Chapter 16     Isabelle POV When I wake, I know it's later than 6AM, which is the time that I normally wake. I stretch and feel around the bed but the twins are gone. That causes me to sit up in shock. They never get up or wake up before me. I rush to the bathroom to take me a quick fifteen minute shower. When I get out, I have the towel wrapped around me walking into the closet to get clothes. Someone knocks on the door. My eyebrows pull together. I walk over to the door and c***k it open the tiniest of cracks and see Cassy's face. I open the door wider to let her in. "Good morning!" She chirps. I mumble a good morning back and turn around, heading back to the closet. She sits on the bed, clearly making herself at home. I roll my eyes and pick out some clothes to wear for the day. I hear Cassy speak from outside the closet. "What are you doing today, Isabelle?" Pulling on a pair of grey yoga pants and a grey shirt, I walk out of the closet and look at Cassy with raised eyebrows. "Nothing, why?" I am confused. She just smirks and jumps up from the bed. "No reason. Would you like to eat breakfast now? Austie and Bastie let you sleep in." She says. I stifle a laugh in my throat. I nod and we make our way out of the room and towards the kitchen. "Why do you call them that?" I ask, the tiniest smile placed upon my face. She looks over to me and smiles. "When they were younger… way, way younger, they would always call me 'T-Cassy'. So I had to rhyme it because I'm me." She says waving her hands around and shoots me a wink. I laugh at her childishness and walk into the kitchen. Looking around the kitchen, I look for the twins. "Where are they?" I ask, looking back at her. She walks past me and proceeds to the fridge. "Working." "On a Saturday?" I ask, raising my eyebrow. She nods. "On a Saturday." She confirms. I pout. I want to see my mates. She turns around to face me and nearly falls to the floor once she begins laughing. It makes me pout more. "What- What's wrong Isabelle?" She asks after her fit of laughter, trying to look at me with a straight face. I know she's setting me up, but I can't help but to fall into her trap. "I want to see my mates.." I mumble. "Why is that?" She probes further. I look at her with calculating eyes and she puts her hands up. "I want to see my mates because I am used to waking up and seeing them now. I want to see them because they calm me. Lastly I want to see my mates because I miss and love them, Cassy." I state matter-of-factly. She smiles again. This time it's not teasing, but a really excited smile. Like she's happy that I'm happy. "Mind-link them." She says, turning back to the fridge. She begins pulling out things to cook and I furrow my brow. "Cassy.. I haven't mind-linked anyone in 7 years." My voice sounds weird to my ears. Cassy turns to face me. Her gaze is one of curiosity. "I only ever mind-linked Luna Elizabeth.. and I hardly had to do that because I was always by her side. The only other person I mind-linked was my mother on the day that... But it was only one time.. Ever since, I kind of had a block up. Thomas was my Alpha, so I couldn't block him. Sucks.." I tell her sitting down. Cassy nods her head, walking closer to me. "Okay. Close your eyes." She instructs. I raise an eyebrow and she looks at me with amusement. "Eyes closed, Isabelle." I close my eyes and groan. "Now focus-" "Why can't you just tell me where they are? I just want to see them." My voice sounds really whiny. I have never- and I mean NEVER- acted like this once in my life. f*****g mates. I open my eyes to look at Cassy; Shooting her the most pleading and innocent look I can, I poke my bottom lip out a little. She sighs before walking back over to the stove. "They're in the office." She says pointing over her shoulder with false exasperation. Despite how she sounds, I can hear the smile in her voice. I literally leap out of my seat to go see the twins, leaving without so much of a thank you. "You're welcome!" I hear Cassy yell from behind me. I laugh and sprint back up the stairs to the Alpha's quarters. When I get to their door I stand there catching my breath before I knock. "Come in." They answer together. My body shivers on its own accord. I twist the knob, pushing the door open, before walking inside. I close the door behind me and look around the office at the twins. Austin is at the desk, doing what I assume is paperwork, while Sebastian is scanning the large book shelf in the corner. "Hi." I say timidly. Austin's