The palace seemed very quiet as I and Maria took a walk round the place.
The building was very big and beautiful and at the same time seemed really ancient, the wooden gate was very big that it would take up to five strong men to open it.
There was a beautiful garden at the back of the palace building and at the end of the garden was a small gate.
Could that gate be another exit? A back gateway out of the palace?
“What’s that gate?” I asked Maria
“That’s the gate that leads into the town, my lady” Maria replied.
“Would you like to see it?” She added.
“No, I was just curious” I replied.
Just as we continued to walk through the garden, I heard footsteps from behind. I turned to see if someone was behind me but there was no one there.
I turned to see a familiar face standing in front of me.
“Bloody hell!” I screamed with a startled look.
“I’m so sorry if I scared you” Luna said with a laugh.
“I should take my leave, my lady” Maria said with her head bowed to the ground.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take it from here, you can go back to the palace” Luna said with a warm smile.
Maria takes her leave.
“Would you like to take a walk round the town, princess Amanda?” Luna asked.
“Round town? We could do that in one day?” I asked.
“Normally it would take me a minute or two but since you are tagging along, it might take longer” she replied.
If the town was that small it would be to my advantage as it would be easy to escape.
“That’ll be nice” I said with a smile.
“Alright then, follow my lead and make sure not to get lost” she said as she opened the small gate.
