The next day, few friends stayed behind and slept over decide to help with the cleaning and putting things back in place, Chess tried to carry one of the table used to it place but finds it difficult since the table is heavier than she thought

she glance around the room for whom to ask for help and her gaze met with Sean who was sitting across the room doing nothing but playing with his phone she walk up to him

“Hey Sean can you help me with the table please?”      

Sean who was busy trying to score a goal on the soccer game he was playing ignore her focusing on the game, not giving up Chess tap him on the shoulder and call his name again

“Sean come on assist me” she requested again

angered by her touch, Sean sprang up angrily making her draw back from him with a stern face he look up at her and yell angrily at her

“Stop bothering me”

“I just needed your help to take the table….”

“I don’t care okay? I just don’t want you near me, don’t speak my name, don’t speak to me just pretend I don’t exist”

“I mean no harm Sean I just want to be your friend again just like old times”

“old times?” he asked and smile sadly

“that never existed between us” he said and left for his room leaving her standing heartbroken, Alexandra who was standing near and heard everything came up to her and pat her back

“Come on Chess you shouldn’t let his word get to you now”

“Why does he hate me this much?” she asked turning to face her.

Alexandra stare at her not knowing what to say, no one has any idea why Sean treat her austerely seeing she couldn’t get an answer from her Chess walk away leaving the work of cleaning behind.

Seeing the scene between Chess and Sean made Lora drop what she was doing to think about her own relationship with Fred she has always love him since eighth grade even when she found out he sees her just like a sister, she still kept on loving him and hoping one day he will finally love her and thankfully that day came the day he realize his feelings for her and ask her out at the school trip

she has readily accepted to be his girlfriend and couldn’t wait to get to school to show off the fact that they are in a relationship.

Fred was one of the hot guys back then in high school and he’s still her hot guy but maybe not only hers but also some others, she glance at Sarah who is a few distances away from her

Lora saw her throw a kiss in the air she look to the direction she was facing and saw Fred catching her kiss while the two shared a smile.

Lora suddenly felt an enrage in her heart the two people she trusted so much betrayed her and even have the gut to flirt right in front of her face, she tightened the grip in her hands she really shouldn’t let them eat their cake and have it at the same time, she thought angrily

but then Fred looked to her side and let out a big smile melting her furious heart she stare at him and smile back, she battle the feeling inside of her seeing his smile it reminds her how much he loves her and there’s no way he would cheat on her unless Sarah seduced him into doing so and that means Sarah is the traitor who stole a friend’s man and she should be punished for having a thing with boyfriend, she saw her go outside the room and followed suit determined to have things out with her.

“Hey Sarah we need to talk” Sarah turn to face her with her arms crossed together she look like she was expecting her to come already

“So you finally could no longer hold it in” she said a mischievous grin on her lips

“I thought you would come earlier than now” she said and walk closer to her

“So you are aware I knew?” she asked astounded

“Actually I wasn’t sure you know about it or not but then I start to show you different signs by asking Fred to come to my room and meeting with him in the midnight of the night when I know fully well you would come out for a drink like you usually do” she explained and Lora stare at her surprise

“You wanted me to know?”

“Yes of course”

“you see having to hide my relationship with Fred for over a year now is something I find so tiring and annoying”

“What? Over a year? You guys have been deceiving me for over a year now? I thought we were best friends Sarah, how could you do this” she asked and almost break into tears

“Friends? Did you just say we are friends? Is having to be your shadow and always stay out of the spotlight while you take everything good for yourself being friends?” she asked raising her voice

“What are you talking about?” she asked confused her tears threatening to fall but she try keeping them out of sight by batting her eyes almost every second

“Am talking about you having to have everything while I have nothing but now I have something and that’s Fred” she said with smirk

“Fred is not a thing you ungrateful ass he’s my boyfriend” she yell angrily

“Your boyfriend? But he doesn’t seems to think like that when he grab my ass yesterday night on the kitchen sink and gave it a beaten” she said making a slutty face

while Lora watch in disgust and anger she held her hands in a fist trying to stop herself from hitting her

“And do you know after you left, I asked him to go to the room to check if you were okay but he doesn’t want to leave me unless he had a second round with me, like in au naturel, so I had no choice than to give him what he want, since you are so weak to satisfy him in bed the poor boy wants to enjoy more honey with me”

“Arrh!” Lora scream out loud losing her mind and made to hit her

prepared for her action Sarah held back her hand and push her back roughly, she made forward to hit her again not giving up but before she could reach her, she watch her fall to the ground and let out a screech like someone in pain

Lora stare in confusion at her sudden act and wondered why she suddenly fell to the floor but before she could think further Fred appeared from behind her and rush to Sarah who was still on the floor holding her face

“Sarah are you alright?” he asked pushing pass Lora who he doesn’t seem to notice her presence, she shook her head to answer no as he lift her up

“am sorry Fred I didn’t mean for this to happen”

Lora watch the pretentious b***h already aware of her little foolish trick she’s trying to picture her as a bad person in front of Fred and she was right about thinking that she’s the one who made a move on her boyfriend

“Somehow Lora found out about our relationship and became furious at me” she explained and put on a pitiful face like she’s the victim

Fred turn to her and the look on his face wasn’t what Lora expected to see instead of a remorseful look for cheating on her he had an incensed look, he doesn’t look shock or guilty either about the fact that he just got caught by her rather he look really upset

“How could you hit her? I know you are angry but you shouldn’t pass your frustration on Sarah, come face me instead”

“Frustration?” she asked in disbelief at his words and attitude

“you cheated on me with my friend or should I say my maid and you think am passing out frustration?”

