Chapter 7

Amelia’s pov

I woke up and found myself on my bed neatly covered. I stood up from the bed and walked into the bathroom to freshen up. After dressing up, I sat on the bed trying to remember any other thing that happened.

As I stood up to start my morning routine I heard a voice from my head.

“ hey girl can u stop with the thinking i am trying to concentrate” Alys said. i couldn’t believe it, i finally got my wolf. “ Yeah i know, your so excited but i am still weak from the transformation Amelia” Alys said.

“ What is your name?” I asked her. “ You don't know my name!? I am your wolf Amelia. I am Alys, a white wolf and a rare one” Alys said feeling proud of herself. “ I am so happy to finally meet you, Alys. I thought I didn't have a wolf,” I told her excitedly. “ Yeah, I know that, I need to prepare myself before fully transforming. I needed to be strong for you Amelia” Alys said. “ Thanks Alys, I finally have someone to talk to and understand my feelings.” I said. “ Please stop with the sweet talks, we share the same emotions” Alys said scoffing at her.

Months passed with Alys keeping me company and also following up with my training. She is a good hunter and also very fast. We both find comfort in each other. I got to know a lot of things about Alys, she is a scavenger and she doesn't like her pride to be stepped on. For the first time in so long, I felt loved and had a sense of peace. While resting, I remembered my childhood in Blood moon pack. When I was first adopted because Beta Kingston didn't have Sophia then. The love I received from them even when Sophia was growing up. I loved her and we were so close, we even shared things together. We played and trained together. I never imagined a day like this would eventually come. When we all became distant. These memories brought both warmth, pain and sadness, making me realize how much has been taken from me.

Third person pov,

Elara and Sophia were seen casually eating, gisting, laughing and enjoying their victory, when all of a sudden Theodore came in to meet the both of them.

“ Sophia, I can't find the contract I was supposed to sign with the midnight pack.” Theodore asked angrily. “ I don't know Alpha, it is meant to be in your office,” Sophia replied.

“ I can’t find the contract sophia!” Theodore shouted then he mind linked everyone to appear at the training ground immediately. Every single member of the pack should be present there then he contacted the pack’s witch too.

“ Sophia, are you alright? Who could have collected it?” Elara asked “ I don't know ely, i think we have a spy in the pack or a thief. Let us just go to the training ground "Sophia said, then both nodded and left together.

At the training ground, everyone was present before the arrival of their Alpha and the pack witch.

“ You all are aware that my contract was stolen, so the pack witch is going to perform a ritual on the pack, so the person holding the contract and where it is, as long as it is within this pack will be revealed” Theodore said then he ordered the pack witch to begin her ritual. She first created a force around the whole pack before the ritual started.

At first everything seemed normal, so the pack witch started enchanting another spell. “ Lux in tenebris, veritas vigila; cords clauses aperi, mantis umbra discede. Signum fallax in lumine dissolvitur; manus abscondita palam fiat, nomine modo non nocet. Verto oculis- videor- revelare; quad latet sub tegmine, nunc clare ostendatur. Per lumen, per sonum, per pactum veritatis, adducatur verbum quod verum denuntiat.” As she said this, a strong wind blew, then Sophia's head maid stood up and started confessing that she carried the contract and hid in her quarters. Theodore and a few pack warriors followed her up then got the contract and kept her in the dungeon as they awaited her trial.

“ I didn't know my head maid was with the contract” Sophia said, trying to explain to Theodore. “ She just can’t enter my suite like Sophia, either she was sent or she is a spy.” Theodore said as he removed his hand from Sophia's.

“ I think she is a spy, i will torture her till she confess” Sophia said. “No need for that, i will do that myself” Theodore said then walked out of her room.

Amelia’s pov

At dusk, I decided to go hunting cause Alys has been disturbing me to let her out. We both made our way into the deep woods and waited for a prey.

“ Amelia, I don't think this area is safe, I have been feeling uneasy since we got here” Alys told me. I felt she was just anxious cause no one has been in this area for months. “I don't think it is serious Alys, no one has been around this side for months now.” I told her. As we discussed while she waited, we finally spotted a prey. Alys was in a hot pursuit with the deer. After about two minutes of following it, she finally killed it. As we sat down celebrating our victory and arguing on the meal that will be prepared for dinner, we heard footsteps around us.

Alys stood up in full guard. The faint rustle of movements and unfamiliar scents made Alys confirm that we were surrounded by not just any werewolf but rogues. Shadows closed in from all sides, the rogues emerged snarling, circling to cut off every escape route.

“As they started attacking us, Alys fought off the first three then we ran off as they pursued us from behind. We were outnumbered but Alys kept pushing on. Suddenly we were tackled to the ground by a rogue that emerged from one side of the forest. Alys stood up when all of a sudden one of them attacked us again. We fought desperately till we finally killed him. They became too much for us to fight and Alys was deeply injured. One of the rogues came in front and he raised his claws to kill us, I felt something inside me snap awake. A burning surge tore through my veins, cold, sharp and terrifying. My vision shifted, my eyes burning with blood lust, my body moving faster than my thoughts could comprehend. My fangs grew longer and sharper. I moved in between the rogues in undefined speed striking them as I moved. As I stood and looked at my surroundings, I saw all the rogues lying dead on the floor. My chest heaving, I stood alone in silence as confusion flashed through me. Then I heard a voice in my head, not the voice of Alys, a more terrifying and cold voice.

“ Hi Amelia, I am Valera, your vampire.” Valera said to me.