head shoots up and Sebastian turns around from the book shelf. "Good morning, Princess." Austin says standing and walking towards me. Sebastian walks towards me as well and they sandwich me in between them. "How'd you sleep, Belle?" Sebastian mumbles from behind me into my hair. "Good, until I woke up. You guys were gone. I'm used to getting up before you two and seeing you sleeping.." I mumble back. He and Austin chuckle, the sound voyaging through my body. They step back from me with smiles on their faces. "You missed us." Austin says. I nod. "Have you two already eaten?" I ask, looking around the office. They reply with a hum, signaling that they had already. I try to walk past them to take a seat on the grey cotton couch but Austin catches my hand, pulling me into him. He tilts my head up and looks at me with a small smile. Leaning forward he barely touches my lips with his, causing me to whine. "Kiss please." I say, trying to reach up to meet him. He chuckles but otherwise complies with my wish. "Mmm." I mumble. He pulls back and places a kiss on my forehead. Austin releases me and I go to take a seat on the couch again. Sebastian sits beside me, his task from before long forgotten, and throws his arm behind me. I look into Sebastian's blue gray eyes and mentally thank the goddess for not one but both of my gorgeous mates. I guess my gaze is smoldering enough to recognize because Sebastian chuckles, leaving me to look at him with a weird expression. "I constantly thank her too." He says with a wink. Goddess, I forgot they are in my head. I feel my face heat in embarrassment. "Have you eaten, Belle?" Sebastian asks me. Austin looks up at me, waiting for my answer also. I shake my head. "Cassy was going to cook me food, but I threw a fit because I wanted to see you guys." I say shrugging and laying my head down on Sebastian's lap. His hand finds my hair and I close my eyes, relishing in the feel of his large hand softly kneading my hair. "You need to eat." "I will. As soon as I get done talking to you." I smiled up at Sebastian. "I think I'm going to go to your cells today." I close my eyes. "What for?" Austin asks. I mentally roll my eyes. "To talk to Claire." ~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~ The twins and Cassy have been acting weird all day. It started when the boys practically rushed me out of their office. Their excuse for me to leave was that 'I need to eat. They don't want me to starve.' I left them with a calculating look before heading back downstairs and to the kitchen to see if Cassy was still down there. She was, but when I walked in it was like she was hiding something. I brushed it off and ate the food that she cooked me, which if anybody was wondering.. WAS f*****g AMAZING! I mean.. I can cook also, but damn. Currently, I am at the mall with Cassy because she says I need clothes for tonight. Cue eye roll. I asked her what was happening tonight, but she ignored me and literally drug me into the nearest store. We've been in too many stores for me to count, but it's only because she says that we haven't found the right thing yet. I was starting to wonder what 'the right thing' is, but I waved it off. I didn't want to walk into store after store, so I bargained with her. If I cooperate, I get food later. Win-win. Cassy holds up a vivid red floor length dress to me. My eyes widen at the color. "This one either?" She asks me. I shake my head. "No." "But-" "Cassy." I say with a blank face, despite my eyes being the size of saucers. "Fine." She mumbles defeated and puts the dress back. We walk out of that store and into the next. This one looks more expensive than the other stores we have been into... and they have all been expensive. My eyes look around at everything before they land on a mannequin with a black dress. The dress is single sleeved and has a split that comes up on the thigh. I have never been a sucker for a dress, but I think I'm about to reconsider. "That one. That's the one." Cassy says from beside me before walking off to talk to the sales lady. My eyes stay on the dress. I am about to walk closer to examine it thoroughly but Cassy calls my name. "Come!" She waves her hand, telling me to come closer to her and the sales lady. She looks slightly familiar. The sales lady is looking at us with a friendly expression, but amusement is clear in her eyes. Goddess, Cassy. Filter please? I walk over to the counter and Cassy literally grabs my arm, pulling me closer. "This is Isabelle." Cassy speaks. "Austin and Sebastian's mate. Can you believe it! They have a mate, Clara!" The sales lady, Clara, looks to Cassy biting her lip; no doubt to hide her laughter. "I can, Cassandra. I believe we've met.. or perhaps have seen each other." Clara says, turning back to me, shooting me a subtle wink in the process. I give her a small smile, thinking. "I saw Luna Isabelle yesterday when she handed Claire her ass; Thank you for that.." She smiles at me. "We also have seen each other at least once or twice in the pack house." I nod, remembering yesterday. 