Chapter 11
Isabelle POV
The voice is nasally and scratchy. It makes me want to cringe, but I don't.
I turn around and see a blonde-quite literally-running toward us.
I step to the side right before she crashes into me. The blonde throws her arms around both of MY mates and squeezes them.
She has on a tight body dress, showing all of her breasts and that is entirely too short. I thought my clothes were revealing.
Who is she?
The twins' eyes shoot over to me, but I am too busy watching the blonde.
"Claire." Austin says stiffly. Neither of them hug her back, but that doesn't seem to matter to her.
Finally I move my eyes up to Austin and Sebastian, assessing the situation. The blonde finally lets them go, only standing back a few feet, and completely ignoring my presence.
Keep an open mind.
Cassy's words float across my mind.
Right! Cassy. I need to call her.
"Isabelle, this is Claire. Claire this is Isabelle- Our mate; Your Luna." Sebastian says carefully expressing the words 'our mate'.
She looks like she's in shock for a second before shaking it off with a laugh. "Mate?"
Austin nods his head. "Yes. Our mate."
She looks me up and down before laughing maniacally. Why is she laughing?
"Your kidding right?" She asks in disbelief. Austin and Sebastian shake their head, moving over to me. I want to smirk, but I don't.
"No, they aren't." I say in a clipped tone. This isn't supposed to be going like this. I sigh inwardly.
"Her?" She asks again, gesturing to me in a disgusted manner. It makes me let out a disbelieving laugh.
"Is there a problem?" I ask, growing sick of her.
"Yes, actually, there is." She says moving closer to me. I raise my eyebrow.
"Look, Isabella-"
"Isabelle." I correct.
"Yeah, whatever. Isabelle." She says, stretching my name. "I know you are not their mate. So how about you back off before-"
"Before what? You make me? You show me a lesson?" I ask her and before the twins could stop me, I walk closer so that we are toe to toe. "Respect who you are talking to." I tell her. "Know your rank. Even without me being their mate, I outrank you. I know you feel it." I growl.
Power and authority leak from my words. I can tell her wolf is scared shitless, recognizing who I am. "Stay in your place, wolf, or I will put you there."
I don't give her time to respond, before I push past her. I don't know where I am going, but I need to go.
I wonder around, lost in my thoughts for a while until I feel someone behind me. I stop, but I still feel them watching me. Slowly turning, I see a man dressed in a tight workout shirt and shorts. He is only a couple of feet in front of me. "Who are you?''
"I am Liam. Alpha Austin sent me to make sure you have calmed down." He explains. I nod. "Are you ready to head back, Luna?" He questions. Luna? I nod again.
"My name is Isabelle, not Luna." I tell him walking forward. He looks baffled for a second, before giving me a faint smile.
"Yes, ma'am."
"Isabelle." I correct, shaking my head, a small smile gracing my lips. I like him.
When we make it back to their pack house, he leads me inside to Austin and Sebastian. The blonde from earlier nowhere in sight. That eases me a little. Something is off about her; Besides the fact that she disrespected me in front of both of my mates.
"Are you alright?" They ask when they see me. I nod.
"Yes, I am." I tell them. I turn to Liam. "Thank you, Liam. I will see you later."
He gives me a nod. "No problem, ma'am." I give him a look. "I mean Isabelle." He corrects, before turning and leaving to god knows where. When I turn back to the twins they look at me with a weird look.
"Do not look at me like that. He was nice. Besides, it should be me looking at the two of you like that."
"What for?" Sebastian questions.
"That blonde. You-"
"Claire." Austin cuts me off. I look at him and he just smiles a smile that says 'don't-hate-the-mate-hate-the-game-'. I shake my head.
"Whatever. If she disrespects me again I will not hesitate to put her in her place. I mean it."
They look at me with an emotion I am not clear with in their eyes. "Okay, Isabelle."
I give a firm nod. "Good. Now can I call Cassandra? I told her I would call."
"We've already called her. She told me to tell you that she was fine, and to keep an open mind. Whatever that means." He says, his face scrunched up.
