WHAT IS LOVE TO YOU

CHAPTER ONE In a big city of Beijing, there was a notorious mafia boss, feared by many gangs, government, law enforcement and including other Mafia society. He was known to be a cold, dangerous and a loveless man and thus he was named "The Eye Of The Tiger". His real name is Jackson Yuchi Shen, he was really feared a lot in the city of Beijing and also outside the city. Women who tried to get close to him only end up being dead or half dead but above all this notorious activity, no one ever believed that someone could melt down his heart. It was a rainy Friday night, Jackson entered the most popular Bar in Beijing to sign off a deal with his client when he met a young waitress named Jennifer Lu, The only daughter to Mr Lu Chen and Mrs San Lu. Her family was poor and Jennifer had to work hard to make ends meets for her Education, herself and her family. In the morning, Jennifer does deliveries before going for lectures and in the afternoon she works at a restaurant as a dish washer and in the night she works as a waitress in the bar. That night was the night that changed everything about her life into a brand new one. Jennifer was sent to Jackson VIP room to serve him and his business partners drinks and the manager reminded her that Jackson is a man she shouldn't offend thus, she should serve him well. Jennifer breathes before she entered the room where Jackson was and on first sight, she instantly caught his interest. Jennifer with her breath hung to her to her chest calmly asked Jackson the type of drink he wanted, Jackson told her to come closer and repeat the question she asked because Jackson assumed she was an old worker who of course should no his type of drinks and also he thought that she was one of those waitress that feign good behaviour and voice just to get his interest. Jennifer became scared and she felt like the ground should open and swallow her immediately, she calmly obed him and she kindly asked him the type of drink he wanted with tears almost welding up in her eyes. Jackson looked at her for a moment and him realising how beautiful she was and also she was a pure soul. one of Jackson's bodyguard began questioning Jennifer in a harsh tone about her daring to question their master and Jennifer hearing this instantly fell on her knees with tears and fear begging for her life. The guard instantly slapped Jennifer across the check and was intending to hit her again when Jackson stopped him, in a furious tone Jackson questioned the guard about who gave him orders to hit Jennifer. Jennifer who was already in tears looked up and met Jackson gaze and she quickly apologised for her behaviour. Jackson squatted down and asked Jennifer to raise her face and she did so out of fear, he looked at the five red marks on her chick and he instantly asked his main bodyguard to cut off the hand of the guard that slapped her. His body guard by name, Crazy Monkey did as he was told and everyone was shocked. This has been the first time in years that they have seen Jackson helping a woman out let alone a young girl. He took of his Jacket and rapped it across her shoulders and gradually he carried her up into his hands in a bridal style and kept her on his chair. Jackson asked Jennifer her name and she replied by telling him her name with a trembling face and he told her his name gently. His assistant bodyguard was so mesmerized to see Jackson being so close and gentle to a woman and he wondered what might have happened between his boss and the young and beautiful waitress. Jennifer was so scared that in tears she begged him not hurt her, she explained that she didn't mean to ask him questions because she is a new worker here. Jackson looked at the the trembling Jennifer and instantly he giggled and told her not to be scared that he won't hurt her in anyway. Then he told her that he loved strong whiskey or white wine, Jennifer nodded and proceeded to serve him. She did that as he requested and she stood there trembling in fear not knowing if she should leave or stay. Jackson looked at her and asked her y she isn't leaving the room, she quickly apologised and said that she only stood there because she wanted to make sure that they were well served. Jackson dismissed her and she left the room in a rush. Jennifer breathes a sigh of relief and she proceeded to the next room.she got to the next room and she found out it was another group of mafia's named the blade mafia gang. Immediately she entered the room, she noticed that they were looking at her in a seductive manner and she got scared but she just had to do her job. meanwhile in Jackson's VIP room, he couldn't just stop thinking about Jennifer, so in that way he decided to go out of the room and meet the manager in order for him to get her contact details. Jackson left the room and on his way, he heard a girl screaming for help in the next room. Normally Jackson would have ignored the call for help but he couldn't because the girls voice sounded like Jennifer's sweet voice. Jackson commanded his guards to break down the door of the room and behold he found Jennifer almost stripped naked, lying on the floor in tears. Jennifer thought she was gonna be abused by the blade mafia gang but her warrior prince saves her in time. Jackson immediately commanded all his guards to kill every single blade mafia members that are in the room, he then wrapped his coat on her and then scoops