tempting illusions

The shadow began calling her name. The trees started curling over so that no sunlight could get in and the vines on the forest floor came alive grabbing at her feet as she walked. stumbling over she crashed into a rock a sharp pain radiated from her body .Exhausted and in pain she was determined to follow the shadow she kept moving then she saw it a cabin dark and luring her in with every passing second she limps to it then... nothing once again darkness fell upon sara and when she started regaining her seances she became aware of the pain in her ribs, she tried opening her eyes but they felt heavy and glued shut the air around her was think humid and warm it was difficult to breath the ground was hard as a rock and she thought it probably was.... in the back ground she heard a dripping noise drip drop after some time her eyes became easier to open and she soon could see out of the bottom of her eyelids frustrated she could not open them all the way she grunted and after some more time passed the ground began moving thump thump thump whatever it was she thought could not be good desprite now she tried opening her eyes with all her strength witch only worked half way but she still could not move her ribs shooting pain through her body she laid there and all she could think about was how this was how its going to end then she saw it big and colorful with purple yellow red orange and other colors she could not identify what it was mesmerized by its beauty she temporarily forgot the grave danger she was in as it landed it stepped closer to her sniffing the air realizing the girl was no threat she transformed katrina was not expecting a women to appear she was aged and had long flowy gray hair and wrinkly face yet she was still beautiful and somehow the woman made her feel safe her eyes still very heavy begged her to close them and she did when she awoke she thought it had all been a dream and she was lying in her bed but when she sat up she knew that was not the case as the bed under her was unfamiliar and her ribs were wrapped up and some weird green stuff was on her cuts and scrapes although she was curious as to where she was she knew she wasn't in danger and when the old lady came in she looked up and asked how long she had been asleep the lady surprised the girl was awake said four days but you did wake slightly a couple of times quickly falling back asleep she paused for a second oh dear where are my manners im holly and you are ? im katrina she says pleasure to meet you and thank you for helping me not a problem at all said holly and you must be starved let me get you some food holly says with a smile on her face then she quickly walks out of the room when she came back in she had what looked like fried mushrooms and steak but she wasn't sure what it was but took it gratefully and started gobbling it down washing it down with some fresh water the food instantly made her feel better and with new found energy she stood up looking around the room it appeared to be a cave made up of dark rock the room was decorated with horns of beasts and animal nicknacks when she walked out the rest was the same with some small trees growing in corners a small kitchen and a hallway with what looked like burn marks on the sides of it two other bedrooms leading away from the hollway one room was locked and said do not enter witch made her think of what could be inside as she was thinking about it holly walked up behind her and asked how she stumbled into this the dark forest for this is not a place made for humans such as herself catrina startled by holly jumped and turned around not really knowing how to answer her question she just said the ground beneath my home swallowed me and my dog and we landed here. she mentally laughed at her statement knowing that if she were to ever say that to another human they wouldn't believe her the would probably call her crazy and lock her up but now she was actually here and she knew it was real she was at this very moment talking to a dragon human hybrid or something like it a brief moment she considered if she was crazy but knew she wasn't it was all too real especially the pain from her ribs and all the cuts and bruises remembering her cuts she asks holly what the green stuff is she says it's a type of algae that has healing properties reassuring her that it will do no harm not that she was worried about it anyway she trusted holly there was something about her that was comforting she asked holly if she new how she could get home she became worried when holly chuckled she said that the only way she could get home was far too dangerous for a mere human she would have to go through the all seeing valley and miles of treacherous lands filled with bestest of all kinds ones that aren't very nice and then if you make it out of there you have to cross the sea of shadows to get to and underground tunnel that will lead her to the surfers surprised sara just stared silently she prayed..