"When did you call her?" I ask. I couldn't have been walking around that long.. could I?
"While you were calming down. You were gone for about 30 minutes. That's why we sent Liam to come and get you. He is our top warrior." Austin tells me. I nod.
Keep an open mind. Something I know I will have to practice on.
"Are you hungry?" Sebastian asks me.
"No.. I'm actually tired.." I tell them, stifling a yawn on the back of my hand. They nod and stand.
"Come."
They lead me out of their office and down the hall to an overly sized room.
"You're going to sleep with us.."
I nod. "We had your clothes put in here earlier, if you don't mind. I didn't want them anywhere else." Sebastian tells me.
"That's fine.. I can go through it later." I mutter.
"You can get comfortable here, princess. Sebastian and I have to take care of some work, but we'll be here shortly." Austin says, hugging me. His arms circle around my waist, effectively pulling me to him. Sebastian's arms find themselves around my stomach, pulling me in between the two.
"We'll see you in a little bit. Rest." Austin tells me, letting me go. He presses a small kiss on the bottom of the right side of my neck. Sebastian does the same, kissing the other side.
"I can't wait to put my mark on you to show all other wolves that you are mine." Austin mumbles tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
"I second that." I hear Sebastian say, still holding onto me with his face in the crook of my neck.
"Get some rest, Belle." He urges, pushing me towards the bed.
They walk out of the door, closing it softly.
I take my shoes off and sink under the covers in the king sized bed.
It smells like both of them; Wood and pine.
The smell acts like chloroform, making me more drowsy. I close my eyes and let sleep welcome me.
`
When I wake, I know that it's evening. The darkening orange glow from the setting sun tells me so. I had a dream about the blonde with Austin and Sebastian. Though it kind of seemed more like a nightmare than a dream. I shake it off and I stand, making my way over to the bathroom.
I walk inside and over to the marble countertops. On it is a toothbrush and toothpaste.
I decide on brushing my teeth before walking out of the room, in search of either of the twins. I made it to the office they led me out of earlier and walked in.
Austin is sitting at the desk doing paperwork I presume. I think he sensed me because he raises his head and looks at me.
"Hey, princess." He murmurs, looking at me with something akin to desire in his eyes.
"Hi.." I mutter back. We look at each other for a minute or two; Hell it could've been hours. I wouldn't know.
Unconsciously, I find myself making my way over to him. He pushes back from the desk and I stand in front of him. He raises his eyebrow in question, but I pay him no mind.
"I don't like you with her." I find myself mumbling.
"Who?"
"Clay- Claire. The blonde." I tell him, walking a little closer. "Something is off about her, Austin. I can feel it."
He shakes his head. "I know it seems like she's a bad person but she's not. I pro-"
"Austin. She openly laughed and disrespected me when you both told her that you were MY mates. MINE." I say, conveying how I feel through the words.
He looks like he is fighting back a smile before he speaks, "You're jealous."
"I am not!" I say, my voice is defensive. "It's just.. oh moon goddess- I don't know." I stutter out. He nods, still smiling and stands so that we are close.. closer than we had been minutes ago. He steps closer to me and I instinctively step back, my backside hitting his desk.
"Isabelle, you don't need to worry. We're yours." He murmurs lowly. He takes another step forward and I am forced to sit at his desk; not that I mind.
"That's why you were mad earlier? Because you think she'll take us?" He asks. Rhetorically of course. "Isabelle, you are OUR mate. We are YOURS. Okay?"
He steps closer so now I have to look up to see him. I shakily nod. His hands frame my face and I willingly lean into his touch. He declines his head, ever so slightly and I reach up to meet him.
"Eager to kiss me, princess?" He asks centimeters from my mouth. I nod, dazed. His mouth comes over mine and I immediately kiss back. He sweeps his tongue over my bottom lip, and I open with pleasure. He takes the acceptance and his tongue evades my mouth. My hands, with a mind of their own, find themselves tangled in his hair, leaving me to relish in the feel of the soft, silky strands. He pushes me back against his desk, uncaring of the work he was previously occupied with.
