The Bartered Bride

I wake up to the sun just starting to rise. It's a gorgeous sunrise. I get out of bed and head to the bathroom. After that I get dressed and head down stairs. I see my mother,father and my brother's sitting at the table. Before I say a word, I smell delicious coffee,bacon,pancakes,and sausage. I sit in my normal seat and pour myself some coffee and fill my plate high with food.I skipped dinner so I'm starving. Everyone just stares at me while I shove food into my mouth. My father,Ralph, says " Well, at least one of you realizes that you're almost late for training." My mother then says," Dear, give them a break, they are just eating breakfast." I smile at my father, who just scowls at me. My mother always stuck up for me, in particular. One because I was the only girl and two because I am the baby. I finished my breakfast before my brothers and ran off to training. I did get a scowl from our head warrior since I did show up late, but my brothers got it worse. They had to run two extra miles. After training, I took a shower and went downstairs for lunch and as I walked into the kitchen I hear my best friend Shayna talking to someone. I hear my brother Cameron's voice and just rolled my eyes. She always had a crush on him. She turns and sees me saying, "Good Morning Alli, what's on the agenda today?" I smiled and said,"Well, since it is my birthday in a few days, maybe we could go shopping for a new outfit!" I despise shopping but Shayna and my mother live to shop. I watched her bounce up and down,smiling like a kid on Christmas. I then saw my mother peak around the corner and say,"Did someone say shopping?" I rolled my eyes and replied, " Yes mother. I asked Shayna if she wanted to go today." My father,really hating the idea of us being outside the pack house,which came from out of no where, said,"No!" Shayna wasn't happy but my mother pulled him aside and spoke with him softly. He turned around,sighing, then said ," okay yall can go, but one condition. Cameron and Damien will go with you plus two of our warriors." I went to argue but Shayna said, " Yes alpha." before I could even respond. Shayna and I waited next to the garage for my brother's and the two warriors my father insisted come with us for a few minutes before they showed up. Of course, Cameron insisted that he drive. We all hopped into his Land Rover and drove off. A good twenty minutes later, we arrived at the mall. We walked in and headed straight to a dress shop. I loathe dresses. The only reason I'm okay with shopping is because my 18 birthday is coming up and I have to look presentable, since one I am the alphas daughter and two because it will be my first shift.
