Isabella Moretti’s P.O.V
I couldn't help but blush as I stammered out a response. "I-I was just admiring your suit. It looks really nice on you." He chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Thank you. But I think you were staring at more than just my suit."
I felt my cheeks grow even warmer as I looked down, unable to meet his intense gaze. This was definitely a dangerous attraction, one that I knew I should resist, but I couldn't help but feel drawn to him. I was both intrigued and terrified by the unknown possibilities of what could happen between us.
As he stepped closer, I could feel the heat radiating from his body, making my heart race even faster. I knew I should walk away, but I couldn't resist the magnetic pull he had on me. His hand gently lifted my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. "I feel it too," he whispered, his voice deep and husky.
And in that moment, all my doubts and fears disappeared, replaced by an overwhelming desire for him. I knew this was a dangerous game, but I couldn't help but give in to the temptation.
"This is my first time seeing you," I admitted, my cheeks flushing with a mix of embarrassment and excitement.
He chuckled, the sound sending shivers down my spine. "I'm glad I made an impression then," he said, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
I couldn't help but smile back at him, feeling a sense of comfort and familiarity despite the fact that we had just met. As we stood there, caught in each other's gaze, it was as if we had known each other for a lifetime.
"Let's grab a cup of coffee and get to know each other," he suggested, his hand still on my chin.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I should accept his invitation. But then I remembered that this was my first job interview in months and I needed to make a good impression. "Actually, I have an interview right now here ," I replied, trying to sound professional.
He chuckled. " oh wow!I'm the owner of this cafe and I'm also interviewing you."
My heart sank. I had just rejected the owner's offer for a cup of coffee. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize," I stammered, feeling embarrassed.
He just smiled and said, "No worries. Let's go meet the manager then." And with that, we headed towards the back of the cafe where the manager's office was located.
As we walked, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected coffee offer and also nervous about the upcoming interview. But one thing was for sure, this was definitely going to be an interesting experience.
He left me when we got to the door of the manager’s office wishing me goodluck and goodbye
"Excuse me, sir. I'm here for the interview," I said nervously as i approached the manager's office.
The man behind the desk looked up from his paperwork and smiled warmly. "Hello there, I'm the manager. Please have a seat."
"So, Mr Rusoo tells me you're interested in joining our team," the manager said, flipping through my resume. "What makes you think you'd be a good fit for our cafe?"
"Well, I have experience in customer service and I'm a quick learner. I also have a passion for coffee and this cafe has a great reputation," I replied confidently.
The manager nodded, impressed. "Well, we do have an opening for a barista. How about we do a trial shift and see how you do?"
I couldn't believe my luck. "Thank you so much, I would love that!"
“You can come tomorrow” The manager said dismissing me
I ran out, hoping to see him because, if not for his recommendation, I probably wouldn't have gotten the job. But he was nowhere to be found. I didn't get his name. The only thing I know about him is that he is the owner.
"Excuse me, have you seen the owner of this place? I need to thank him for recommending me for the job," I asked a nearby employee. "Oh, he left early today. Sorry, I don't know his name either," she replied. Disappointed, I sighed and thought to myself, "I guess I'll just have to thank him another time."
As I walked back to my best friend's apartment, I couldn't help but smile uncontrollably. I had finally landed a job as a barista at the cozy café down the street. I knew it wasn't my dream job, but it was a start and I was excited to have a source of income again. Plus, it would give me the opportunity to work on my latte art skills.
I burst through the door of our apartment, eager to share the news with my roommate and best friend, Maria. But as soon as I stepped inside, I could tell something was off. Maria was sitting on the couch, staring out the window with a pensive expression on her face.
"Hey, Maria! Guess what?" I exclaimed, trying to lift her spirits.
But instead of the usual enthusiastic response, Maria just sighed and muttered, "I can't believe you went out in this rain. I told you it was a bad idea."
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, it's pouring outside and you went out to look for a job. I know how much you hate getting wet," she replied, her tone a mix of concern and annoyance.
I chuckled and shook my head. "Oh, Maria. You worry too much. I'm perfectly fine."
She rolled her eyes and shook her head, but I could see a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "So, did you find a job?"
"Yes!" I exclaimed, unable to contain my excitement any longer. "I got hired as a barista at that cute café down the street."
Maria’s eyes lit up and she jumped off the couch, enveloping me in a tight hug. "That's amazing! I'm so proud of you!"
We both squealed and danced around the living room, celebrating my new job. I couldn't have asked for a better friend to share this moment with. And as the rain continued to beat against the windows, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the warmth and comfort of our little apartment.
As we settled down with some hot cocoa, Maria asked me all about my new job and the interview process. I could tell she was genuinely happy for me, despite her initial concerns.
"You know, I was really worried about you going out in the rain. But I guess it was worth it in the end," she said with a smile.
I nodded, grateful for her concern. "I know, I know. But I couldn't have done it without your support and encouragement, Maria. You're the best roommate and friend anyone could ask for."
We clinked our mugs together in a toast, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over me.
I tried to get some sleep but ended thinking about the mystery man that helped me
