*Sofie*
We are on our way to the bar and I noticed that Stellie was very quiet and seemed to be calculating her breath.
“Are you okay?” I asked her and she flinched as if I pulled her up from her deep thought.
“Yeah, I’m fine, I’m quite tired from my trip.” She said and stared outside.
“Okay, but we’ll make sure that we have fun tonight.” I exclaimed and held her hands.
“Of course, Miss Garcia” she said with a sly grin on her face.
“This is the Grand Redemption of our lives Stellie!” I said to her with a little squeal.
“So much better than redemption, Trinnie. We will let go of this Hopeless Romantic life.” she said with great determination in her voice.
I was taken aback by what she said, but I just brushed it off my mind and smiled at her. We talked about some other things; how great her hike experience the other day, how she lost her phone and how angry she was with me when I never bothered to call her earlier today.
But at the back of my mind I felt wretched by what Stellie spoke about, a hopeless romantic.
I’m not referring to myself, but to her. We may have been best friends for 2 decades, but she never spoke about her love life to me.
I can’t ask her about it either. But I’ve always been a very keen observer. She may not be telling me that she likes Oliver, our personal driver. But I always notice how she stares at Oliver with passion the past 3 years when Oliver started working for our family.
I guess I know why she is not telling me about her desires for Oliver. She doesn’t want to upset her family. She may be stubborn, but she’s very careful not to dismay her parents. Her relatives are perfectionists and are always very aware of the family image and graces. They treat Stellie like a princess but always remind her to never step down from their throne. The family pressure is great in her family.
Oliver confessed to me that he also liked Stellie and I promised him not to tell my best friend. He said he would find the perfect timing to declare his love for Stellie. I just hope Stellie will have the courage in her life to fight for her love.
I remember Josh again. I did put up a fight for our love, but my efforts were washed away by the tsunami of betrayal. ‘Gago’
The car stopped at the entrance of the bar and I pushed my thoughts at the back of my mind.
I took off my faux coat and folded it and placed it on the basket at the back of the car as Stellie did the same.
Oliver opened the door. Stellie came out first. I saw Oliver offering his hand to support Stellie but she just ignored it.
‘Stubborn’ I just shook my head because of her attitude.
I came out next and Oliver offered his hand, which I took lightly.
He smiled at me but I could see sadness in his eyes.
“I need your help, Miss.” He whispered
I knew directly it would be about Stellie, so I glanced at him and nodded in approval.
Stellie was standing near the entrance waiting for me and she was obviously taking a glimpse at me and Oliver.
I happened to catch her gaze and she directly looked the other way. This b*tch is probably cursing me right now.
I smiled and thanked Oliver.
Oliver closed the door and asked for permission to park the car. He will stay with us at the bar. Dad had asked him to stay with us so that if we wanted to go home, we could directly. This place has just had its opening today. I took part in building this lair right here.
I went straight to Stellie and held her arm.
“Let’s have some fun b***h” I said to her, feeling excited.
Her expression changed as soon as I dragged her toward the entrance.
“This is it Sofie Trinity Garcia! This is the start of our new beginning”, she exclaimed excitedly.
The guard didn’t bother to identify us already and they just gave a friendly smile. My uncle is the owner of the bar, so we will be safe and no one will dare to lay a finger on us.
I took a glance at the big rustic clock on the side wall of the entrance. 10:53 pm.
‘Oh, just in time for the fun’
We could hear the blaring of the party music and once inside, I noticed that there were so many people on the dancefloor already. They seem to be enjoying themselves so much.
I felt her excitement as Stellie squeezed my hand to let me know that she was glad about our decision to come here for our anniversary.
We went to the bar area and saw Grace, who smiled and approached us. Grace is my aunt-in-law and the manager of the bar. She was our tutor before, when she met my uncle, the younger brother of my dad.
“Finally, both of you made it” –Grace
“Ohh Grace, just thinking how many times I have encouraged Trinnie, it’s so worth it. This place is fire” Stellie exclaimed with her eyes shining and her eyes roamed.
“Oh Stellie, change is constant. It’s time for us to go clubbing every anniversary and I did take part in the creation of this bar, I want to see how the plan went.” I replied and grinned at her.
“Happy Anniversary by the way ladies”, -Grace
“Thank you Grace.” Stellie and I said in unison.
“By the way, follow me to the VVIP area”, Grace stated, and started walking.
We followed her as we made our way, passing the ecstatic crowd. You can really feel the heat and fun. I can’t wait.
Grace made her way up the stairs into the VVIP area. She opened the door to one of the rooms for us.
“This will be your private room girls”- Grace
Stellie slumped on the couch, while I scanned the room.
I was amazed by the minimalistic design of the room. A classic black and gold concept with modern touch. The entire club screams luxury. It must be very expensive to get inside of this lavish nightclub.
The room has an elegant black couch that is placed on the left side of the room, it occupies the side wall that reaches out to the shiny glass that overlooks the dancefloor.
The center has a round short glass table in black with gold linings. On the right side is a small private bar with a display of very expensive drinks.
I faced Grace and said, “It’s very nice in here, Grace. I like the design of the entire club and you really put into consideration my choice of color.”
“Of course, you helped us a lot in creating the design for this.”- Grace
I felt proud of what Grace said. I surely did most of the architectural design of the place.
“I guess I’ll have to excuse myself so you two can have fun.”- Grace
“We sure will”- Stellie said with a wink, and she poured some vodka for us.
“Thank you Grace” –I said and smiled at her.
“If you need anything, just communicate with us using this iPad here. It’s voice activated.” Grace added before she closed the door.
After Grace left the room, I sat on the couch elegantly and got the glass of vodka, took a sniff for 3 seconds and took a sip of this insanely expensive drink while staring at the crowd on the dancefloor.