Jennifer into his hands and then whispers into the the trembling Jennifer's ear saying " Do not be afraid, am here for you and no one will hurt you again". Jackson took Jennifer out of the room and headed towards the lobby and there everyone was shocked beyond words because everyone knew who Jackson was. Some of the workers began to gossip quietly, some of them was saying that Jennifer must have seduced him and won't last a day in his hands, while others were saying that This is the first time they have seen Jackson protecting a woman. Jackson took Jennifer into his car and drove her straight to the hospital because she had some wounds on her head, knees, hands, and her foot. The doctor discharged Jennifer that night and so Jackson offered to drive Jennifer home.He used the opportunity to get to know her apartment and when he dropped her off, he bid her farewell after collecting her contact. CHAPTER TWO Jennifer went inside her apartment and thanked God for saving her from the troubles throughout the night thanks to Jackson. Jackson got home and was in his room showering when he decided to call the manager of the bar where Jennifer works. He specifically told the manager that she shouldn't allow Jennifer to serve others in the bar except from him only, the manager agreed and Jackson proceedes to sleep on his soft mattress. Jackson couldn't sleep because he couldn't get his mind off Jennifer the girl he has picked interest on. The next day, the news of Jackson eliminating the entire blade mafia gang because of a waitress was spread across the social media. Jennifer, the next day proceeded to doing her daily routine by performing her delivery jobs before she goes for lectures. she didn't expect to meet Jackson again. Jennifer went to deliver a new fruit blender to Jackson's address but she didn't know it was Jackson's villa. When she got there, she noticed that the villa was heavily guarded and so she decided to stop he little delivery scooter outside the gate of Jackson's villa. one of the bodyguards asked Jennifer if she was the delivery agent that was sent to bring the ordered blender and Jennifer replied "yes". she was allowed to enter the compound and thus was asked to wait at the lobby while they go and inform their master about her arrival. Few minutes later Jackson came out of the villa and headed towards the lobby with a cigarette in his mouth and then was shocked to see his heart throb waiting for him. Jennifer was also shocked to see Jackson, the man who had saved her from the blade mafia gang members in the bar 2 days ago. Jackson smiled at her and then invited her into the his villa. They both entered his villa and then he lead her to his living room. He told her that he wasn't expecting to see her again but it seems luck was on his side. Jennifer was a bit flustered by his words but kindly replied with a sweet smile saying she too didn't expect to see him again. Jackson asked why she was working in the bar and also doing deliveries and Jennifer explained to him how her family was poor and how she had to work three jobs just be able to support her self in school and her family too. Jackson was sad and offered to help her out with her college fees if she would stop working as a waitress for others but to be his personal waitress at the bar. Jennifer was thrilled and instantly disagreed because she didn't want trouble but Jackson didn't want to take no for an answer. Jennifer had no other choice but to agree to his request but under one condition that his guards wouldn't scare or threaten her if she is working with him and if he wouldn't hurt her in anyway, He agreed to her request immediately and then kindly asked her to help him set up the blender she delivered. Jennifer left Jackson's villa with a sigh of relief and hurried up to meet up with her lectures while Jackson was his front corridor looking at Jennifer as she drove off with a big smile on his face. Suddenly Jackson called for his body guard by name Crazy Monkey, and commanded him to make sure that no one dares to hurt his woman in anyway. Crazy Monkey was shocked because his boss never had any interest in a woman and now he is head over hills in love with a waitress he just met. Crazy monkey decided to ask Jackson the reason behind his smile that morning and Jackson quickly explained that he has interest in the girl and is going to make her his woman. Crazy Monkey informed him that she is yet to know his true identity and then Jackson reviled that he is gonna hide his identity in order for him to keep her safe from his rivals but he commanded crazy monkey to make sure that no one dares to harm her in anyway, because it in school, her work places, her house and the bar. Crazy Monkey proceeded to look after Jennifer privately and he always informed Jackson about her daily movement. On a Thursday afternoon, Jackson suddenly drove up to Jennifer's university with less guards and he looked like a Normal CEO of a company in order to avoid on lookers awareness. He waited for her at her school gate and Jennifer seeing him was surprised to see him in her school. she wondered if he had a relative who was studying in their school but only to find out that he actually came to see her. Jackson gifted Jennifer a beautiful red rose flower and he told her to treat him for lunch since he saved her. Some of her course mates saw her with Jackson but didn't recognise that the man Infront