It is not like he hated school events he just does not want this, he does not want to interact with other people he only wants his only friend but he is nowhere right now, his friend is now studying far from him and it always makes him sad, he misses her so much. It is good that her mom went to the school during the event she is one of the spokesperson so Marcus got happy with it because it can be his escape from this event. It is consuming his energy that is why. Marcus come with his mom when he got bored at the event in their school. He does not want to talk or interact with other students. He is now in his sixth grade and about to graduate, he is kind of excited for his high school, he is excited to enter a new environment, and of course, meet her friend again. It has been a year since they separate ways. “Mom, where are we going?” Marcus asks her mom and her mom answered. “To the mall, love,” His mother answered him and he just nodded. He thought they will get to the big mall but it was in the mall in the small town nearby, his mom entered the room. Marcus stayed plans to stay inside the car just to read his books but then his mom ordered him to get out of the car. So he followed his mom. He even left the book inside the car. While his mom is busy, he just focused on the things that captured his attention. Out of nowhere he notices a girl from the Isaac’s she is wearing a uniform with stains on it, it is dirty looks like a vanilla is in her uniform. He never let go of his eyes on the girl, she looks like older than him, she is in her high school uniform. “Mom,” he is trying to get his mom’s attention but she is not paying attention to him. That is why he just followed the girl with his looks, he has a bad feeling that the girl might do something bad when he went out from the dressing/fitting room wearing the white dress. The girl even throws her uniform. He felt relieved when finally his mom called him to go out already, he did not let go of the girl because of his bad feelings. They went near the seashore and he saw the girl looking at the ocean, he walks towards her, and when he saw her spread her arms and look at the sky he then concluded what the girl wanted to do. So he runs as fast as he can to grab the girl’s hand but the girl had already jumped, so he followed her. Her mom, on the other hand, was super worried so she runs toward her son too. “Marcus!” She shouted at him while catching her breath. “Marcus!” His mother called him the moment he jump into the ocean, she is crying now do not what to do, she can’t take it, but she believes in her son. Marcus on the other hand dives into the deep of water to reach for the girl’s hand, the girl was already unconscious as of the moment. He swam up to the shore, his mom is already worried and run near to her son. “Marcus!” She scolded her son and Marcus just smiled at him while laying on the seashore. “I will call the hospital,” his mom told him super worried now, but it is still good that she have her phone so she called the police and the hospital immediately. While they are in the ambulance Marcus’ mom called their driver to pick up their car near the seashore, and Marcus’ mom was with him in the ambulance, scolding him for what she did earlier. “Marcus! I hate you! You made me worried” Marcus’ mom is scolding him and he was just there laying and smiling as if he is the winner in a certain event. “I know you play swimming at school, and I know that you were a good diver but do not do this thing, you made me so worried!” His mother keeps on educating him and he is just nodding at his mom as his response. He knows too well his mom, he got worried easily but he knows that she will not hate him, she never even pushed him to be pressured at school. “Mom, you told me that if I have the chance to help, I’ll shall help, right?” He ask his mom and his mom nodded on to him. And her mother lip her lip realizing her words of wisdom to her son. “Yes, son,” she answered and she realizes that her son really listens to them. “That’s what I did earlier mom.” He said in a happy tone as if he did a very great job. His mom felt like she won in an event but she did not go over with the thought of his son being the main protagonist. She still hated the way he did to save the girl earlier. “But Marcus it should not be like that,” she educates him again. And then she concluded of things that might have happened to his son, Marcus is just smiling. He knows that at some point his mom is proud of him for what he did she just covers it with her angers. “You know, what if there is a shark there,” she said exaggerating the event that might happen. “I do not want something bad to happen to my only son,” she added and was about to hug her son but the nurse stops her. “Mom, I am alive and was not hurt so bad, you do not have to worry too much about me, I am all good mommy,” Marcus explained, and his mom just holds his hands firmly not wanting to let go of him anymore. “Okay fine, but tell me who is that girl?” She asks and then Marcus just shrugged which makes his mom wonder. “What?” She said not buying Marcus’ expression. “I