborate.
"What?" He said, looking back at us. "He didn't bring any woman in the house. He hasn't been in a relationship for, like, decades. He isn't interested at... balloons but rather a pole."
"Dad!" I shouted, glaring at him. How could he say those things to me?
Yumi laughed hard, loud enough to make me laugh, too. Dad, as usual, was being an asshole. Me, ending up being a gay? Over my dead body, I thought.
Sleepily, Ezerette entered the kitchen, brushing the sleepiness off of his eyes and then his eyes widen as he stared at us, mouth agape. Yumi basically ran at him and knocked the hell out of Ezerette by hugging him tight. I gripped the fork, wanting to throw it at Yumi for being such a flirty girl.
I introduced Ezerette to my parents and vice versa. When he took a seat beside me, he was fidgeting, probably nervous because of the presence of my parents. My parents had that aura around them. It made people nervous and scared.
Holding his hand, he seemed to calm down and I told him to eat. Mom was staring suspiciously at Ezerette and he squirmed. Dad chuckled at Ezerette and Ezerette gulped, giving a nervous smile to Dad's direction. As usual, Yumi threw a lot of questions at Ezerette.
She even showed a picture of us sleeping together and Ezerette blushed. I resisted the urge to pinch his now a deep crimson red cheeks. Ezerette ate slowly, glancing at my parents' direction.
We needed to do something to make Mom believe that we're in love with each other. Or else, she'd do something that might not be good for me. She was always like that; controlling. But I wouldn't let her.
With that in mind, I kissed Ezerette's cheek and his face flushed.
