Chapter 3- No one touches my family ever again.

Kiera Pov I did my twenty laps and worked my full two hours before heading to the kitchen. My sister wanted me to try a new recipe she came up with and if it goes over well she wants to make it for our visitors next week. I had my doubts since she mentioned it was like a pot pie but fancier with a creamier sauce. I had to give my stomach a pep talk so it wouldn’t revolt. The last time she said something was creamier it tasted like old milk and asparagus. “Hey, Kiera. What brings you to the kitchen? Did you sister ask you to bring up the big bag of flour again?” Martha, the current head chef and one of my sister’s teachers, asked me when I walked into the kitchen. Martha was also like another mother to us since she took good care of us after our mom died. She was the reason we had any food on the days our father deemed us unworthy of life or even attention. “Not this time. She wants me to try her new recipe she came up with. Any hints on how I should prepare?” I gave her a big hug lifting her up off the ground and only setting her down when she hit me on the head with a throaty giggle. “Dang you messing up my apron!” She flattened it but had no anger behind the movements. “And I would get prepared to let her down easy.. I rushed off so I didn’t have to taste it. Sucks to be you!” She grinned and did a happy dance when I growled at her. Sacrificing me to the bad food gods as usual. “You’re lucky I know you will feed me good food when I am done with her food. Is she in the downstairs kitchen?” She laughed and nodded yes. I took the steps slow and light. I loved scaring her especially when it was a jump scare. She would jump back and do a small squeak like a mouse. It was the cutest thing even if she hated it. ‘Wait.’ Claire, my wolf, said. Her voice was low and scary. ‘Something isn’t right.’ ‘What?’ I strained my ears finally hearing my sisters voice but I couldn’t figure out what she was saying. ‘Give it another minute.’ Claire’s hackles were raised. ‘She sounds scared.’ Before I could agree I heard a males voice. It sounded far away and deep but so familiar. I knew that voice and I hated that voice. Trying to figure it out was like an itch inside my skull I couldn’t get to. I moved down a few steps keeping the last step between me and whoever was scaring my sister. Her starting to cry had me almost running straight into the fray to save her but my wolf held me back. That voice was something we needed to figure out in order to take them down correctly. Knowing the enemy was the first thing you tried to do in a battle. Damn her for being right. “Don’t play coy. You always give it up eventually and today isn’t any different.” The male voice finally registered. It was f*****g Bert. “I said no. I never wanted-“ A sound like a hand hitting skin sounded cutting her off. “You will do as you are told, b***h. Get on your knees.” Berts voice got louder finally breaking the hold my wolf had. ‘Alpha, Bert is being a nasty bastard to my sister right now. I will give him one warning when I go in there after that he is mine.’ I mind linked the Alpha and headed in before he even responded. I at least told him what was going to happen so that is as good as it was going to get. “Hey, Bert. Step the hell away from my sister with your nasty ass before I remove you by force.” I jumped the last step running to stand right behind Bert where he held my sister’s arm in his hand hard enough it was going to bruise. Bert’s head jerked back but he didn’t let go of Kymbre. “I will do no such thing. She wants this. She wants me.” My sister started to cry again. “Leave so you sister can get on her knees for me like a good little bitch.” He sneered putting pressure on my sisters shoulder with his other hand. That was his one and only warning. I shifted to my wolf with a growl. She is bigger than most females’ wolves but a little smaller than an Alpha’s. Her coloring is mostly red with some brown and black thrown here and there. Her teeth where huge and ready to take a chunk out of this creep. I took one step forward letting him know I was giving him a chance to step his ass back before I attacked but all he did was sneer at me before squeezing my sisters arm harder. I lost my s**t and leaped at him. I caught his arm in my teeth and bit down hard enough to almost feel the bare bones in my mouth. He screamed like a little girl and it made me smile on the inside. He threw me off of him and my back hit the kitchen cabinets. I got up and looked around to find him. It didn’t take long, he was trying to drag my sister off toward one of the bedrooms here. She was fighting him but she had always been too soft-hearted to learn to fight back. After this that would change. Alpha Argus and I would make sure of it. I ran after them as fast as I could and shoved myself between the door swinging shut and the door frame. I shoved it open and ran forward biting into Bert’s leg and ripping into it. I backed up with a calf muscle in my mouth. I dropped it and stared at him with his blood dripping down my muzzle. “You stupid b***h. It’s time you met the other side of my wolf.” Bert screamed as he started to shift. Time to kick his wolf's ass too.
