Torn Between Two Alpha’s

“You’re a jerk!”

Avery sat in her room staring at the ceiling as silent tears ran down her face.

She sighed to herself and felt her heart break more as she heard sapphire whimper.

“Mate,mate,mate”She whimpered in my head and I curled up on my bed.

She took a breath in the scent and grimaced.

Her sheets smelled like him as she forgot he was in her room the night before today.

“Sapphire they lied to us,he didn’t tell us he was our mate. He’s my best friend and took my virginity. I gave it to him because I trust him but what was real and what was fake.”Avery asked in but a whisper.

“Maybe-Maybe there was good reason,I hope.”Sapphire stuttered out.

Avery groaned in pain as she felt for her wolf but it sadden her that she was on the verge of breaking.

Sapphire was always giddy,happy and strong

Xavier sat in his office staring at the door and glaring at it as his eyes would destroy it any minute.

The door bursted open as Clinton walked in with a smile on his face and a box of donuts in hand.

Xavier glared at him before Clinton looked up and raised an eyebrow before he looked around the room confused before shutting the door.

“What’s wrong Mr.Grumpy!?”He asked in a cheerful voice.

Xavier just sat frozen in his seat as he let a groan out of his throat.

“Is this about Avery?”Clinton asked taking another bite before sitting down on the couch making himself comfortable.

“No! Yes! actually.”Xavier replied with his jaw clenched.

Clinton raised an eyebrow at him confused waiting for him to continue before he sighed.

“Will you spit it out already!”Clinton said staring him down.

“Avery found out I was her mate last night-Clinton coughed on his donut beating against his chest and staring at him.

“Damn you couldn’t even give it a couple hours,It’s her birthday. You rejected her as soon as 12 hit or something. Your cruel-A growl came from Xavier as he turned his head to look at Clinton who raised his hands in surrender.

“I didn’t reject her and I’m not going to especially now!”Xavier snapped as Clinton raised an eyebrow at him confused.

“Onyx is her mate as well!”Xavier snapped again outraged running a hand down his face.

“Excuse me!? How is that possible?”Clinton asked confused eyeing Xavier spitting out his donut with wide eyes.

“I’m not sure but he said her and her wolf were special,that’s the only reason she could smell both of us at the same time.”Xavier said staring at the door still.

“He came last night after I followed her to the clearing to check on her. He was dashing through the trees like A mad man before he came in front of us on my land!”Xavier continued closing his eyes.

“Why and how does he know she’s special. This isn’t normal. You said you didn’t reject her and that only happens once you do. So Avery isn’t a normal wolf.”Clinton asked taking another bit of his donut with eyebrow raised.

Xavier sat there turning towards Clinton and raised an eyebrow.

“Does Avery know she special? Does she know what’s up with her?”Clinton asked confused now.

“I don’t think so,when he brought it up she didn’t say anything but looked lost.”Xavier replied scrunching his face up.

“Dude you ruined her birthday and her prom tonight. You’re a jerk!”Clinton snapped before Xavier glared at him.

“I didn’t do it on purpose,geez!”Xavier huffed out and stared blankly at the wall again.

“Don’t just sit there,go apologize!”Clinton growled as Xavier snapped his head towards him in shock and growled in his alpha tone.

Clinton lowered his head annoyed cause it was instinct and there nature to bow down to his Alpha and he was second in command.

“I’m thinking,I don’t know what I can do right now to fix this. She must think I’m an asshole and dammit,I took her virgin-Xavier was cut off before he could finish.

Clinton stood in front of his desk and glared.

“You been having s*x with Avery!”Clinton about whispered/yellow cutting his eyes him.

Xavier sighed and ran his hand through his hair before closing his eyes.

“Yes I have,I took it on my 18th birthday. No one was supposed to know. It was only between us.”Xavier responded as Clinton shook his head at him.

“You’re a jerk! It’s Avery dude! Wait a minute! You knew this whole time and didn’t tell her,s**t you didn’t tell me!”Clinton snapped glaring at him now throwing his donut at him half bitten as it hit Xavier in the face.

Xavier glared at him and growled.

“Mister don’t you use that Alpha tone on me right now! This is serious! Our poor Avery!”Clinton snapped as Avery was his child.

“Watch it Clinton,that’s my mate! You’re not her father!”Xavier snapped back at Clinton cut his eyes and stormed out of the room.

Xavier sighed to himself trying to think of ways to fix this.

He wasn’t good with this stuff,he had been affectionate to her today and he didn’t know why.

He knew why but he never was that affectionate in a loving way towards her even after the fact.

He groaned to himself and hit his head on his desk.

“I’ll be damned if Onyx thinks he’s gonna get his hands on her. He already was able to cross over my land like he owned. This is my mess up and I gotta fix it somehow.”Xavier said to himself sighing again.

Avery sat up as her eyes opened slowly,she saw the clock read 7:30am and groaned to herself.

She was exhausted after crying herself to sleep last night.

She blinked to wake herself up rubbing the crust from her eyes.

As she got up to throw on favorite pair of ripped jeans and her half-shoulder shirt and mix it in with her favorite silver hoop earring’s.

She made sure to brush her hair and brush her teeth before grabbing her book bag off of her chair in her room.

She made it downstairs before a scent hit her hard in the face.

She turned her head towards the kitchen to see a very clean,cut Alpha making breakfast.

He turned and smiled as soon as he saw her,she frowned at him and rolled her eyes feeling the ache in her heart.

“Avery,Come eat something. I made breakfast.”Xavier said smiling at her as she scoffed pulling a banana from the fruit tray and rolling her eyes at him.

“No thanks.”She mumbled before pulling the front door open.

Xavier was by her side in a flash grabbing her hand.

She turned to look at him and saw sadness in them.

“Can I help you?”She asked coldly as his face fell seeing her like this.

“Avery please just let me explain.”Xavier said pleading a little.

No one could make an Alpha beg,this was beyond unusual for him.

Before she could respond she heard a voice outside the door.

“Wassup buttercup,you coming?”

She turned her head towards outside to see Clinton grinning at her.
