Torn Between Two Alpha’s

Avery Stone walked over swinging her book bag as she walked through the school smiling and joking with her best friend Xavier. He gently picked her up and put her on his back as giving her a piggy back ride towards class and gently putting her down in her seat before slipping into his next to her. She watched as the rest of the students piled in and the teacher behind them shutting the door. Everyone sat down looking at the teacher as a girl stumbled and fell on his desk for a second. “Move” Xavier’s alpha tone boomed through the room as the girl squealed in freight moving to the back as everyone looked at him surprised. “It must be nice being the alpha’s best friend A”Clinton said from behind Xavier’s beta and other best friend said shoving me playfully as Xavier Glared at him and he threw his hands up in defense. “Touché,touché ,I’m just joking relax X. You act like I’m here trying to f**k Avery.”Clinton said laughing before Xavier was in front of him in a flash and holding him up by the throat. Every one gasped in surprise even her. She had never see him so flustered by a joke like that and not over her. “X,what are you doing?”Avery said hopping up and grabbing him by the arm in shock with wide eyes. He turned around still looking like looks can kill until he saw her face and it softened as Clinton dropped to the ground. Clinton sat there for a minute rubbing his neck shooting Xavier a confused look. He never seen him act like that,they’ve all been best friends since they were practically in diapers. Something was off today and he wanted to get to the bottom of it and fast. Clinton knew he wasn’t acting like himself. “What the hell was that Xavier Jackson!?”Avery said through gritted teeth. He closed him eyes before putting a palm over his face confused at himself too but he felt different today and he didn’t know why. Something was stirring his stomach,he just turned 17 last year and both him and Avery’s birthday was tomorrow. They both had the same birthday and he looked at her like he couldn’t read her for a moment. “I just need to be alone for a moment please Avery stay here. I promise I’ll be back.”Xavier said as he put a strand of hair behind her ear and he froze for a second and so did she. Everyone in the room seemed to stop as watching them to see what would happen next. Avery moved out of his touch and his heart ached for a moment and he didn’t know why. It’s like he wanted to stop breathing seeing her recoil from his hands. He’s never looked at her as other than a little sister. They’ve been close for years but something was stirring and Xavier didn’t know if he liked it or not. Avery’s eyes were still wide as she watched him walk out of the room confused as much as everyone there. Everyone turned to look at her in shock. Clinton turned to look at me and raised an eyebrows and I shrugged still confused. Clinton’s eyes widened as realizing something and smirked. “What?”I asked looking at him now with an eyebrow raised. “What’s going on between you and the alpha Avery. He doesn’t just do that to just anybody.”Clinton asked implying something. “Clinton now you know me and Xavier have never done anything s****l or romantic towards each other in our life’s nor do we both want too so cut it out. He’s our alpha and our best friend.”Avery snapped as Clinton smirked at her still walking towards her as her eyes grew wide. The thing was Avery could put on a tough act and they would believe her but Xavier took her virginity last year and had been f*****g her ever since. They both knew how to mask the smell without anyone finding out. He just started acting affectionate towards her today in public like that and it threw her off. Her eyes only widened as he stopped himself from marking her once,since that was supposed to be saved for his mate and his Luna. He stop right in front of her face. “Avery isn’t your 18th birthday tomorrow?”He asked smirking. “Yes”She replied looking confused before he laughed at her and gently nudged her on the shoulder. “Relax I’m just messing with you. I know you two would never touch each other. Besides,respectfully you’re too pretty for him.”Clinton replied throwing her a wink laughing as she blushed shoving him. “You play too much”she replied annoyed as her face was turning red. “Awww little wolf is shy,that’s cute.”Clinton said tucking her cheek a little bit as she swatted his hand away. You see these two would always argue and go back to playful banter. They truly were like brother and sister and everyone just shook their head and rolled their eyes. They knew how Avery and Clinton were. “So you still going to prom tomorrow even though it’s your birthday?”Clinton asked as they sat down in the desk beside each other as the teach got back to his teaching. “I don’t know yet no one has asked me,would you go with me?”Avery asked Clinton as looked at him. “I would but Veronica already asked me and she’s a smoking babe. I might get lucky tomorrow.” Clinton said ruffling Avery’s hair as she pulled away from him annoyed. “Eew gross Clinton”Avery replied as she heard the bell ring. She grabbed her stuff and made her way to her next class hoping Xavier was okay. As the last bell rung Avery was insanely worried since she didn’t see Xavier once since that first class and their weird interaction they had. As she walked out the front door she looked around for him to not even see his car anywhere. She sighed to herself before pulling out her phone and calling him but it kept going to voicemail. She was genuinely confused as if she did something but she didn’t know what. As she was stuck in her thoughts a car pulled up to the front doors and she saw Clinton with his window down. “Hey baby? Looking for a ride hot stuff.”Clinton said jokingly as she rolled her eyes at him before pulling on the car door and getting in to the vehicle. As the car began to move she was confused and worried about Xavier. “Have you seen-Before she could finish Clinton turned to look at her and said “Xavier’s been in the pack house since this morning. I think there’s a storm brewing”Clinton said with a wink implying something. She looked at him confused and tilted her head. “Is there something you know that I don’t because you keep doing that every time something about Xavier pops up?”She asked eyeing him suspiciously. Clinton laughed while looking at the road and turned to her pulling his shades on top of his head and winked. “You’re going to be very surprised when you find out but just leave it as a surprise okay.”He finished looking back at the road as they pulled up to the pack house. Avery sighed as she got out and opened the door. She did not understand what was happening today.