of them was the most feared mafia in the entire city of Beijing. Jennifer explained to Jackson that she had to go for her afternoon job but Jackson told her that he already begged her employer to give her a week off starting from that Thursday. Jennifer was thrilled that Jackson went to that extent just for him to see her. Jackson requested a home made lunch from her and she agreed to take him to her house for lunch, They both proceeded to her house for lunch. it took a 25 minutes drive to her house, Jennifer proceeded to open the door of her apartment when her male neighborhood by name Mr Chen was shocked to see Jackson the notorious mafia in their block and he wanted to tell Jennifer that Jackson was a mafia and he also wanted to know how she might have offended him but one glare from Jackson shut the neighbour up. Jennifer opened her door and they both went inside. Jennifer's apartments was a bedroom and kitchen with toilet and bathroom and also sitting room just to say a bedroom flat. Jackson took his time to examine her apartment before settling down in her sitting room. Jennifer asked what he would like to eat and he requested for Kung pao chicken and luo mei that is fried noodles. She went into the kitchen to check if she had the ingredients for the meal he requested and luckily she had the ingredients and thus she begins to do cook the meal. The aroma of the food attracts Jackson into the kitchen and he walks into the kitchen,telling her how good she looks when she is cooking, Jennifer jerked a bit and asked him if it was her cooking skills had attracted him to her kitchen, she gently pushed him out of her kitchen and then told him that the meal is ready. They both proceeded to her sitting room and Jennifer served the meal to him and waited for him to rate her cooking skills.Jackson enjoyed the meal and could not help but to praise her cooking skills, he explained to her about how long someone had prepared his favourite meal to his taste except from his late mother. Jennifer consoled him and told him that he is always welcomed to her house anytime for a meal. They both chit chatted for a while before she asked him why he was in the bar that day, Jackson explained to her that he is the CEO of a billion dollar company and he wanted to close a deal with his client, she was really happy that he is indeed a responsible man. She asked him if he had siblings and he said "yes", she asked him how many they were and he explained that they were only 2 him and his younger sister. Jennifer smiled and told him that she is sure that his sister is pretty and beautiful. he asked her if she had any sibling and her expression changed, she explained to him that she was an only child of her family and her family lives in a Small town in Liandong. Jackson smiled and told her not to worry that he is here to help when ever she needs him, she giggled and asked him if he is sure about it and he nodded slightly in agreement to what she said. Jennifer then told him that one of her lecturer has been asking her to sleep with him but she rejected the offer, only for the lecturer to threaten her with her results and she doesn't know what to do about it. Jackson frowned upon hearing about what has been bothering her, so he told Jennifer not worry that he would talk with the management of her college about the issue, she nodded quietly and thanked him. They both chatted a little longer before Jackson prepared to leave. She accompanied him out of the building and she watched him drive off with a big smile on her face before she went into her building. Jackson on the other hand called his body guard, Crazy Monkey to get him an information about the lecturer that bothered her in school within 10 minutes. 10 minutes later the information about the lecturer was given to Jackson and so he commanded crazy Monkey to deal with the man immediately before midnight. Crazy Monkey did as he was told and in the morning the next day the news of the lecturers death was filled up in social media. Jennifer heard this information and immediately she called Jackson and asked him if he was behind the lecturers demise, Jackson lied saying that he was on his way to her college in order for him to talk with the management of the school. Jennifer believed him and at the same time she heard that the lecturer not only threatened so many students but also threatened an Axe mafia gangs daughter who also studied in her school. Jennifer was thrilled because she thought it was only her that has been threatened by the lecturer. CHAPTER 3 The remaining week has been very stressful for Jennifer and Jackson noticed it, so he called her and asked her if she was going to work in the bar on Saturday night and she said "yes" . On Saturday night he went to the bar and on agreement with the manager of the bar that Jennifer will serve no other customers except from him. Jennifer arrived at Jackson's VIP room and proceeded to serve him, he smiled immediately he saw her and he asked her to seat with him for a while, she agreed to chat with him since it has been 2 weeks since they last saw each other. She was happy to see him again but she noticed that Jackson was hurt. She asked him how he got injured and Jackson told him how he was almost assasinated on Friday night. Jennifer was speechless and wondered why someone would want to hurt him. At some point she looked at him and could not help but imagine why she