'Handed Claire her ass' she said. I smile softly on the outside. On the inside I'm beaming and brimming with delight. "So, the dress there?" I question, pointing behind me. Cassy seems to remember why she came over here and immediately takes over. The next thing I know, I'm being pushed into a large dressing room and told to try the dress on. Cassy also got me black, chunky, thick heeled heels to go with it. They're kind of like boots, but they're not. When I put the dress on, I step into the shoes before straightening and looking into the full body mirror. Dang. Never one to brag but I look good. I slowly step out of the dressing room and chatter between the girls stops, along with a few strangers passing by. I do a little spin, careful not to fall before coming back to a stop. "Think they'll like it?" I question mischievously with a smirk. She nods fervently. "Yes. Isabelle.. you look.. Amazing." Cassy sounds shocked. "I thought I always looked amazing?" I tease, crossing my arms. The tops of my breasts are VERY visible due to them being c-cups. There is a tantalizing amount of my legs being shown where the split is also. "No-no. You do.. But this..." She shakes her head and rushes me back into the dressing room. "Too many males are staring." She says before closing the door and telling me to change. I walk back out of the dressing room, the dress and heels in hand, and make my way to where Cassy is waiting. She buys me the dress and we rush out of the store. What for, you might ask? I don’t know. I didn’t even get my food. When we make it back to the pack house, she lets me see Austin and Sebastian before she ushers me into the room and locks me there. She orders me to shower and shave. Not that I am hairy, but being precautious, I do shave. When I finish, she is sitting on the bed practically wiggling in excitement. "I have an hour and a half, so let’s get started!" she says. "Started with what? What’s going on?" "I cannot believe you forgot." she mumbles to herself. Though with me being so close to her, I heard what she said. "Let’s start with makeup, and then you can get dressed." “No, let’s start with getting me food. You promised me food and I hate to say it, but I’m starving. I. Do. Not. Want to die of starvation." I say expressing every word in the sentence. She smiles and leaves the room. Five minutes later she comes back with a burger and fries in a takeout plate. I raise my eyebrow in question. "You managed to get this in five minutes how?" She just smirks at me and locks the door. “This is Sebastian’s plate. If he asks we don’t know what happened.” She hands me the food and I dangerously devour it while she watches. “How are you the size that you are when you eat so much, Isabelle?” Cassy looks on with disbelief. I smile a wide smile. “High metabolism i guess..” I close the empty plate and hand it to Cassy. She deposits into the trash before coming back to me. “In front of the mirror, face me.” She instructs. I comply, sitting in the chair and facing her. She looks around my face before a smile finds its way onto hers. “Cassy..” “Black and Amber.” She states. “Black would go great with the dress, and the amber with your eyes.” My eyes widen. “Oh, hey- Yeah. Funny thing Cassy.. I do not wear makeup.” “You are today.” “I’m allergic to it. Can’t wear it.” I say, biting my lip so I don’t give myself away. “Bull sh- crap.” Cassy says, calling my bluff. She moves forward and reaches into a bag, that I failed to notice, by my feet. Cassy pulls out a makeup pallet with tons of colors, and makeup brushes in a pack. I groan internally. She finishes around 45 minutes later and steps back to admire her work. “I did good.” She self praises. “Can I look now?” I ask. The first couple of times, she wouldn’t let me look. She nods the go ahead and I turn around to the mirror. I do a double take because I do not look like me at all. The eyeshadow is blended greatly. The amber is almost