The blue moon Luna

Let me introduce myself.. my name is Shayla Cullens I am 16 years old and live in a Hertfordshire England in a relatively middle sized pack. Yeap i am a werewolf. My dad and mum are the Alpha and Luna of our pack ‘the crescent blue moon pack’. My dads name is Rocco and my mum is called Ava but everyone has to call them Alpha and Luna. I also have a younger sister she is 15 called Skylar. We both attend secondary school for werewolves and we both love it there. My sister is more popular than me but we do ok and have no issues probably because we are the Alphas children. My parents didn’t have any boys therefore meaning our family don’t have any ‘technical heirs’ to becoming Alpha. The Elders, the wise and wonderful people who help with the running of the pack and make sure all is going well so we don’t fall or be wiped out are adamant we have to have a Alpha for the pack. This is not fair as me and Skylar know how to run a pack we have been brought with it and know how it all works daily, we train, we attend meetings (sitting at the back), and dad explains all about things happening. But NO the elders see we need a Alpha and now are seeking to find a replacement Alpha, witching the next 3 years my dad will the to step down as Alpha as he will be classed as “too old”. You probably wondering why we don’t stay an marry and they become Alpha, because in our world, laws and traditions we as the women find our fated mate and then we move to their pack, no man comes to the woman’s pack and lives. So now this brings me to my point. I don’t want to step down all my rights I like my house, my luxury and my life for it to ripped away because we are not boys and chucked back down like we are nothing after my mum and dad helped bring this pack up to me more stable… they think they can rip that away without a fight they are mistaken… very mistaken I am going to change this once and for all… I’m standing up for us women. This going to be one of the biggest challenges ever happened in history and changing history for the best. This could go two ways it could work out wonderful and we all live happy every after, of I could end up dead along with my family for going against the werewolf code. I have spoke with Skylar about this and she agrees as she likes her life but yet part of her wants to find her mate and settle down… she has grown up to me the hopeless romantic, reading all the romantic books about being wined and dined and swept off her feet by Prince Charming. By a man we all want but never find, however the only difference is being a werewolf when you find your mate you want them and only them and worship them, it has been known that some don’t treat their mate like this and like I said only some and this is rare. Skylar been with her boyfriend for a year now and she thinks he is her fated mate but she won’t know till she 17/18 we can find our mates at 17 if the bond is strong but normally 18 when we are coming of age. My 17th birthday is in 6 weeks I’m happy an nervous at the same time as I’m worried I will find my mate and all my plans will be ruined. However we have already met our wolves as that happens at 13, well on our 13th birthday my wold is love she is a silver grey with deep navy blue eyes, I’m biased I know. My parents are aware of my plans and my mum is against it completely as she worried that if we go against the Elders they will have us all killed straight away, she would rather we went an lived with her sister and Purple dunes, her niece there is married to their new Alpha Riley, his 19 and was given Alpha title from his dad and because he found his fated mate as apparently having a mate makes you a stronger Alpha and Luna. My dad has slowly come around to the idea, I think he would like to stay as Alpha until he died but the Elders won’t allow Alphas older than 40, 42 at a push and my dad is already 35 yeah my mum and dad didn’t wait around in having me and my sister… like i said the mated bond is strong. My dad is helping me to train more with the pack warriors to become stronger and giving me more information on how to run the packs business. Tomorrow we have a meeting with the Night Crescent pack about new treaties to make both our packs stronger and my dad said I can attend.
