“Lord Akira, I don’t think this is the best thing to do, keeping a human here wouldn’t bring lord Adrian back rather it would endanger the pack” one of the elders said finally breaking the silence.
Akira sat at the end of the table in silence folding his hands against each other.
“Lord Adrian was going to make her his bride so there’s no difference in it, besides we can’t just let Lord Adrian die like that without his killer paying for it” another of the elders said.
“He wasn’t going to bring her here, like you didn’t know the reason why we needed the union in the first place” another replied.
“It was agreed that she wasn’t going to stay with the pack, since she’s only needed for the ritual” another added.
Akira remained silent.
“What do we tell her people? The union didn’t take place, what reason would we give for holding her here?” The first elder asked.
“Bringing her here might even expose the secrets of the kingdom that we’ve been trying to cover for long” he added.
Akira was still silent. He had a pale look on his face like there was nothing running through his mind.
“She stays” he finally says.
“And as for your question elder zac, a union will hold” he added.
“My lord, what do you mean?” Elder zac asked with a confused look on his face.
“You asked for a reason to keep her here right? And now I’m giving you a reason, she’s going to be my wife, don’t I have enough reason to keep my wife with me?” He asked.
Everyone at the table were speechless.
“My lord, I guess that’s the reason you ordered that the after wedding ceremony should still take place” another elder said.
“My lord, but I do not think it’s a wise decision to keep a human here” elder zac said still standing on his ground.
“Are you saying my decisions are stupid elder zac?” Akira asked in a low and scary tone.
“No my lord, I would never say something like that if I still want my head intact and I do, I apologize if I’ve said anything wrong” he quickly apologized in fear.
Akira stood up from and the elders followed suit and remained so until he had taken his leave.