The faint smell of my arousal drafts around the office but I am too distracted to cover it. Austin smells it and his nostrils flare, before pulling back and looking at me.
I look at him with dazed eyes, my hands still in his hair. "MINE." He says,
"Yours." I whisper, before bringing his mouth back down to my own.
The kiss is more dominant than the one I shared with Sebastian. It makes me squirm; the one with Sebastian did as well but not like this. He pulls back and moves to my neck. I lean my head to the side to give him more access. I feel him smile against my skin.
"I'm going to mark you right here..." he kisses the junction where my neck meets my chest. "But not without Sebastian. That wouldn't be fair." He mumbles, sitting up and pulling me with him. He stands in the middle of my legs with his hands on the sides of my neck, holding my head up so I can see in his eyes. His eyes roam my face, like he is looking for something before he looks back up at my eyes and smiles, like he found what he was looking for.
"You are so beautiful." He tells me, leaning his forehead on mine.
"No. I am so hungry." We both chuckle.
"Come. Sebastian just mind linked me anyway." He says, pulling me off of his desk. He surprises me; Catching me off guard, he places a lingering kiss on my lips.
"What was that for?" I ask when he pulls away.
"That, little mate, was to show how happy I am for that kiss we shared; Which happens to be our first kiss." He winks playfully at me and I feel my heartbeat increase. Austin leads me down stairs and into the dining room I walked through earlier with Liam. Sebastian see's me before I see him. He walks over to me and wraps his arms around me with his face in the crook of my neck. I wrap my hands around his waist and hug him back, inhaling his scent.
Though I would never admit it, I love the feeling they both give me. It's a feeling that could heat me up but also calm me and lure me to sleep.
"Good nap?" He mumbles against my neck. I nod softly.
"Yes, and now I am ready to eat." I say pushing away from him playfully. He puts his hand over his heart.
"You didn't miss me?" He asks in faux hurt.
"Ehh…" I trail off. "I'm playing, I'm playing." I quickly added seeing his face. He leads me to the dining table, where other pack members are sitting; I failed to notice them earlier. They regard me with wary looks but are open to know who I am. Sebastian lets me sit at the head of the table with him and Austin at my sides. I shoot him a look but he waves me off with a smile.
We are sitting for no longer than a few minutes when people start bringing out food.
The smell is amazing, but the large quantities that they brought it out in leads me to think that I won't finish.
Austin fills my plate until it is almost overflowing and I try to cut him off. "Austin I will not eat that much-"
"Yes, you will. You haven't eaten in 22 hours." He sends me a look.
"You have not been counting the hours." I tell him. He looks down at the plate, not meeting my gaze.
"Just eat all that you can."
"Yes, dad." I mutter under my breath.
'
I sit watching everyone else at the long dining table from under my eyelashes. I told Austin I wasn't going to be able to eat everything. Pushing the food around on my plate, I look up at Sebastian and Austin.
Their side profile is just as dangerous as their front.
Sharp jaws, proud noses, full pink lips, and lets not forget the eyes. Sebastian's blue-gray and Austin's blue-green. That's really the only difference between the twins.
I'm about to stand when someone comes through the door. Turning I see the blonde from earlier. She walks closer to the table, her eyes straying from me to the twins.
"Austin, Sebastian-" She begins to greet.
"Alpha." I cough. The twins shoot me a look and I hold my hands up in surrender. She smells like sweat and s*x. It's honestly embarrassing; To carry the smell of s*x around must be an accomplishment to her.
"Anyway, I was wondering if I could talk to you both later- Alone, that is." She says shooting me a side glance.
What's up with everyone giving ME looks?
"For?" I ask She looks at me.
"What do you mean 'for?'"
"For what? Why do you need to consult with my mates? Alone?" I ask, leaning back against the chair I am sitting in.
"It's nothing that concerns you, Isabelle." She jibes. I ignore it and lean forward again. All chatter in the dining room has stopped and I can see the twins inch closer to me, as if they are scared I am going to jump.
