Kiera Pov
“After speaking with Beta Trey and a few of the elders we have decided that punishment for your repeated Rape and Assault of Kymbre Halfmoon is death,” Alpha Argus pronounced from the front of the whole pack. He was sitting with said council on the platform high enough so everyone could see him and see Bert.
I looked over at Kymbre and saw the small smile on her lips. I am so glad this was helping take away some of her pain and fear. I hoped that he would choose my way of dying so that the smile on her face would be even bigger. Mine would be so much bigger since my choice was a fight to the death, his death.
The pack had gasped when they heard what he had done and started to stare at my sister. She shifted uncomfortably but smiled at me. She didn’t want me to comfort her in front of everyone because she thinks it will make her look weak. She also told me I couldn’t kick anyone’s ass no matter what they said or did. It would just make her look more guilty. Stupid, if I kicked their asses, they wouldn’t look at her or speak about her again. That would clear up everything really quick.
“NO! NO! Don’t believe that filthy w***e!” Argus’s wife, Helga, yelled from the crowd. I could see her shoving people out of her way to make it to the front.
Argus nodded at a few of the warriors who stepped in front of her so she couldn’t get any closer. “Helga, I suggest that you head home. After what you did at the hospital and the lies you have spoken since then I have no reason to keep you around. You are proving to the pack you are just like your husband in having no regard for anyone but yourselves.”
Oh, he was pissed. His wolf was right behind his eyes. The power was making some of the pack who were closer to the front tilt their head in submission. I am glad we held this pack meeting on the training crowds for the space and the forest around us. We were all going to destress after. The pack members closest to her were trying to get as far away as possible. They knew s**t was going to go down.
She fought her submission and pushed her wolf to the front. “I won’t be going anywhere. You are believing the lies of this slut just because you helped raise them? Or maybe you want in her pants so bad you would lie about one of your best pack members?” She made a gagging noise like she was so disgusted she wanted to barf. “We all know you can do better. The pack deserves better than this. Bert trains your warriors who keep us safe, and they have been doing great because of him. He is more important than some lowly assistant cook who only wants to better her position."
I stepped forward growling. My wolf and I wanted to take her out but Argus shook his head no. Ugh, why was everyone telling me no on solving these problems?! I huffed and crossed my arms. Bert better chose the fight, or I would be picking a fight with the first asshat who looks at us wrong.
“This is my last warning, Helga. You either stop now or you will be banished,” Argus pushed his Alpha power at her. "This would be the punishment for any pack member for rape. It has always been this way but rarely brought up because most males respect the females and the mate bond."
She tilted her head in forced submission, barely able to stand up. She had to fight to even speak. “So…yyyy… ou will leave my kiddds…..” She swallowed. I saw the fight leaving her. She was so freaking weak. “Alone?”
I heard a few of the pack members shout in outrage at the thought of children being left alone. “Shut the hell up, dumbasses. Her kids are all over the age of 16 and have shifted. It should be their choice to stay here or go rogue with their mother. Get a freaking grip.” I rolled my eyes so hard I thought they might do another few spins on their own. "On top of that why don't you all think about the mate bond for a second. Wouldn't Helga know he was screwing around by the pain it caused her? Why wasn't she more surprised by all of this?"
Helga’s face went pale. “I didn’t know anything so he must not have been cheating. We respect our bond.”
“Wow Helga. Bert must have taught you to lie because that was complete shit.” I had to remind my wolf we made a promise to our sister about hurting Bert because I knew my eyes were flashing while arguing with his mate.
Beta Trey laughed along with most of the pack. Helga glared at me, and the alpha just held his head in his hands muttering something about me having no filter. I didn’t ever argue on that point no matter how many times he has repeated it. Filters are just to make the other person comfortable, and I didn’t care about any pack members who would be on Helga and Bert’s side in this.
“Kiera is right on your kids choosing but that can be dealt with later. They won’t have to chose as long as you start following the rules and listening to the leaders.” Argus stared at her waiting for her answer. He had pulled his power back a bit so she could reply.
“f**k you! You’re a pathetic excuse for an Alpha. That b***h wanted my mate’s c**k so he gave it to her like the f*****g slut she is!” Helga was a stupid heifer. “Her father should have killed her when he had the chance.”
And I made it in front of her before she even finished her ugly speech. I could hear people yelling around me but it was muted like I was underwater. All I felt was hot, red hot, and all I saw her immediate death, a very bloody death. The warriors tried to grab me but the next thing I know they are on the ground hopefully unconscious and not dead.
“Get away from me you crazy cow! You and your sister are turning into your father,” Helga sneered while taking a step back from me.
I smiled slightly and took a step forward. “I warned you when you talked s**t on my sister a few days ago and I don’t break my promises.”
“KIERA!” I think that was Kymbre but at this point it didn’t matter. Time was moving slow for me in my head, but I knew my actions were swift. Too bad she didn't see it coming.
