Sealed with a contract

Chapter 5

JEANETTE'S POV

The first time he told me about his plan, I felt like I had heard the craziest word in my life and I was truly pissed off.

I walked out of the car, feeling like I'd made a terrible mistake of telling him my problem and I kept thinking of ways to cut him off my life.

Well... I thought it would end because of the rude way I spoke to him but surprisingly, he was a thick skin~ tsk!

He blatantly refused to leave!

He continued to disturb me for a week, two weeks, and one day, I was in my room alone, thinking about what to do with my broken heart when a call entered my phone~

Damn! It was a call from Cole!

He had been bragging to me about his new romantic girlfriend these days and it was seriously getting on my nerves but I continued to keep quiet about it because I wasn't the type to chase clout with a Motherf**ker like him.

"I need to pay him back. I'm going to meet a man better than him in all aspects!" I vowed to myself as I watched the call end.

Thinking about how to bring my life back to the way it was before, I remembered the offer Austin made to me and I sighed.

It would only be for two years as he requested...

"Austin is in a different level away from Cole. In terms of looks, status, intelligence, and everything... He is better than Cole and he might be a better choice, right?"

Being beside someone like Austin will make it look like I gained the best from everything that happened between Cole and me and I decided not to waste that opportunity.

It wasn't like I could ever fall in love again though because my heart had been ripped and I knew that but Austin's proposal was a contractual marriage that would never entail love~

He came to me the next day and as I planned, I gave him a positive reply and I was pleased to see the big smile on his face.

"Whooa! Great!" He replied excitedly and I smiled.

"So, when are we starting?" I asked him. I couldn't wait to start posting about him on my status to make Cole jealous! F**k! I wanted to start that already.

Well... I knew that was childish though but I couldn't help it~

"How about we set some rules first? We can't afford to offend each other now, can we?" He asked and I crossed my arm.

"You should plan that... I don't have the time." I replied coldly and he smiled. He gave me his card and left.

For a week, we continued to discuss on the phone and we finally settled the rules, also signing the contract too.

He told me everything about himself for the success of my first meeting with his parents and I told him everything about me too.

Luckily for us, my parents accepted our relationship and they were even happy that I was able to move on instead of crying and being depressed over what happened to me.

"My parents agreed and my dad has chosen a wedding date for us. He seems to like you a lot." Austin told me days after we went to visit his parents.

As he said, The wedding date was chosen and the preparation started all over again... My second wedding preparation in a few weeks!

My mum and I went wedding shopping, we got a lot of things and I could see the happiness in her eyes which made my heart ache for deceiving her.

Throughout the weeks that I used in preparing for the grand wedding, I tried my best to run into Cole "accidentally" but it never worked and it made me feel a bit down.

The wedding preparation continued, being grander than my first wedding, It was simply every woman's dream but I wasn't so excited about it and Austin was exactly like me too.

The day finally came and as expected, many people from different parts of the world came and it was the biggest wedding in town. It was so big that it was the talk of the town but what was saddening was that the person I expected to see wasn't in attendance at all!

He has been in hiding for the past weeks and I wondered why. He no longer call to brag about his girlfriend, he no longer messaged to tell me how happy he was to leave me. What was going on?

"Do you, Jeanette Jones accept Austin Brad as your husband, in wealth, in sickness, and good health till death do you apart?" The priest asked and I sighed.

I hated to lie to the world like this!

"Yes, I do," I replied softly.

The same question was asked Austin and he accepted too and the wedding proceeded.

We exchanged rings and it was time for a couple kissing~~ Tsk!

He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to himself. He looked straight into my eyes as if I was the most beautiful thing on earth and my heart jolted~ "Was he always this captivating?" I asked myself as I was getting hypnotized by his gaze.

His crystal blue eyes were the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen and it was completely mesmerizing.

He moved closer to me... We were so close that we could feel each other's feelings... His racing heart became a melody to my ears and his wooden fragrance turned my body hot.

My eyes went from his beautiful eyes down to his pink lips which I could already imagine how succulent it would be even without touching it yet and slowly, I closed my eyes.

Heck! I could not wait to feel his lips on mine!

I felt him move closer and closer to me and finally, A soft warm feeling ran through my vain, electrifying every cell in my body and the feeling only got stronger as I drowned myself in my first kiss with Austin.

The man I would be spending a few years of my life with!
