I couldn’t get my head off the fact that I my life was in danger.
I was so scared, different negative thoughts kept racing through my mind.
The door suddenly opened, I leaped up from the bed in fear.
“My lady, I was sent by my lord to help you get ready for dinner” a lady dressed in a white and black maid attire said as she walked into the room.
“Dinner? What dinner?” I asked.
“There’s supposed to be a dinner party after your wedding with prince Adrian” the maid explained.
“But the wedding didn’t hold” I said.
How could I not remember that there was supposed to be a wedding party where I would meet with lady Diana? One of the people who were behind my death.
“But my lord ordered it to take place” the maid replied.
I remained quiet for a while, what is he planning?
“Should I braid your hair first or prepare a bath?” The maid asked.
“Bath” I gave a short response and she nods before she walked into the bathroom to prepare my bath.
Should I be happy about this or scared? Come to think of it, I’ve always wanted a life where I get to live just like everyone, I wanted a life where I don’t know what comes next, a normal life.
But why does living normal feels like this? It felt really scary, not like the time I got to write my own story.
Soon the maid came out of the bathroom.
“Your bath is ready, my lady”. She said.
I slowly got down from the bed as the maid helped me take my clothes off.
I felt unsafe, like everyone around me could be the villain just like cami who appeared to be caring but had been the villain my whole life.
The maid helped me put on a white silk bath robe.
“My lady, I’ll be outside if you need me” she said as she walked outside and closed the door behind her.
I stood there for a while before I finally walked into the bathroom.
Could I even trust the maid, what if her master had ordered her to put something in that water, something that would harm me?
I remember the tone in his voice when he said “you run, you die” it sent a shiver down my spine.
How could I be this scared of someone even when he wasn’t here? it’s game over for me, my life is really in danger.
I dipped my finger into the bath water to see if anything would happen.
I closed my eyes tightly.
Nothing? Nothing happened.
I took a breath of relief as I slowly took off my bath robe, dipping my legs into the bath tub.
As I lowered my body into the warm water, all my thoughts and worries seemed to just go away.
I let myself relax in the bath tub