has been having butterflies in her tummy each time they sit too close and she kindly asked him if his injuries hurt so much, Jackson smiled at told her that she didn't have to worry about him. Jackson looked at Jennifer and noticed that at the corner of her eyes there was tears falling off, he calmly hugged her and he used the opportunity to kiss her. for the first time Jennifer felt warmth but she quickly gained her composure and pulled away from the kiss. Jackson apologised by saying sorry for the kiss and Jennifer told him it was okay because that was her first kiss. Jackson was surprised and also within him he was really happy that he was the one that took her first kiss. Jennifer asked him if he needed anything else so that she can go and get for him. Jackson told her that he only wanted a homemade turkey and fried rice, She smiled and asked him to wait while she goes out and change to her casual wear, he nodded and Jennifer left the room. 10 minutes later she returned to the room where Jackson was waiting for her and they left quickly. As they were leaving, customers and workers began to murmur about the relationship between a feared mafia and an ordinary waitress. Jennifer asked Jackson to stop at a nearby supermarket so that she could get some food stuffs, He parked Infront of the supermarket and they both went inside while the guards watched them both leave with a dazed expression on their face. some of the guards began wonder if their boss actually fell in love with an ordinary waitress from a bar or if he was just using her. Meanwhile inside the supermarket, Jennifer and Jackson were busy buying some food stuffs when an assassin attacked them, luckily Jackson was fast enough to Push Jennifer to safety. Jackson fought with the assassin and killed him but ended up getting seriously injured and Jennifer had to call the ambulance for Jackson. The guards accompanied Jennifer to the hospital while his personal body guard proceeded to find out who had sent the assassin that attacked their boss. At the hospital Jennifer was passing around the door of the operating room, praying hard with tears in her eyes for Jackson's wellbeing. The doctor came out an hour later and quickly informed Jennifer that Jackson was out of danger that she can go and see him. Jennifer was happy and quickly rushed to see him, when she entered the room she was happy to see him awake and okay, she quickly told Jackson about how scared she was when he lost consciousness. Jackson looked at her and smiled, telling her that she shouldn't be scared that his injuries were not so serious. Meanwhile at the Shen family villa, Crazy Monkey had proceeded to let Old Master Shen and Miss Shen about Jackson's wellbeing and behaviour lately. Both Old Master Shen and Miss Shen was shocked and surprised after hearing the information about Jackson, They both quickly rushed to the hospital where Jackson was admitted in order to confirm their doubts and on opening Jackson's room in the hospital they saw a beautiful young girl sleeping on the couch that is close to Jackson bed while Jackson was covering her with a blanket and giving her a kiss on her forehead. Jackson turned around only to see his father and sister standing right Infront of his hospital room. Jackson asked them how they knew his was admitted in the hospital and the father told him that his personal guard told them about his situation and also about the girl ( Jennifer). Jackson's father asked him about the relationship he had with Jennifer and Jackson told his father about his interest in Jennifer with a low voice. Jackson's father also asked him if she was aware of his identity and he said "no" to his father, Jackson's father reminded him that she is might be in constant danger because of him and that if he knows how to protect his woman from all the dangers surrounding him. For a brief moment he looked at the sleeping Jennifer and told his father that he would do everything within his power to protect her. Jennifer woke up to check up on Jackson when she saw his father and sister in the room, she kindly stood up and bowed Infront of them as the gesture of greeting. Jackson's father smiled at her and warmly accepted her greeting, Jackson's sister kindly took her hand and quickly called her sister in-law, Jennifer was puzzled and tried explaining to Jackson's sister that she isn't dating Jackson but they were just friends, Jackson quickly cut her off by pretending to have a headache in order to reduce the tension. Jennifer quickly rushes to his side and began asking him where it hurts a lot. Jackson told her that his head hurts a lot, Jennifer told him not to worry that she would make some soothing soup for him immediately, Jackson felt a little bit uncomfortable about letting her leave alone to make the soup that night so he dismissed the idea but instead suggested that she should just stay by his side, Jennifer smiled and then perked him on the cheek and carefully she told him that she would never leave his side. Jackson's father and sister were smiling happily and so they both decided to leave the two love birds alone. Jackson was discharged the next day and Jennifer told him that she is going to take him to her apartment so that she can fulfill his wishes. on the way to Jennifer's apartment they stopped at the market to buy some food stuffs and groceries. As they shopped, an old woman quickly approached them and