like gold, and the black, Smokey. The mascara she put on me elongates my already long lashes. She curled my long hair and put it into a high ponytail with a couple of tendrils framing my face. I stare in amazement. “I didn’t do your eyebrows because they are simply amazing.. Nor did I add you blush. No doubt the boys will make you red in the face.” She says with a smirk. I turn around and look at her with wide eyes. “This is.. Gorgeous. I mean- How did you learn to do this?” I ask. “I used to practice on Beth. She would always let me practice on her.” Cassy has a smile on her face. I look back to the mirror, ready to touch my face but she shoots forward as if knowing what I was going to do. "Time for the dress. Hurry, hurry." She pushes me into the bathroom after putting the dress into my hands. "Shoes?" The door is opened and Cassy gives me the heels from earlier with a wide smile on her face. "Hurry, please." "Okay, okay." I mutter, closing the door. I look back into the mirror before dropping the robe from my shoulders. I don't have on a bra, nor do I plan on putting on one. I grab the dress and carefully pull it over my head. I step into the shoes and stand back up. The dress looks amazing. Way better than it had earlier. I step out of the bathroom and Watch Cassy's eyes go wide. "The boys are going to faint." She murmurs. I smile inwardly. "Oh, crap. You heard me.." She mumbles something else, damning me for being one of power, before she takes it back. I watch her with an amused look. "Can you tell me what is going on now? I'm dressed like we're going to a club, an extravagant one at that, and you won't even tell me what's going on." I tell Cassy. Her smile turns more wicked than before. "If I tell you.... it wouldn't be a surprise. It's not my fault you forgot." Just then, I feel an off sensation flow throughout my body. It creeps up my back and I can tell Cassy knows from my body language. "What? What is it?" She looks around, presumably for danger. The weird feeling fades and I wonder what it is. I try to ignore it and shake it off. "Nothing-" There's a stab at my mind- nagging almost. "Cassy! It hurts!" I cradle my head and crouch low. Cassy's voice is calm when she responds to me. "I need you to focus, Isabelle." "I can't! It hur-" "Focus Isabelle." She cuts me off. "I need you to focus and follow my instructions, okay?" I nod once, stiffly. "Either Austin or Sebastian are trying to mind-link you. The pain you're feeling is where your wall is. You need to drop your block so that you can let them in." I try to do what she says but I can't. "I don't know what I'm doing Cassy" I say, just loud enough for her to hear. I feel her nod and move forward to me. "Divert your focus from the pain and to where the dull ache of it is." I nod once. "Good. Now think about them.. Try to drop it. Try to communicate back with them." I nod once more and focus. This time I refocus, wanting to get rid of the pain, but also wanting to speak to my mates. The wall and block I had up was slowly but surely starting to slip, until it diminishes into nothing. Good job, princess. I hear Austin's voice ring through my head. I lower my hands from my head and stand back to my full height. Sebastian's voice soon follows. We're proud of you, Belle. Tell Cassy that her time is up. You come down, or we're coming up.. Sebastian's voice is full of wanting and restraint that's just about tapped out. I open my eyes with a small smile on my face, happy that I am going to finally be able to communicate with my mates when i'm not around them. Cassy's face is stretched to the fullest as she is smiling from ear to ear. "You did it." She says, and I smile wider. "Sebastian said times up.. Either you send me down-" I point to the door. "Or they're coming up here. I wanna just be selfish and say let them come, but mama knows we wouldn't come out here.." I admit with a bashful smile, showing a few of my teeth. Cassy looks at me for a moment before something dawns on her. "Mama?" I nod. "The Moon Goddess. Makes sense 'cause I'm her daughter, right?" Austin's voice floats back through my mind. We're coming up, princess. I begin to panic. I never panic. I look to Cassy and she looks at me. "Come, Isabelle, before they come up and break the door down" she laughs. We walk out of the door and trail behind Cassy. The entire pack house is empty and another sensation is up my spine, this time excitement. "Where are they?" I question. Cassy ignores me as she has done a million