Where is she?
Afterward, I managed to go back to sleep, but only for a few hours. For a while, I was too scared to close my eyes. The image of my mother dying by Idris’s hand was going to haunt me down for the rest of my life. Idris wasn’t the devil. I still wanted to believe he was on our side, that what happened in the tunnel was staged.