told them how perfect they are as a couple, Jennifer looked at Jackson and blushed but before she could reply back to the woman, Jackson had already told the woman that they just recently got married few months ago and kindly thanked her for the compliment. Jennifer was stunned and after the woman left, she kicked him hard on his legs and quickly called him a" big head" before heading towards the cashier. Few minutes later Jackson and Jennifer arrived at her apartment and Jennifer proceeded to the kitchen to make lunch for him. Jackson offered to help her out and she agreed, they both cooked and chit chatted at the same time. After lunch Jackson proceeded to tell Jennifer what he had in mind for her, Jackson told her to stop her part-time jobs but rather she should come and work for him in one of his companies. Jennifer was happy and she thanked him a lot, she asked him which branch of his company is she going to work and he told her that she going to work in his radio station since she is good in telling stories and she would be paid 1 million every month. Jennifer was excited and she quickly asked him what time should she start and he told her that she should rap things up with her former employees within a week. Jennifer used a week to resign from her part-time jobs and was ready to work with Jackson's radio station, already Jackson had made sure that no one makes things difficult for Jennifer while she works in his radio station. Jennifer was excited and also nervous on her first day of work, the Manager of the company kindly introduced her to other workers in the company before leading her to the studio where she would work. They entered the studio and there she saw Jackson smiling at her and giving her some words of encouragement, with that she performed excellently well. Jackson gave her a thumbs up after she was done casting. meanwhile the radios station star by name Miss Ye Lilian was very jealous because Jennifer is now stealing her spot light. One month after Jennifer started working with Jackson's radio company she became the rising star and face of the radio station, she had so many fans and Jackson was proud of her but Miss Ye was not happy about the success of Jennifer, so she decided to do everything within her power to make Jennifer loose face in the company. Meanwhile Jackson asked Jennifer if she was free after work so that he could take her out for Hot Pot on Friday evening, Jennifer agreed and they went out together for Hot Pot. Jackson used the opportunity to tell Jennifer his intentions towards her, he explained to Jennifer about how much he liked her and he wants her to be his girlfriend. Jennifer was thrilled and decided to give him a chance since he was gonna be the first guy she is going to date. Jackson was really happy but he was also scared that Jennifer might find out his real identity, so he decided to keep pretending till he masters up courage to tell her the truth. Jackson was happy and he promised her that he would never hurt her in anyway and he will always protect her all the time. Jennifer kissed him for the first time and she gently told him to keep it as secret since she is working for him, Jackson asked why and Jennifer told him that she feels that letting other workers know about their relationship might make them change their character towards her. 6 months into Jackson's relationship with Jennifer, his secret was accidentally revealed when his cousin brother visited him when he was in the radio station. Jackson's cousin brother by name Mr Vincent Shen, came to the radio station to see Jackson since he heard that Jackson has finally gotten himself a girlfriend. Jennifer was at the door listening when she overheard when Jackson's cousin advising him to tell Jennifer the truth about his identity. Jennifer felt puzzled about what she is hearing and wondered what Jackson was hiding from her, she decided to listen further to their discussions and it was there she heard that Jackson was the notorious and most feared mafia in Beijing. Tears streamed down from her eyes as she couldn't just process what she had just heard, she bagged into his office with tears and in disappointment she asked him why he hid his identity from her and why he chose to lie to her all these while. Jackson tried opening his mouth to say a word but nothing was coming out, He tried calming her down but couldn't because she asked him not to touch her. she said the words "I hate you" and with that she left his office in a rush. Jackson in anger smashed the expensive vase in his office and then he quickly asked his cousin brother to leave immediately, he quickly picked up his phone and dialed her number but she wasn't picking up his calls, Jackson was devastated and he called his manager into the office immediately. When the manager came into his office, he noticed that Jackson was in a bad mood, and he knew what Jackson was capable of if he is angry. Jackson asked the manager where Jennifer was and the manager told him that she took permission to leave the station a few minutes ago, Jackson was so devastated after hearing from the manager that she left immediately and also he was wondering how long she had been standing outside the door of his office. Jackson left the station immediately and decided to go to her apartment and sort things out with her but he got a call from his assistant about assassin's following Jennifer from behind.