"Nothing that concerns me?" I let out a bark of fake laughter. "Honey, they are my mates. Anything that concerns them, concerns me. If it concerns anyone in the Werewolf community, it concerns me because I am your Luna and Werewolf Queen. Officially or not, it does."
"Luna, my ass." She mutters turning her head down the table.
"Listen, pup. You disrespect me again and I will not hesitate to throw you outside and let you starve. Do you understand?" I ask standing up. She's quiet for a second, letting my words sink in. I can see the moment it clicks. Yeah, no one wants to become a rogue.
"Y-you can't do t-that." She breathes. I smile.
"Try it." I pick up my plate and turn back to the rest of the table.
"Excuse my interruption, you may all continue eating." I face the twins. "I am going to go and call Cassy, excuse me."
Sebastian hands me his phone and I put it in my back pocket.
"Do be careful with my mates, Claire. I would like them back in one piece." I say, before walking out and into the kitchen. Someone takes the plate from my hand and empties it, leaving me to stand there.
Okay then.
'
Liam follows me up to the twins' office, standing outside of the door.
"Why are you following me?"
"Alpha Austin told me to keep an eye on you ma'am." He tells me.
A body guard. I shake my head. "Of course. You are free to go." I mutter.
He looks like he wants to object so I cut him off. "Go. I will tell him I forced you to leave." He looks unsure but turns away to leave.
I walk into the twins' office. Swiftly closing the door, I take the phone out of my back pocket, and call Cass.
One ring.
Two rings.
Three rings.
Why hasn't she answered yet?
Four rings.
Five rings. Si- "Hello?" Her groggy voice answers.
"You were asleep." I state, relief rushing through me.
"Isabelle?"
"Yeah.. I was just calling to make sure that you were alright.. I haven't heard from you all day." I mumble. My voice sounds strange and I wonder if she can hear it.
"What's going on, Isabelle?"
"I tried Cassy, I did." I start walking back and forth. "Keeping an open mind is really hard."
"What happened?" She asks.
"The blonde. She makes me want to rip her f*****g throat out." I growl. She doesn't say anything to me about my language.
"You must be talking about Claire."
"You know?" I stop pacing.
"Mhm, Sebastian told me what happened earlier." She sounds more awake now.
"I-I don't know what to do Cassy. She openly disrespects me, and I have only been here for a day! She talks to Austin and Sebastian like they're her mates. They're MINE. I don't want to hurt her, but God- It's so.. so infuriating!" I grit out through clenched teeth, throwing my hand up in the air.
She's quiet for a moment. "You're jealous."
"No, that's where you're wrong Cassy. I'm territorial. Jealousy is when you want something that isn't yours. Territorial is protecting something that already is yours."
"Potato, potato." She says, I can hear the smile in her voice.
"It's not funny Cassandra! I'm serious."
"Okay, okay." She pauses to gather her wits. "Talk to them. Tell them what's going through your head so that they can understand."
"I have Cassy. Why do you think I came to you?! Austin is too stubborn and Sebastian thinks it's cute." I say, plopping down on the couch. The exasperation is clear in my voice.
"Isabelle, honestly, the girl isn't going to stop until you put her in her place. I know that from experience. That might be what you have to do, babes."
I sigh. "I don't want to hurt her Cassy. I don't want to hurt anyone... you know that."
"I'm not saying hurt her, just show her the place she is supposed to be in. Whether it's you punishing her or not. Though if you do get into a physical argument and she challenges you...."
"God. When are you coming?"
"Day after tomorrow. Hey, I have to go.. Please try not to lose it. I will be there in two skips and a hop. Okay?"
"Yeah, yeah." I say. "See you, call me tomorrow. Okay? Keep me updated." I tell her, referring to the 'Alpha Thomas' situation.
"I will Isabelle, get some rest." She tells me softly before ending the call.
I close my eyes and lean back into the couch.
What do I do, Moon Goddess?