do not know her, but it seems like she needed help, and I was right,” Marcus finally explained and his mom just sighed heavily. She knows some students who are subjects of bullying from Isaac’s she did not close her ears but she is still making sure that she will not go further but her aim to make those bastards suffer and be in jail was one of her goals. But she can not say it to his only son. “Hmm, she must be suffered so much,” she said in a sad tone and sighed and then caressed her son’s head. The moment they arrived at the hospital Marcus told the nurse to remove the IV in his arms so they did. They went to the hospital bed where the girl was. They stared at the girl and became sad when they see her cuts on her thighs, wrists, and neck, she has freshly lasered marks and that made Marcus’ mother sad even more. She knows how hard it is to be bullied. And seeing a bullying victim like this made her heart sink. She hated it. “She is beautiful but seems like she is suffering,” She exclaimed, and her son nodded. “She is molested, I guess,” Marcus even told his mom and she nodded in agreement with his son. “I pity her, she has a lot of bruises, she does not deserve this. She is such a beauty,” Marcus’ mom complimented the girl. The girl is undeniably gorgeous and she does not deserve this—Marcus’ mom said that inside her brain. “Hm, mom, what do we do now, we do not know her,” Marcus asks, he wanted to call the police to investigate the case but he also wants to keep it and let the girl do the work for herself. “We can ask her the moment she wakes up,” Marcus’ mom suggested and then Marcus nodded as a response to his mother. They waited for the girl to wake up. While the girl is sleeping Marcus’ mom is trying to memorize the girl’s physical features she looks familiar to her. And when the girl woke up and she saw the two, she cried. She cried not because she is afraid of them, she cried because she knows how painful it was for her a while ago when she is trying to catch her breath. She cried because she can finally still see her parents after attempting suicide. Marcus’s mom acts fast and gave the girl a hug. “Don’t worry, love, you are safe,” Marcus’ mom caressed the girl’s head and Marcus smiled at his mom. He knows how caring his mom is and how wonderful she is because despite all of her busy schedules she can still make time for him. He never felt left out because of her mom—he considered him as an amazing woman. A caring mom since then nothing has never changed. She is still the best mom for him. No one compares. “What is your name?” Marcus’ mom asks her and she stared at Marcus and Marcus’ mom before answering. She stays silent for a while and the mother and son waited for her response patiently. “Ceara Santos. Aya,” she said and then cried again. Marcus’ mom caressed her head again to stop her from crying and it really help the girl. She is crying for about 30 minutes and then when she get tired she fall asleep, they called the nurse to check her again and waited again for the girl to wake up. When she woke up, she finally did not cry for a while but she is giving a blank stare to Marcus and his mom. They just waited patiently until she form a small smile. “Thanks,” she told them in her small voice and Marcus’ mom smiled at him. Marcus on the other hand is silent, does not know what to do anymore. Marcus is thinking on the side, while his mother and the little girl are talking about random kinds of stuff. His mom is trying her best to make the girl busy and not think about what happened to her. “Aya, do you mind if we call your parents?” Marcus asks her politely and then she just nods. “Do not be scared love,” Marcus’ mom told Aya as if she is her own daughter. She feels like she wanted to take care of her, she wanted to carry the burden the girl has feeling. Marcus on the other hand took his mom’s phone and called the number the girl have given him. A few rings and then they finally answered. He did not receive a shocking response, the little girl’s parents were calm, which made him think twice. But then he still believes that they are her mother. “Mom, her parents were on their way here,” Marcus told his mom and she just nodded still busy on talking to the girl, he just shook his head and get the bag of his mom to grab his book for him to be busy reading while his mom is busy taking care of the girl. It has been hours and Aya’s parents were still not around but still, they waited patiently while they are eating and Marcus’ mom is feeding Aya, Aya’s parents entered the room. Aya’s mother went to her to hug her tightly. “Aya my love, I am sorry, who did this to you?” Aya’s mom asks Aya while she is crying. A motherly love indeed. On Marcus’ mind, he thought that he was right to wait and trust them because they act like how her mom acted a while ago “Aya are you alright?” Aya’s mom asks her again sweetly. “Aya I will let those bastards suffer!” Her dad was angry, and he is willing to do something bad. Which made them furrow their eyebrows. “No mom, no dad, I am fine now, someone saved me!” Aya said sweetly that made her parents sigh. ---
