f**k my duties; I hate having to wake up early and cleaning the royals’ room every morning. Adding to that I’ve been bored as hell, it only takes a few weeks before cleaning and reading could bore a girl.
And my nerves have been on a high since last week’s drama in my room, and fortunately for me I haven’t seen them or maybe I have been avoiding them. I’m just not ready to accept the latter because that would mean I am weak and avoiding problems instead of facing them.
But everyone avoids problems at a point in their life; it’s just part of being human. Well that excludes the vampires; it seems the face their problems head on since they’re immortals.
Since I arrived at this place, I always seem to jump from one mystery to another in an endless circle and now I have a lot to figure out from my Diary to Lady Evelyn and Haden and Katherine’s problem with me.
And now I have to figure the diary out. All I have to do is make sure I finish all my work and lock myself up in my room. I would make sure nothing distracts me from what I need to do.

I locked my bedroom door and hid myself in my bathroom holding the diary and a pen; I closed the door and pushed a chair under the door handle for safety. Sitting on the toilet lid I breathed deeply, and shook my hands to shake off all nervousness.
Then I opened the book, and wrote my first few words. ‘Today was stressful and boring as usual.’ I stopped when nothing happened. I hit the book maybe it was broken or something. I huffed and tried again.
‘Dear diary.’ I wrote as the book glowed and I smiled. Curved handwritings appeared on the pages of the book and I smiled.
I breathed again before I started to read.
‘Dear diary, the joys in my heart know no bounds. I met this very handsome vampire prince from Alynth. And father had said he was my betrothed, adding that we would soon have our marriage rite.
Although the news was sudden, but the fact that he was well fit, muscular and so handsome made me so happy I forgot I was supposed to be angry. Living with a man like that for the rest of my life was a dream come through.
I can’t wait.
The next page.
‘Dear diary, Prince Luther is the sweetest man I’ve ever met, he’s so kind and caring. He gave a very expensive jewel saying he got it from the ruins of his latest conquest.
And he promised me to keep it very safe and use it to remember him whenever he’s not around. I just can’t wait to marry this man.
Honestly, I was expecting the prince to be Lord Edward, but I guess this was real life and not a romance novel.
In the next ten pages was filled with love confessions and I sighed. At this point I was seeing no use to the book. I don’t know what was so important about a woman writing up love poems about her husband.
I closed the diary after reading another page of confessions and poems; I was already starting to get embarrassed for this woman.
I walked out of the bathroom and hid the book under my bed. It was still early in the night so I decided to visit Asher before going to bed.

I knocked thrice before I walked into his room to see him with no other person than Haden. My heart skipped a beat at seeing his face and I looked away before he can read into my emotions.
“Cecile! Nice having you here. Haden and I were just talking about you.” He raised his eye brows suggestively with a smirk.
Instead I rolled my eyes and walked up to his bed and ignored Haden who sat opposite the bed. With a frown etched on his face.
“So, what about me were you talking about?” I asked folding my arms after making myself comfortable.
Haden scoffed. “There is a lot to talk about you.” He narrowed his eyes, bending forward to rest his arms on his knees.
“Why don’t you explain yourself, there’s a lot about you that is suspicious.” He continued with a smirk and flashed his fangs for intimidation.
I gulped. It was moments like this that I remember that I’m in the midst of dangerous supernatural humans. I shifted nervously on the bed and glanced at Asher for help. I knew I should have walked out the moment I saw Haden, the guy was so damn intimidating.
“Well, I don’t understand what you are talking about; I am just as confused as you are. I wished I knew what was going on, the only thing I know is that my mom made a deal…’
“With a vampire and he claimed he would come for you at your lowest vada nada…” Haden completed.
He moved closer and his eyes flashed red making me flinch. “Let me tell you something. I don’t believe that bull story; I’ve heard it countless times before you came here. And I know my old man more than anything, and that is he doesn’t give a crap about useless humans and when he does, it’s for a reason. Believe me; I sure as hell want to know what that reason is.”
I felt my head was about to explode and I snapped.
“What the hell is wrong with you people!?” I stood up angrily, and walked towards Haden.
“How am I supposed to know anything, my life was just going on pretty amazing and one day some creep, ‘no offense Asher’…”
He raised his hands in surrender.
I continued, “…Tells me that my time is up and I have to realize on that same day that my life is f****d up, so you high and mighty intimidating vampire tell me how I’m supposed to know anything!”
I finished in one breath. I looked at the two men who are staring at me with a stunned face. I huffed and walked past Haden without another word. I opened the door and slammed it shut.