“Fred!” she yelled in disbelief   

“oh please stop it Lora” he snapped angrily

“and Sarah here is not your maid she’s also a part of this family so don’t call her names” he warned and held Sarah’s hand placing it around his neck

“What? You cheated on me Fred!” she emphasized

“all these years of friendship and love between us you gave it up because of her?” she asked pointing at Sarah who just stood hiding her snigger

“Look Lora I’ve been finding it difficult to tell you about us but now that you know it’s for the best”

“let’s break up Lora” he throw the bomb shot at her.

With her eyes blindfolded by tears she stood still staring at the two people not knowing what to do or say she never imagine their relationship meant nothing to him all these years

he has always told her how much he loves her and that he would never allow anything come in between them but now he wants to break up because he has fallen out of love for her and he’s already in love with her friend

‘is this how people fall in love and out of love?’ she asked herself not fighting the tears pouring down her cheeks.

Fred look away from her and fix his gaze on Sarah who was tugging at him to take her away from there just as they walk pass her she glance at her and gave a smirk looking victorious.

Seconds after they left Lora sat down on the floor and cried her eyes out never in her widens dream has she imagine Fred could do this to her

when she look at his eyes seconds back all the love and care she use to see in them are gone all that is left is anger and hatred

“Did she do something wrong? Is Fred trying to play with her feelings or it’s some kind of dream that look so real and would at some point wake up from it”

But no matter how hard she think everything seems to be real and happening not a joke played on her, she thought Sarah was the guilty and bad one who tried to take her boyfriend from her and she has thought if Fred would explain things to her and apologize she was ready to forgive him and let go of the incident but now that doesn’t seems possible because he just asked to end things with her.

Back inside Fred help Sarah sit down on the bed while he went to get water for her to drink he sat down beside her and watch her finish the water, she handed back the cup to him and he place It on the floor beside him

“Am sorry Fred I didn’t mean to reveal the truth to her, she just somehow find out about us and when I tried explaining she just got all flared up and hit me” she explained getting teary

“You should have pleaded with her, why on earth did you say to break up?”

“it’s best that she found out herself, that will save me some stress” he replied nonchalantly

“Come on Baby, don’t be upset now, I mean it’s her fault for pretending not to know and even let Justin hit you” she consoles

“What do you mean?”

“I mean she’s very cunning and deceitful Fred and who knows what she’s thinking right now”

“What? Lora is not cunning and deceitful okay” he said and chuckle finding her words about Lora unbelievable and funny

“She is cant you see she deceive us about not knowing anything and like I said she’s might be planning some mischief for us, you know how Lora… ”

“I know very well how Lora can be” he said standing up

“She’s the most naïve and harmless girl I’ve ever know, she might look tough outside but she gets hurt a lot”

Sarah frown at his words her expression fell seeing the look on his face, although he now loves her the way he talks about Lora each time they are together make her doubt if his love is real

he always talk with this warmth in his eyes like he’s discussing someone he’s fond of and care about, she know it’s a difficult thing getting the two to drift apart from each other but she’s sure to make it happen no matter what it might cost her

“I hate when you talk about her like that right in front of me you make me rethink your words about not loving her anymore” she complained

“come on Sarah you know I really love you am seriously done with Lora just that we’ve been together for ages now and I don’t want to be harsh on her” he stated and draw her closer to appease her anger.

She push him slightly away but he clutch back on her hugging intimately while calming her with pecks on her both cheek, she giggled at his touch enjoying every part of it

they snuggled for a while forgetting about the situation they had until someone knock on the door interrupting them in a swift they jump apart from each other and look towards the door to see who is there

“can I come in?” they heard Sean’s voice from outside the room

the door knob was curve and it seems like the door was going to open any second not knowing what to do Sarah quickly rush to the door and slam it close stopping him from coming in

“What was that for?” Sean asked surprise at the sudden burst   

“Ehem I’m in the bathroom” she said loud enough for him to hear

“Bathroom?”

“I mean I just finish taking my bath and about to dress up” she explained in a hurry careful not to sound nervous

“Okay, mum and Dad just arrived and they want you to come see them” he informed, they both waited to make sure he left before Sarah move away from the door

“Phew!” she exclaim and walk to meet Fred who was standing near the bathroom door ready to go in if needed to

“I think you should leave now I need to go downstairs”

“Wait, what are we going to do about Lora what if she tells her parents about what happened? I mean about us?”

“what else than to tell them the truth we have to convince them how much we love each other, am sure they will wish us happiness” she said confidently and made for the door but she got pulled back by Fred

“Are you crazy? You want to go tell everyone we are cheats we have been deceiving everyone for almost a year now and you think they would just let go?”

“No I don’t think so we need to find a way to stop Lora from revealing things to anyone”

Sarah looked a bit upset at his decision, she had thought now that Lora found out about their relationship everyone else will know about it giving her chances to show off as she likes, but it seems like it won’t be possible now.

if she can’t reveal it to the family she should be able to divulge the good news to everyone, without disputing she gave him a quick kiss before walking out of the room to meet her parents.