other times today and leads me to the backyard. There are lanterns hanging from the roof and leading into a small patio opening. When we finally make it my heart stops. My mates are standing up on a makeshift stage with flowers, and a bright smile on their face. Pack members are surrounded around the stage, looking at me with adoration. Cassy gives me a nudge toward the stage and I take a couple of steps forward. Pack members move, creating a way for me to get up onto the stage. When I finally make it there, Sebastian and Austin both take one of my hands and lead me to the center of the stage where a small mic is sitting. "What is going on?" I mumble. They both shoot me killer smiles and a wink before turning to the crowd with confidence. "Thank you all for coming out tonight, on behalf of two occasions." Austin looks over the crowd before continuing. "The first occasion would be my beautiful mate's birthday, which I really think she forgot about." He stops and a few of the pack members chuckle, sending me teasing glances. Birthday?! Is that-? No.. Oh, Goddess. I forgot my birthday. I drop my head in embarrassment. Sebastian raises my head with his finger, depositing a kiss on my forehead. Sebastian picks up where Austin left off. "But that's not all we are here for. This will also be a ceremony to officiate Isabelle Marie Mason-" God the full name? "-On becoming your Luna, and our werewolf queen." Loud applause erupts from the members in front of me. I look around with a slight smile on my face. They could've told me this. My eyes catch someone's in the crowd. The familiar blue eyes let me know that it is Liam. The look on his face says he feels that something is off. Like he can feel what I felt earlier. I am almost tempted to walk off the stage, but I settle for raising my eyebrow. He shakes his head and continues clapping with everyone else. Sebastian and Austin turned me around and led me to a table I had failed to notice. "I am going to ask you questions, and I want you to answer them with all honesty." Sebastian says. I nod. He and Austin begin. Austin takes the small silver dagger, before dragging it across his palm, creating a cut. Sebastian does the same before handing the small dagger to me. It burns, but it's kind of dull, like something I've felt before. I slowly drag the dagger across my palm, drawing blood as the twins have done. My skin heals faster than any normal werewolf. I look at the dagger with fake sadness. "Don't heal!" I demand. I look back up to Austin and Sebastian. They're looking at my hands with small gazes of wonder. I try again, but the same results follow. "The only way to make sure it won't heal as fast is if I cut deep. It won't kill me, but it might hurt." I tell the twins, low enough so the others won't hear. They give hesitant nods and I slowly, but heavily press the blade against my palm. Without warning, I swipe the blade quickly, and it cuts deep. I quickly do the same with my other hand. It doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would, but it's there. I hand the dagger back to Austin who looks at my hand with heavy eyes. "It doesn't hurt. Hurry, before it closes again." They both nod, before starting to talk in sync with each other. "Do you, Isabelle Mason, swear by the Goddess and the moon, to protect all of the werewolf kind until your last breath?" "I do." I make sure my voice is strong, loud, and confident. "Do you swear that no matter what happens you will stay loyal to us all?" "I do." "Do you swear to stay true to us , without regard to money, without wanting to abuse power and without using the command for bad?" "I do." "Do you swear that no matter what you will not give up? No matter how hard you wish to give up, no matter how hard the burden of being queen is to carry that you will protect us, love us and cherish us to the end?" I answer without hesitation. "I do." They both grab my hands, mixing our blood and I feel the power being transferred, adding into power I've gained, power I've had, and power I'm getting used to. They both turn back to the crowd, who've been silent the entire time. "Isabelle Marie Mason; You're Werewolf Queen and our Savior." They announce. Everyone drops down to their knees and bends their head in submission. "Luna Isabelle." They all speak together, they sound powerful. My eyes drift over everyone, stopping on a pair of dull grey eyes that look slightly familiar.  He looks at me with a smirk before lowering his head like everyone else.
