I gasped and stepped back just in time to avoid most of the impact of Ares's sword. He was able to cut through my dress and sliced my skin. My mom quickly grabbed me in her arms, creating a protective shield from the moon's shine around us. Horatio stepped in front, ready to attack. But he never got a chance.
Alex roared and jumped to Ares, quicker than a blinking of an eye, shifting mid air into his massive Lycan form. His claws elongated and his eyes glowed gold as he ran towards the god of war, snarling, saliva sipping from his canines.
